Slimline Peekaboo Marquee
Hidy Ho Stampers,
August 14, 2020. HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!! Did you make it?! I have another slimline card for you today and it’s so stinken cute!!! It’s my slimline Peekaboo Marquee card using the Giraffes Peeking set. Oh my gosh….so stinken cute. I smiled the whole time I was making it.
I wanted to tell you that we just loaded a bunch of new product into the shoppe including many new dies for our slimline collection! We just re-ordered more as they are flying off the shelf! Get your order into the queue so you don’t have to wait.
Here’s my inspiration! ha ha ha
Let’s start with the Slimline Marquee Die. I cut one out and saved the cut-outs for another card! Then I used our distress oxide ink to stencil the Giraffe Stencil (links below for the inks – I used Mustard Seed and Brushed Corduroy). Then ….I cleaned my brushes with our BRAND NEW Silicone Brush Cleaner. If you have any of our Blending Brushes then this is something you need to add to your stamping tool collection. It really cleans your brushes! Make sure you check out the video below. I love things that help speed up the cleaning process.
Slimline Marquee Die and Giraffe Stencil
I used the leftover pieces of the stenciled card stock for the inside of the card.
(I pieced it together withe a black strip.) And that’s it.
Next I stamped the three giraffes from the Giraffes Peeking stamp set. I colored them with Copic Markers and cut them out. I used the following colors (and they can all be found in the Teaspoon of Fun shoppe or by clicking on the links in the menu at the bottom of the post:
Eyes – B00
Giraffes – E53, E55, E74, Y21 and YR14
Tongue – RV00, RV32
After cutting them out, I placed them on the backside of the Marquee Frame. Then I attached the frame with White Foam Tape and Standard Foam Squares.
Next I took a black piece of card stock and stamped all the words with WOW ink and White DETAILED Embossing Powder (and you definitely want to use the DETAILED embossing powder, it makes a HUGE difference). Make sure you use the Powder Tool Applicator so you don’t get white embossing powder where you don’t want it. It’s a MUST have! Then heat with your heat tool. For these, I just free-hand cut them out and attached with our Deluxe Adhesive.
This was a pretty quick card. It’s just so cute I can’t stand it. You’ll be seeing a lot of these as well as our slimline collection. Get them now and craft right along with me!
