Hidy Ho Stampers,
I stumbled upon this technique which is not new but it was to me. So I wanted to research and do a video history of all the ways you could use it. So this card is the first in my series of Ombre cards. First thing I did was look it up in the dictionary. It sounded Spanish to me but it's actually a French word. This is what it had to say "having colors or tones that shade into each other – used especially with fabrics in which the color is graduated from light to dark." Okay, no where did they mention PAPER!!!! Well, Webster, you haven't met Stampin' Up! so I'm here to show you what we can do with Ombre and card stock! :0)
soooooooo cool!
So here is how I did it… If you are viewing this in your inbox, click here to see the video (grab some popcorn, put your feet up and enjoy – then go try it!)
Isn't that so cool? I used colors from the Neutrals Family but
you can use different colors as long as they go from light to dark!
Then it can be called OMBRE! :0)
REMINDERS!!!!!
Remember to put April 21st onto your calendar!!!! That is the day that Stampin' Up!'s RETIRED list will be out. YOU NEED TO SHOP ON THAT DAY on my website www.stampladee.stampinup.net as things sell out fast. Once they are gone, they are gone. This goes for STAMPS AND ACCESSORIES!!!! This looks like a cool card. I will be out of town until May 6 but hope to get MUCH MORE involved after that. I would like to find out how to join an on-going group.
