Easter Floral Cross

March 5, 2024. Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you a GORGEOUS floral cross card. It’s not an ordinary cross, it’s layered. I just love the beauty of this cross. It can be used for so many occasions. I’m going to be using it for Easter and my grandson’s First Holy Communion. Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today….

NEW Glimmer Metallic Ink (Gold and Peweter) or
NEW Glimmer Metallic Ink (Rose Gold and White)
Colors I used:
Y02, Y11, RV11, R21, G21, G24, G82
The first thing I did was cut a piece of Watercolor Paper 4″ x 5 1/4″. Take out your Paw Pallet or Flower Palette and your 1″ Square Watercolor Brush. Fill your palette with water from your Silicone Dispenser. Pick up water on your brush and lay it on your watercolor paper. Next pick up your color of choice from the Watercolor Pan Set and lay that on on the water that was laid on the card stock. Set this aside to dry.
This card is absolutely amazing. I used the Floral Cross die set. All the ingredients for this cross including the flowers and stems are in this set. I cut the bottom layer and the outline layer with Gold Mirror Paper. I cut the next layer with a beautiful purple card stock. The top layer and all the flowers and stems were cut out of white card stock. Put your cross together using our Precision Glue Press. Set this aside until we start to put it all together.
I colored all the flowers and stems with Copic Markers. After they were colored, I randomly layered different flowers and colors together to help make the collage. Put them all together and set them aside. I did use the Precision Glue Press to put the flowers together. Now you have the background watercolored, you have the flowers/stems put together and the cross is all put together.
When your top layer is dry, stamp the sentiment from Inspirational Sentiments using the amazing STAMPWHEEL. Next put a few drops of your NEW Glimmer Metallic Ink (Gold and Peweter) ink into the Paw Pallet or Flower Palette. Roll your 6″ Round Watercolor Brush in it and tap it with your finger all over the watercolored layered. This is going to give you a GORGEOUS look. You could also use our NEW Glimmer Metallic Ink (Rose Gold and White). Both sets are really pretty.
Now let’s start assembling the card. First put the water colored layer onto your card base with White Crafty Foam Tape. Then I put the cross on next. IMPORTANT….use White Foam Strips to adhere this. Just one foam strip down the center and one foam strip across the cross. Add this to the card base. Start adding your flowers and stems using White Micro Foam Squares and White Regular Foam Squares as well as your Precision Glue Press. Mix and match the depths of the flowers and stems. It’s so pretty.
Floral Cross. You can use all three layers and the outline together like I did here or you can use as many or as few of the layers as you see fit for your card creation. It really is gorgeous!
