Hi ladies,
Well, on Thursday we got up and had a lovely breakfast and were off to Knab. Knab is where they make all our stamps. It's a trip I wouldn't miss for the world. Each year we go and see all the employees that work so hard. Here are a few pictures of my Thursday…
It's a two hour ride to Knab from St. George so we play all sorts of games. This one you had to guess how many buttons were in the coke bottle…BOY was I wrong, my answer was 512 and the total was well over 1,000! The winners got to keep the bottle of buttons!
We also played BINGO and I won TWO times! We got cool Stampin' Up! products for prizes.
When we arrived in Knab, we were treated like rock stars. All the workers lined the sidewalk and cheered as we passed through! How special!
I love this sign.
"Through these doors walk the very finest stamp manufacturers in the world Stampin' Up!"
And here is Alvey, he remembered ME! He came to Convention two years ago and he was the one that walked me across stage for my award! He remembered me!
Shelli has an apartment in the plant…it's GORGEOUS. I always get my picture with her in the apartment. She's so sweet.
Out in front of the plant is a big rock with the address written on it. It's a Kodak moment we just can't miss.
After leaving the plant, we always stop by the park that Shelli built. She adds to it every year. Here I am on one of the rocks. Do you see the stinken cute lunch bag? CUTE CUTE!
Here are a few of my friends I ate with. Do you recognize any of them?
And here are three of the rising stars. Do you recognize the one in the middle? That is our own Amy Jordan! Yippeee! This was her first Founder's Trip. What a huge accomplishment.
There was a big wind mill there. We were trying to act like farmers. Did it work?
On the way back to the hotel, Shelli always asks us about our business. This is where we tell her what we like and not like about all sorts of things. She is incredible. She listens to us and helps us to make the changes! What a lady!
Then for dinner, we went to an amazing place. It is called Anasazi.
Here was our salad – mmmmmm
They bring your meat out on a LAVA ROCK. The rock is REEEEEEALLY hot and the meat is uncooked. The rock is so hot, you cut off a piece and lay it on the rock. It cooks right in front of you. Oh my gosh…was that good and so much fun to play with your food! :0)
That was me cooking and eating.
I had to laugh…I had a hard time finding the ladies room…this is what they think the ladies room should look like. Yep…that looks like me…lumpy!
Here was one of the two tables we took up! Great friends and great food, what else could you ask for?
And here is our bed gift for Thursday.
And when you opened the cupcake…wah lah….it was the most beautiful Simply Adorned piece I've ever seen. What makes it even more special is that Shelli made them herself for us!
We topped off the night by visiting in Georgia's room. What fun! Late night and lots of fun!
Gotta run. Tune in tomorrow for more on my trip!
Good night!
