ate paste

ha ha ha…found this on the internet…don't you remember eating paste…you know that white stuff the art teacher used to scoop out with a ruler type thing!  That must be it, that's why I like to craft right?!

Anywaaaaaaaaaay….here's today card.  People are always asking me about Crystal Effects and what I use it for.  I included it in my Grab and Go Bags (they are still for sale) because it is one of Stampin' Up! adhesives.  I use bottles and bottles of it all the time.  So today here is one way to use it.  You may also remember my Stained Crystal Blog Post using Crystal Effects.

Calm Christmas 1

Calm Christmas meets Crystal Effects

Calm Christmas 2

Do you see the red berries?

hmmmmmmm

  Calm Christmas Crystal Effects 1

take crystal effects, mix some reinker (I used Cherry Cobbler) then ON TOP OF YOUR SILICONE MAT (the Silicone Mat is also included in your GRAB AND GO BAG) take a toothpick and drop some of the mixture in little balls (you may want to wait just a little bit until it dries just a little so you can make the balls easier).

Then let them dry, make sure you are using the Stampin' Up Silicone Mat so they come off easy!

Calm Christmas Crystal Effect 3

To adhere them to the card, again using Cyrstal Effects, dab a little on your card, pick up the dried drops from the Silicone Mat and lay them carefully on your card.

So what do  you think?  Everything on this card is done with Crumb Cake EXCEPT that little pop of color for the berrys.  Hope you like it.

Supplies:

Stamp Set:  Calm Christmas

Cardstock:  Crumb Cake

Ink:  Crumb Cake

Accessories:  Crystal Effects, Cherry Cobbler Ink Refill, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder #132174, Silicone Mat

Oh my Gosh Deb ~ you are sooo creative! Great idea to make berries out of Crystal Effects. I also love this product, but don’t use it as often as I should. Thanks for the “new” idea!
