Good morning ladies,
I couldn't post too many pictures of what I was making for my Diva Day because Kevin looks at my blog. The gift that we made in our meeting was one of the gifts I was giving Kevin for Valentine's Day. Here are more pictures.
I set it on his desk. The heart top and bottom was made with our new On Board Books on page 34 of the Occasions Mini Catalog. I learned how to make this at our latest Leadership Conference. I added three roses made from our new satin ribbon on page 27 of the Occasions Mini (remember, if you want a satan ribbon sampler, see below for details on getting yours). The three roses represent our three children. On his card, the two hearts represent he and I! ahhhhhhhh Here is a closer look at the roses…
I taught the girls how to do the roses and leaves all with our new ribbons. They LOVED them and were brainstorming on where else they could use them and how easy it was to teach!
I filled it with chocolates! mmmmmmm
And here is MY Valentine's Day card from Kevin. Most of my customers and my downline know that all my cards from Kevin are always handstamped. I never asked him to do it and this is the extent of his stamping but he does try and they are so cute. Here is my card for Valentine's day. I was trying to figure out when he got the time to do it. It must have been when I was at Continuing Education classes this past week. Notice he used ALMOST all current items. He even used our NEW Heart Treat Cups (how he ever found them, I will never know) and then he figured out which punch fit it. I never showed him how to stamp or use my stamping equipment but he's pretty good at figuring things out! His cards always make me smile, he totally understands how much stamping means to me so the thought that goes into it is priceless! What a guy!!!! ;o)
And what an awesome surprise…I got gifts yesterday from my Divas!!! They are so sweet! Thank you girls! I totally appreciate it but not necessary, this day was all about YOU!!
Everyone was working working working BUT you may see that the TV is on in the background…I would NEVER have done that but they said it was okay and they even encouraged it! You see there is a young man from our town (Ballston Spa, New York) that is IN the Olympics and was skating during the Diva Day! Trevor Marsicano. He skated the 5,000 meter yesterday. He came in first in his heat and 14th overall. He and my Katie went to grade school together. He is such a nice person! It was so exciting to see someone you know in the OLYMPICS!!!!! He is on the front page of the Albany Times Union today! It's so exciting…he will be skating again this week! We all wish him good luck! Here is what he looked like on TV!
He's the one in the blue and out in front! GO TREVOR!!!
I've been working on my Continuing Ed class projects, more Punch Book projects, my Demonstrator meeting projects, my Syracuse Regional presentation projects (I want to do a few different ones from the ones I did at Leadership) and my Syracuse Regional Jammie party favors (gifts for all those that attend)! Phew…been busy! I can't wait to share with you what they are but don't want to spoil the surprise. It's fun working with Missy Shipman (a fellow Penn Yan girl) on our Jammie get together! Take care and I'll bring you more tomorrow or maybe later today! Gotta make up for lost time! Okay, that's it for today.
