April 22, 2023. Today’s card share from Teaspoon of Fun is a beautiful slimline kaleidoscope card using our new tulip stacking die. Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…
Slimline Cornered Nesting Die Set
Colors I used:
Tulips – R05, R27, R39, YG13, YG17, G28
Butterfly – Y06, YR04, R24
Triangle Embellishment Sorting Tray
Let’s start with the Slimline Cornered Nesting Die Set. Using it like this gives it the kaleidoscope affect. Here we have the Slimline Card Base then two layers on top of that. Cut the top layer first. Then lay that on your second layer and pencil a few marks to see where to center the second layer. Cut the second cornered die out. Before you adhere them together, stamp your Spring Sentiments (we have other slimline sentiments in the shop also). Using our White Crafty Foam Tape will help you raise the layers.
Cut out lots of Layered Tulips either in white and color with our Copic Markers or cut them out of colored card stock. Cut out both the tulip petals and the stems. I used the petals for the leaves. Curl your petals and leaves with the Crease Tool. The flowers are put together with our Deluxe Adhesive. I also used that to adhere the stems and leaves together. To add them to the card I used Regular White Foam Squares.
Next I cut out the little butterfly from the Wisteria Heroscape set.
I added some Wink of Stella to make him sparkle.
It’s so cute and the perfect size.
I added Fairy Drops to the flowers with our Crystal Glaze to hold them in place. They give the look of dew on the petals. The Fairy Drops come in several sizes so I use our Triangle Embellishment Sorting Tray to sort them out (it’s so easy to clean up the drops by just sliding them back into the container). You need a sorting tray! Use the Jewel Picker to pick them up and lay on the Crystal Glaze.
Use one of our Slimline Envelopes to mail and you are set to go!
