Hope Hope Hope with Butterflies

Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…
In literature and art, butterflies are used to signify hope, love, and the soul’s eternal nature. Their gentle flight is a reminder of life’s fleeting moments and the importance of embracing joy and freedom.
Copic Markers (I used BV00, BV08, BV13, V12)
Distress Oxide Pads – (I used Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint)
Distress Oxide Re-Inker – (I used Shaded Lilac and Villainous Potion)

I started with the Slimline Cornered Die Set and layered it using our White Crafty Foam Tape. It’s a kaleidoscope affect. I love the elegance of this look. GORGEOUS! Before you adhere it together with the White Crafty Foam Tape, you will want to do a few things. Let’s start with the splattering. Take one of our palettes (either the Paw Palette or Flower Palette) and squeeze some of the Distress Oxide Re-Inker into the well – (I used Shaded Lilac and Villainous Potion) into the wells of the palette. Using your #6 Watercolor Brush, pick up some of the ink and splatter it on your paper.
Next you will want to take the Script Bold Prints and Distress Oxide Ink – (I used Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint) randomly ink up the stamp. Lightly stamp on the card layer several times. Now you will want put the layers together using our White Crafty Foam Tape. It’s a kaleidoscope affect. Grab one of your Slimline Card Bases and attach these layers to the base.
Using your new STAMPWHEEL, stamp all four of the butterflies on scrap paper and cut them out with the coordinating dies. Color with Copic Markers (I used BV00, BV08, BV13, V12). Then I used our Score Board to score a line down the middle of each of the butterflies so they bend neatly and evenly (these are butterflies in flight)!
Let’s have some fun with them now. Spritz some of our Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray over the butterflies and watch them come to life with this sparkle! Using the Tiny Tattered Florals Quilling set make 4 of the smallest flowers and adhere them to the butterflies with our Precision Glue Press and Deluxe Adhesive.
You are going to cut out the leaf “bush” 2 times out of white cardstock from the Floral Vase Pop Up Easel Die and burnish it with our Blending Brushes and our Distress Oxide Ink – (I used Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint). Cut some of the small leaves from the same set out of Silver Mirror Paper. Using our Regular White Foam Squares (the smaller ones from the back), attach all the butterflies and the foliage to the slimline base.
Now it’s time to put this gorgeous card into one of our Slimline Envelopes and set it out for a special person!
