Teacher Gift using Perfect Blend with Deb Valder and Stampin’ Up!

Project· Video

24 Aug

Hidy Ho Stampers, Let me show you how to make this mini coffee cup …. so grab your good morning coffee!

Today I have a little inexpensive very fast gift you can make for a friend that loves coffee.

How about making a Coffee Bean Holder, mini coffee cup

and a gift card holder (maybe from Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks)

Here is a little sack you can put together to hold coffee beans or (for my Diva Day), I had the girls put “Coffee Nips” in there (just a hard candy).  The sack is an item from Stampin’ Up’s 2013 – 2014 Holiday Catalog #132180 Mini Muslin Bags.  I died it by just spritzing with one of our Stampin’ Spritzers #126185 found on page 164 of the 2013-2014 Stampin Up Idea book and catalog (for that price, and you get two to a package, why not have several on hand).  I filled the spritzer with 1/4″ Early Espresso Re-Inker and the rest with rubbing alcohol and just sprayed the bag.  **Important – you should just rinse the bag out first to get all the “sizing” out of it (that’s that stiff stuff they put on it in the store).  Then I stamped with Black Stazon ink and used the adorable new set called Perfect Blend (#130745 wood mount or #131392 clear mount).  Now to get the white lid and banner, I used our NEW White Stampin’ Chalk Marker to color it in #132133.  Love these!  It really looks nice with this little hilight.

Then I made a gift card from the same stamp set (Perfect Blend).  I stamped the coffee cup image three times – once on Soft Suede cardstock, once on Whisper White cardstock and once on Rich Razzleberry Designer Series Paper.  Then I cut them out and used the stamping technique called “Paper Piecing” to put it all together.  It’s adorable.  The sentiment also came from Perfect Blend.

here is the inside.  The card is cut 9 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ and scored at 4 and 8.  Use a little Sticky Strip to adhere the little folded up pocket and insert your gift card.

And why not add a mini coffee cup with it.  Inside is Nescafe Taster’s Choice individual instant coffee packet.  Too cute.  The original idea for this little cup came from a WOW swap I did at convention from a gal named Melodee Marienthal.

I think this would make a super cute teacher gift for that teacher that just might need a little “pick me up” on the first day of school!  Hope you enjoyed my post.  If you would like to purchase any of these items from my online store, just hop on over to my website and shop away.  There are many “perks” to shop with me online (get it – perk  –  coffee  –  ha ha ha!)  Here are just a few.
