Let It Snow Snow Snow
Hidey Ho Stampers,
January 3, 2025. It’s SNOWING!!! Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you a really cute little winter card. Whether we like it or not, winter is here. It’s so pretty and fun to play in! Driving around yesterday EVERYONE was making snowpeople! Sooooooooo pretty!
Head on over to Teaspoon of Fun for all your paper crafting needs
and share this site with your friends!
Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…
Iridescent White Glitter paper
Colors I used: B23, B24, B29, Y13
Waterc0l0r Well Flower Palette or Watercolor Well Paw Palette
I use the Twin Tone Marker Set for the details.
Let’s start with the background and the awesome NEW Copic Texture Kit. Rip a scrap piece of paper for your snow and add it to the bottom of your layer using the EZ Grand Tape Dispenser and the Repositionable Dots Refill so you can take it off after you color. Color the 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer with your three blue Copic Markers. Make sure they are blended together as they meet each other. Next, take your NEW Copic Texture Kit to texturize the background. For this one I used the terry cloth (after adding the solution make sure you “tickle your terry” with the Silicone Brush Cleaner. I love love love this new technique. Adhere this layer to the card base using the EZ Grand Tape Dispenser and your choice of refills. I love that you can just pop one out and then pop a new one in. It’s a MUST in your stamp room.
Now it’s time to work on your street lamp. I used the Snowy Street Lamp Fancy Die. I cut this one out of Black Holographic Card Stock then cut just the top out of Vellum Card Stock. The only part I used from the vellum is the inserts. I colored the back of the three inserts with my Y13 Copic Marker and added it to back of the lamp with regular tape. Adhere this to the card using Black Foam Strips. I added the little piece of snow from the die included in the Snowy Street Lamp Fancy Die (it’s made just for the top of the lamp post) and cut it from Iridescent White Glitter paper.
Let’s work on our cute little girl and snowman. I used the new Snow Greetings Combo. It has a matching die. I stamped it with Black Hybrid Ink Pad using the StampWheel cut it out with the matching die. I colored it with the Altenew Watercolor Pans, Make Art Stay-tion, Make Art Stay-tion Magnets, Watercolor Paper, #4 Watercolor Brush, #1 Watercolor Brush, Waterc0l0r Well Flower Palette or Watercolor Well Paw Palette, and theSilicone Dispenser. These are staples for watercoloring. Once you have them, you have what you need to color with watercolor. I use the Twin Tone Marker Set for enhancing the details. I added some sparkle to the pom poms and the rim of her hat using our Wink of Stella. If you would like dots or stripes for the scarf, use the White Gel Pen.
Pop her up with White Regular Foam Squares. I also added some Wink of Stella to the bottom of the card where I had made the snow.
Last but not least add the Let It Snow Die. I always cut three – one out of Iridescent White Glitter paper for the top and two out of white cardstock for the bottom. Glue the tree of them together and add them to the card layer using the Precision Glue Press.
Add your card to one of our A2 White or A2 Cream Envelopes and mail it off to your dear friend.
…and here is how I store my Copic Markers.
