Hat & Scarf – R27, R37, R59
Snow on Beak & Eyes – B00, B02, B23
Beak, Legs & Neck – Y11, Y15, Y17, YR04
Body – C1, C3, C5, C7, 110
0 Colorless Blender
This card is so much fun! Lots of amazing techniques with Copic Markers. Let’s start with the background. I did the Ombre look. Start at the bottom withe B29 and switch to B24 then the top is B23 blending them together as you go to the next color. You’ll do the same with the Birthday Wishes Word Die. Set them aside for now. Cut the Extreme Postage Die out of white card stock and color JUST THE EDGES with B29 (the edges are the only part that will be seen so only color the edges – the Wonky Stitched Rectangles will cover the rest.
Cut the Wonky Stitched Rectangles out of white card stock and stamp the image from the So Annoying Stamp Set using our Hybrid Black Ink Pad and the StampWheel. Color with Copic Markers using the list above. Put these three layers together using your Precision Glue Press .
Bring in the Birthday Wishes. We are going to use the NEW Copic Texture Kit and dab it with one of your texture materials. I used the terry cotton square.
Fill your dispenser with Copic Various Ink or 99% Isoprophyl Alcohol. Dab this onto your texture square of choice. For this card I used the terry cotton square. Fluff up the terry then hold it on your piece and count to five! Lift and repeat until you Birthday Wishes is done. Don’t add it to the card yet.
Finishing touches. Let’s add some Fluffy Stuff to the hat brim.
Simply apply a thin layer to the hat. It will look shiny before you heat it.
Heat it with the Heat Tool and watch it fluff up. It’s so stinken cute!
To finish it off, add the Birthday Wishes using some Crafty White Foam Tape . Now add some Bright Fairy Jewels (I used the beautiful blue ones – here they look black but in person, they are a GORGEOUS royale blue.)
Add some Wink of Stella to the “i’s” in Birthday and Wishes. I also added it to the drips from his hat and beak. Then for a few highlights I used our White Gel Pen.
Add your card to one of our A2 White or A2 Cream Envelopes and mail it off to your dear friend.
I get asked all the time “How do you store your Copics?” This is the unit I used for mine….
