Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…
Cobblestone 3D Embossing Folder
Colors I used:
Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Gathered Twigs, Peeled Paint
Micron Archival Ink Fine Tip Pen 005
Copic Markers – C3, C7

1. I started this card by using one of my A2 Cream Card Bases. Pre-cut card bases are in the shop and so are the matching envelopes. It’s so nice to have pre-cut cards. You just grab one and start to create.
2. Next take a piece of gray card stock and spritz it with the Mini Mister. Add this to the Cobblestone 3D Embossing Folder and run it through your die cutting machine. Remember this is a 3D embossing folder so you will need to take out some of the shims on your die cutting machine. Why do we spritz it with water first? Well easy….it is to mold the 3D folder into your card stock. These folders are so deep and so detailed that spritzing your card stock allows it to mold to the embossing folder.
3. Add this to your A2 Cream Card Base using the Precision Glue Press and Deluxe Adhesive. Turn your card base over and on the back of the card use your BRAND NEW Smooshy to help give an even attachment of your card base and embossed layer. This just smooooooothes the process. Try our new Smooshy.
4. Next stamp the Spell Book Stamp onto a cream colored piece of card stock and use your new Smooshy to help get the image even and consistent . Pick the book title you’d like from the Spell Book Potions Stamp Set. There are so many options with these two sets and lots and lots of stamps so you can make each book so individualized. ADORABLE!
5. Color in with Distress Oxide and the Mini Blending Brushes. Just burnish in color. This makes it look so cool. I added some detail back into the book using the Micron Archival Ink Fine Tip Pen.
6. Fussy cut the book out using the 6″ Haberdashery Cutting Scissors.
7. Add it to the card base using Thin Black Foam Squares.
8. I stamped the lock from the Spell Book Stamp and colored it with the Copic Markers adding shadows under the screws and keyhole.
9. Cut it out using the 6″ Haberdashery Cutting Scissors.
10. Pop it up using the Thin Black Foam Squares.
11. Color over the lock with Wink of Stella to make it glisten.
12. Cut out a Witches hat from the Spooky Halloween Die Set using Black Mirror Paper and Silver Mirror Paper .
13. Attach the band and buckle using the Precision Glue Press and Deluxe Adhesive.
14. Pop that onto the top of the book using Regular Black Foam Squares.
15. The last detail I added was the cat which came from the Build a Graveyard Die Set.
16. I used 3D Black Foam Strips and Micro Black Foam Squares to attach the cat.
What a card!!!! I LOVE IT and the way it came out.
Add your card to one of our A2 White or A2 Cream Envelopes and mail it off to your dear friend.
