Weaving Fancy Background
Hidy Ho Stampers,
June 3, 2024. First ….. Our PRECISION GLUE PRESS is back in stock! They are a huge seller and in tremendous demand!! Okay….Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you a card I created using the Weaving Fancy Die along with our New Monarch and Milkweed Combo.
Head on over to Teaspoon of Fun for all your paper crafting needs
and share this site with your friends!
Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…
Stampwheel Center Alignment Guides
(switched to)….Stitched Nesting Ovals
Colors I used:
Milkweed – RV 34, RV91, RV95
Stem – E33, Y23
Leaves & Caterpillar – Y11, G21, BG75
Tim Holtz 6″ Haberdashery Scissors
I cut out the ovals using our Stitched Nesting Ovals dies (I switched to Stitched Nesting Ovals because the cross stitch set was discontinued). I adhered them together with our EZ Grand Tape Runner. Cut out three Hello Dear Friend dies and adhere them together with our PRECISION GLUE PRESS filled with our Deluxe Adhesive. Lay the sentiment onto one set of the ovals and set aside.
Using the STAMPWHEEL, stamp the Monarch & Milkweed Combo with our Black Hybrid Ink then color with our Copic Markers (colors I used are listed above). I also used the Micron Archival Fine Tip Pen for details on the caterpillar. I used our Thin White Foam Squares to adhere the flower to the ovals. Set this aside.
Now let’s work on our gorgeous Weaving Fancy Die . I cut three frames in different colors and wove them together. SOOOOOOO pretty. Mix and match your colors. I’ve shown some examples below and how you can change up your weave patterns.
This is how the initial weave looks. It’s fast and fun. Add some Deluxe Adhesive to the back of the frame and adhere it to your card base. Using your cutter or our Tim Holtz 6″ Haberdashery Scissors, trim off the ends.
Did you ever use a loom when you were a child to make pot holders? So much fun and fantastic memories!
Awwwww yes NOW you remember!!!! They were so much fun and I still have some I made my mom when I was a kid. CLICK HERE to see the kit.
Here are some other examples of our Weaves…..

Here are two examples of different combinations. You can weave the red, white and blue or you can take the strips and just lay them in the panels onto your card base.
I love the black and white one … I weaved only a few strips then adhered to the white card base.
(see below for a closeup)
Cut out your black Weaving Fancy Die, then weave only 4 of the strips and add to your card base. The different possibilities are endless.
Now here’s another way to play with this die. Cut two panels of different colors.
Offset them so they fit in the blank panel. Glue them together and adhere to your card base. Trim off each end.
Add your card to one of our A2 White or A2 Cream Envelopes and mail it off to your dear friend.
Stay tuned for a LOT more with this Weaving Die we carry in our Teaspoon of Fun Shop.
