Today’s card share is using our Lighthouse Combo Card Kit! Lighthouses are amazing and good for so many occasions including good for a masculine card (those are so hard to come up with). Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…
Distress Oxide Ink A-L and/or Distress Oxide Ink M-Z
The Cross Stitch Nesting Squares add so much to this card. I love the texture that it gives along with the Thatched Embossing Folder. I think texture on a card is important. I just takes it to the next level. These two elements can be used on regular A2 cards as well as slimline and mini slimline cards.
Burnishing with Distressed Oxides is a great way to get background color on your masterpiece. Take a look at the OUTSIDE square on the piece below….
I used the Cross Stitch Nesting Squares to cut out the lighthouse. But I also used it to cut out the frame that is around the sentiment. Color your masterpiece on a bigger piece of paper, cut it out with the big frame then cut it again with a smaller frame. NOW you have a frame for your sentiment. If you look close, you can see that the lighthouse matches the sentiment frame EXACTLY . WOOO HOOO!!

Then the next thing I wanted to show you is how I stand my cards up to display and to photograph. This one is not from the refrigerator, it’s used by florists. It’s called a frog, I’m not sure why, it doesn’t look a thing like a frog but that’s what they call it. Click here to check it out.
