Laser Cut Butterflies Thinlit Windows Card with Deb Valder

January 1, 2015 | 38 Comments

hidy ho and HAPPY NEW YEAR stampers,

Today’s card is pretty cool.  I saw a card online that used a framlit for the cardbase.  We don’t have anything like that so…..I adapted it to our Butterfly Thinlit.  Here’s the card, let me know what you think:

dryer-sheet-thinlit-window-card-beautiful-butterfly-butterflies-basics-stacked-with-love-designer-series-paper-stack-window-sheet-fork-bow-sale-a-bration-1

doesen’t it look like it’s part of the whole base card?

you can actually see through the card!

here I just switched out the color of the butterfly.

and here’s the inside of the card!

a close up, you can see through the butterfly!

So how did I do that?  Here is the video, just click on it if you are viewing this from your email and it will take you to my blog video posting.  LOVE THIS!!!!!

so what do you think?  Pretty cool huh?!

I made a card yesterday, finally, using your wonderful technique and it turned out so cute. I backed mine with 4 x 5 ¼” card stock in white as several people will be signing this card. Now I am addicted – I am presently making a patriotic nested star card with the SU Stars framelits and it is turning out so wonderful. Thank you so much for showcasing this technique! Blessings and joy – Shari
