Hidy Ho Stampers,
First, have you gone to my business FB page and liked it? Head on over to "Deb's Stamping Studio" and like my page, I have some great stuff going in there, don't miss out! Make sure you are subscribed to this blog (www.stampladee.com) and also subscribe to my YouTube page. Now you won't miss a thing.
Boy today do I have a video for you! I started it on 1/29/12 and it only took my 8 months to finish this one. It's not my best but it's worth watching. I have some pictures to explain it also. Trust me the pictures and/or the video do not do this technique justice, you really need to see it in person. I love to watch it dry and crystalize, it's so magical. Let me know if you have questions. If you are seeing this post in your email box, you will need to go to my blog to view the video www.stampladee.com.
Here is what it looks like after you lay the solution onto your cardstock.
It's pretty wet at first and your paper will curl until it's dry and crystalized.
This is my favorite one. I stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Stazon Ink and the Snow Much Fun stamp set. Then I slathered the Epson Salt solution onto the cardstock and let it dry. Oh my gosh, I just love this one! after it was dry, I colored it in with my Stampin' Up! markers. SO STINKEN CUTE!
Look close. Can you see all the crystals? So adorable.
Now remember you can put the solution (equal parts of epsom salts and boiling water) on with either a paintbrush, fill your aqua painter or spray it on with our new spritzers. Here it's done with the aqua painter.
Here's it still drying
Added the Christmas Lodge and wah lah!
Like I said, the pictures do not do this justice. In person, this looks like a stormy night.
I hope you enjoyed my post. Thank you for stopping by, have a great day.
