Toolbox 3D Combo

June 20, 2023. Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you a really cool masculine card. It uses one of our BRAND new 3D embossing folders that also has a matching die. We’ve shown you a couple of these in the shop and this is another addition to that collection. Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today …

Toolbox 3D Embossing Folder and Die Combo
Colors I used for the large hammer handle:
Black Soot
NEW – Lost Shadow
Colors I used:
Saw – Y23, Y26, E13
Drill – C7, C9, 110, Y08, Y17
Small Hammer Handle – Y23, E55, E15
Screwdriver – Y08, Black Micron Pen
This is what the Toolbox 3D Embossing Folder looks like. It’s so detailed. You can emboss it on any color card stock and use it for a background as I did in this sample.
There are 6 dies that are part of this combo as seen above.
Make sure you cut out the dies BEFORE you emboss them. If you emboss then cut, you are going to lose some of the 3D embossed image. I cut out a white set, a Silver Mirror Paper Set and a Gunmetal Mirror Paper set. Then I embossed them all. It’s so fast and so easy but GORGEOUS!!!
The one on the right is just cut out. Then I ran it through the embossing folder….LOOK AT HOW MUCH DETAIL IS PUT IN THERE!!! WOWZER!!!!
Here I cut one in white, one in Gunmetal and one in Silver Mirror Paper. I colored the white hammer handle with Copic Markers (colors listed above). Then I cut the Gunmetal off at the hammer head using our Haberdashery 6″ Scissors; next cut off at the next line up for the Silver Mirror Paper. Use your Deluxe Adhesive to adhere all three layers together. Now you can CERTAINLY cut it out of just cardstock but this is so much cooler!
I just explained the hammer above. The Screwdriver is Silver Mirror Paper for the end part and I cut the white part off, colored it and adhered it to the Silver Mirror Paper.
The wrench is just Silver Mirror Paper. This hammer is Silver Mirror Paper on top and it is laid on the white card stock for the handle. I colored the handle with our Distress Oxide Ink and Finger Sponge Daubers. To make it look more realistic, make sure you put the Black Soot on the bottom and dab with our BRAND NEW Lost Shadow. This color is stunning. It’s a must have for your Distress Oxide Ink collection.
The saw and the drill are my fav’s! I did the blade with Gunmetal Mirror Paper and the handle was white and I colored it with Copics. After coloring I cut the handle off and added it on top of the Gunmetal. For the drill, I used the Silver Mirror Paper as the base and added the white layer. I then colored the white layer. To achieve the detail, I used the Black Micron Archival Pen.
The Stacked Happy Birthday Die was cut out of the Gunmetal Mirror Paper once and twice out of White cardstock. Adhere all three layers together with Deluxe Adhesive and then to the embossed layer.
And here you have this gorgeous masculine birthday card!
