MUST HAVE TOOLS IN YOUR CRAFT ROOM
I’m going to show you how to raise the dome but you can make this a SHAKER CARD or a flat card or whatever combo you’d like. This is a very versatile set. You can use the dome or not use the dome. Put your macarons and cupcakes on other cards all by themselves. They are just a perfect size for card making. The pedestal can be cut down to fit an A2 (regular sized) card. SOOOOOOOOO many ideas running in my head!
I used one of our Slimline Card Bases and added some Buttercup Slimline Paper for the background (but it will fit on a regular A2 card base) using the EZ Grand Tape Runner. There are some beautiful papers in this light and springy paper pack.
Cut all the pieces from the Cloche Die Set and from the Happy Birthday Debut Script
- Cut the macarons and the cupcakes from white card stock and color them with Copic Markers.
- Cut the cloche dome rim and the background from the Happy Birthday Debut Script from our amazing Sparkle Paper. You can choose the color you love from our variety pack. SAVE THE INSERT from the rim – see #3 below.
- I cut the pedestal from the sparkle paper BUT to save paper, I used the leftover cutout from the dome rim. GENEIOUS!
- Cut the cloche skirt from Buttercup Slimline Paper
- Cut the plate from White Pearl Card Stock.
- Cut the dome from the Acetate Sheets.
- Cut the Happy Birthday (upper Piece), the top of the cloche, the bottom rim of the glass dome, and the bottom rim of the pedestal from Silver Mirror Paper.
- You will also need to cut a glass dome from our Acetate Sheets (Clear Window Sheets for Jar)
Using Copic Markers color the cupcakes and macarons or color with whatever you love to color with (you can also cut them from colored paper and no coloring needed). I left the filling in the macrons white but you can certainly color that also. For some highlights on the macrons I used my White Gel Pen. Assemble the sweets now. It’s very important to have a Jewel Picker, a Retractable Pick and Fine Tip Tweezers to help with the assembly. It makes life so much easier and a lot more fun. When putting the cupcakes together I put a Thin White Foam Square between the base and the frosting to give a little lift. Color the frosting with Wink of Stella.
Assembly:
- Add your silver rim to the bottom of the pedestal then add to the Slimline Card Base using the Precision Glue Press.
- Add the cloche skirt also using the Precision Glue Press. If you don’t have a Precision Glue Press you need to get one from us! It’s the best.
- Now add the white plate. I used our White Pearl Card Stock for that.
- I added two of the macrons using the Precision Glue Press (the blue and the green). The yellow one was added with a Thin White Foam Squares. The top three (purple, pink and top yellow) were added using Regular White Foam Squares. This gives the look so 3 dimensional! Super cool.
- Assemble the dome by adding the rim to the the Acetate Window using once again the Precision Glue Press.
- Add the Silver Mirror Paper top and bottom rim to the dome.
- Pop this finished dome up by putting White 3D Foam Strips on the bottom rim and Regular White Foam Squares to the top. This will pop up the glass dome without seeing any adhesive.
- Attach to the pedestal.
Adhere the Happy Birthday Debut Script together using Precision Glue Press then add to the card base as seen above. It is Silver Mirror Paper even though it looks gold (it was my shirt reflection ha ha ha).
I dotted the “i” with Crystal Drops (I used Metallic Silver Lining for the DOT on the i).
I love using the Acetate Sheets (Clear Window Sheets for Jar) because it looks real! Can you see the reflection above? I added the cupcakes using Regular White Foam Squares.
Cloche Die Set used as a shaker card.
You can fill the jar with ANYTHING!!!!
Remember to pick up some Slimline Cards and add your card to one of our Slimline Envelopes and mail it off to your dear friend.
