Leaving Stampin Up joining Fun Stampers Journey with Deb Valder

Diva Gal

Hidy Ho stampers,

Leaving Stampin Up joining Fun Stampers Journey with Deb Valder.   It is with a heavy heart that I tell you yesterday was my last day as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.

As you know for the past three years I have not been a full service demonstrator to customers and to my team because I do not use Photopolymer Stamps.  For that reason, as of December 1st, 2015,  I will start a new journey!  I hope you will continue to follow me, REMEMBER – it was red rubber that connected all of us.

I turned in my 30-day resignation on November 1st and had the most wonderful conversation with Shelli Gardner, CEO of Stampin’ Up! on November 2nd.  She totally respects my decision and really does understand.  I will miss her and everyone in the home office.   Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator was absolutely one of the best things I have ever done.  I will always be grateful for all the friendships I’ve formed and what I’ve learned about myself through this process.

So what’s next for me?  I will be joining the Fun Stampers Journey Crew.  I am so excited about this.  This is a new company (one year old) and they are growing by leaps and bounds.  I want to get in on the ground floor.  Kevin and I went to one of their functions in Minneapolis and totally fell in love with their passion and excitement.  Richard (the owner of the company) has been in this industry for over 20 years so he definitely knows what he is doing and how exciting to have a male spin on things.  He and his wife are amazing.

Why did I pick this particular company?:

As a Coach (which is what I will be called)…

  1. EVERY STAMP IS RED RUBBER THAT IS INDEXED (no putting together with plastic images that do not stick to the blocks – that is the best part!!!!). Remember, the whole reason I’m leaving is because of the stamp selection.  I’ve researched several companies over the past three years and this company and I were meant to be.  I’m so stinken excited!
  1. Their catalog is a catalog (not a magazine) and it’s huge (it’s 221 pages of amazing product). From their first year to their second year, they added 400 new products.
  1. I love the stamps and the product.
  1. REMEMBER, I’m not going away. As a Fun Stampers Journey Coach, really the ONLY thing that will change for me is the catalog and my store website will now be www.funstampersjourney.com/debvalder.  I will continue to blog and do my YouTube videos, I will continue to teach classes in my home, I will continue to teach at Continuing Ed, I will start new clubs and hopefully a new team.  I’m here if you EVER have any questions or need anything I can help with.

As a Customer oh my gosh….can I tell you the benefits for a customer are amazing.  The hostess gets more free stuff than you can ever imagine.  Every time you order, for each $50 you order, you get to pick out something for free – EVERY TIME YOU ORDER (see page 5 for details) annnnnnd the hostess benefits are OUTSTANDING (see page 7 for details)!

So what I would suggest FIRST is to go to my NEW website www.funstampersjourney.com/debvalder and order a catalog #CL-0003 for $9.95 and don’t forget to add a Bloom Tool #TO-0073 for $14.99 (page 199).  You KNOW you are going to want one after I show you all about it so just add it to your catalog order!

Sorry to see you leave. I don’t buy many of the stamps you don’t like, but I loved the Stampin Up paper and some of the other products. And still use many of their stamps, although I buy a lot of other kinds too. I looked at the new web site where you’ll be and not crazy about the stamps and can’t get any of the other things to come up. Maybe after I’ve watched your videos will change my mind. I hope so because I love the way you do the demonstrations. I wish you lots of good things and happy trails. Will be looking forward to the new videos. Do I have to sign up again or will you keep your same mailing address to keep us signed up with you? Also if you sell any of your SU things I’d be interested in some of them. Thanks and good luck. Edna

Deb, I follow your blog religiously! I am soooo happy to hear your news!! I have recently joined a FSJ club in my area and have been VERY happy. I love the stamp/die sets they have and their accessories are different from the usual – my favorite so far are the sequins! Being the company is so new – it has been somewhat difficult to find bloggers and project ideas on line. I cannot tell you how happy I am that I will have you to inspire me and I wish you the best of luck! Will we continue to receive your posts via e- mail as before? Thank you!! Barb

Thank you Barb!!!!! Isn’t this the best thing ever!!!! I’m glad you belong to a club and can see the product being used in person but the next best thing is social media….post cards and projects from FSJ and we will get the word out there! Thank you and enjoy the journey! Thank you. If you have any questions, let me know. deb http://www.funstampersjourney.com/debvalder for all your shopping needs.

Congratulations Deb on your new adventure. I have been a SU Demo for about 1 1/2 yrs and you have been the greatest inspiration to me during this time. I love all of your techniques and ideas. To those who say they can’t follow you anymore because you aren’t a SU Demo my reply is “Good Grief”! Open your minds people. There is nothing wrong with sharing good ideas! I look forward to seeing more of your new product and how to use it. I am very interested in learning more about your new product lines and wish you the very best in your new adventure.

That would be me. Thank you for continuing to follow me, I love my new job and I love the support that I’m receiving. This is a huge jump for you!! I love your blog and can only believe that no matter what product you use, you put your cleaver spin on it. I am quite curious as to why you have such a diversion to the photopolymer stamps though. I have used them for years (another company though) and absolutely LOVE them. Best of luck to you – keep doing what you do with that fun loving up-beat personality!

  49. Deb says

    December 22, 2015 at 9:51 am

Thank you so much Tarina. You are so sweet and your lovely comment was welcomed with open arms! I love my new company and they are all Red Rubber! I don’t use Photopolymer because of what they are made of, if you are still curious, you can ask for a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS Sheet) from SU, they have to give that to you. They say theirs are different from other Photopolymer so maybe the ones you use are not this bad. If you have any questions, let me know. deb http://www.funstampersjourney.com/debvalder for all your shopping needs.
