All Posts

18 Jan

Hidy Ho and Happy Sunday everyone,

Current Hostess Code:  JRD29Q97

Today’s card is more of the Laser Cutting Technique.  It’s not actually laser cut but our thinlit dies can give you that effect!.  So here you go…

did you see how I layered the

Painted Blooms inside the cutout?

window sheet behind the cutout to hold in the DSP

and here is the “happy” that was cut from the card base!

So do you want to know how I did it?  Click here to view the video from your email.

Now I need some help, do you think it would have looked better if I put the Blackberry Bliss Cardstock back in or did you like how I used the Designer Series Paper (DSP)?  I think I like the DSP in there the best!  What are you thinking?

Also remember that I have a few specials going on right now:

1.  Stamp of the Month Classes (you can click on the tab above for details).  It’s been a huge hit and I’m almost finished with February’s so watch for that one to post shortly!  (if you are viewing this in your email, click here to see the details).

I notice that you run the die through the big shot first and then use the dryer sheets. Can you do this all in one step? In other words, layer your first sandwich with card stock, dryer sheet, die and then run through all in one step?

OH WOW!!!!!!!!! I am soooo in love with this idea and your card – fell totally in love with this DSP – but not sure I want to cut it up…lol, but we have two of each piece so I can relax and use most of it! Was not sure about the Hello Honey ribbon, til I saw your card….this whole card is FABULOUS!!! Thank you for sharing your fab (as always) video…I will definitely be using this idea for many cards to come….THANK YOU DEB!!!!!!

Hi Julie, Thank you for viewing my blog. Yes you can definitely do that (put all the layers together) but I don’t want to put that much stress on my Big Shot or my framelits. They will wear out faster. So the two steps do not take that long and my tools will last longer, but yes you can do it all in one shot! Good question. If you have any other questions, please let me know. deb http://www.stampladee.stampinup.net for all your shopping needs.
