Budding Gladiola

April 14, 2025. Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you a very pretty Gladiola set. I paired it with several other dies we have in the shop! It’s a fantastic collection of dies. They look beautiful as a single stem and look just as beautiful all bundled together. It’s pure joy.

Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…
New – Ice White Perlen Pen
Distress Oxide Ink Pad (I used Tumbled Glass)
Colors I used:
Purple Flower – BV02, BV08, BV13, YG03, YG13
Yellow Flower – YG13, YG03, YG67, Y02, Y17, E13
Sentiment and Butterfly – Y11, Y13, Y15, Y35, YR04, W9
Grass – YG03, YG63, YG67
Fence – C1, W2

MUST HAVE TOOLS IN YOUR CRAFT ROOM
I combined two of our new Gladiolas – Budding Gladiola Stem and Fanciful Gladiola Stem Die
I started with the card base and the Slimline Clouds Stencil, Distress Oxide Ink Pad, and Blending Brushes. I stenciled the clouds using Tumbled Glass ink. Then I added the Brush Hello Die. I cut it three times and glued them together using our Precision Glue Press.
Cut one Wood Fence Fancy Die . Color with Copics and add it to the card base with White Crafty Foam Tape.
Add the Budding Gladiola Stem and Fanciful Gladiola Stem Die to the fence.
Next we’re going to add the grass and the butterfly from the Butterfly Foliage Fancy Die. I colored them using our Copic Markers (all colors are listed above) and added them using Regular White Foam Squares and White Micro Foam Squares.
I finished it off with our new Ice White Perlen Pen. It worked really well for little glitzy pearls to the sky. These new pens are amazing. They are new to the shop and they look like pearls. They come in ice white and cream.

Here is the second one – Fanciful Gladiola Stem Die – in a series I showed you. I will do an entire floral garden at the end but I thought it was important to show you them one by one first – they are all beautiful in their own way! You can cut the pieces from colored cardstock but I like to cut them from white and color with our Copic Markers.
