Poppies: A Symbol of Remembrance

May 18, 2023. Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you a heartwarming patriotic card. During the First World War, millions of soldiers saw fields filled with thousands of Flanders poppies flourishing in the midst of chaos and destruction. Some even sent pressed poppies home in letters. Now over 100 years later, red poppies are worn as a show of support for all those who lost their lives from the beginning of the First World War until present day.
Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today …
BRAND NEW Poppy Remembrance Patriotic Combo
Colors I Used:
Poppies – R24, R37, R59
Stems – YG13, G94
Boot – E31, E33, E37
Sole of the Boot – C0, C1, C3, C5, C9
EZ Runner Grand Tape Dispenser
Using our BRAND NEW Poppy Remembrance Patriotic Combo I stamped both the poppy filled boot and the sentiment with our Black Hybrid Ink. I gave color to this piece with our Copic Markers. The border is from the Stitches Of Love Die Set. I thought that was very appropriate for this card.
This sentiment is also from the Poppy Remembrance Patriotic Combo .
I put one of the banners together and cut it in half. I’ll use the other half on another card.

I used the Stampendable, Deluxe Adhesive andEZ Runner Grand Tape Dispenser to complete the card. I just love the BRAND NEW Poppy Remembrance Patriotic Combo.
