Hidy Ho Stampers,
I love Valentine's Day. It's so much fun…and it's really great if you are a card maker. My day started with Kevin's card. For all holidays, he makes me a card, yep I said he makes me a card for every holiday. I never know when he gets time to do it because I'm always in my stamp room – hmmmmmm…..Here is his Valentine's card for me, it's so cute.
It was sitting on the counter with my favorite coffee (decaf of course)! He used Crumb Cake for the base card. He took the Woodgrain background stamp and stamped the base card with Early Espresso. He added a punched red heart and free handed an Early Espresso arrow.
Now his explanation is the only thing better than the card itself. He told me it was a tree with our heart carved in it…awwwwww – but that was not all of the explanation. He proceeded to tell me that he really wanted to use my new Heart Framelit so it looked like it really was carved into the tree but he was afraid since he didn't know how to use it that he would flatten it out and that would really ruin Valentine's day! :0) Boy was he right! So I'm totally okay with him using the punch instead. Isn't that the cutest card?! I look forward to his hand made cards and he loves not having to drive to the mall to buy one! He also does a great job picking out just the right stamps.
Here's a closeup of the "carved heart"!
Here is our traditional dinner – Heart-shaped Meatloaf!
MMMMMMMMMM
and of course we have to have PINK mashed potatoes!
This year I added a drink that I found on Pinterest…pink lemonade, raspberry sherbet and Lemon-Lime Soda – OH MY GOSH!!!!!
I had to make a little heart for my daughter who was at school until late.
mmmmmmmmmm
And here is a picture that my son sent me. He made heart-shaped eggs for breakfast! aHHHHH the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!!
Like I said, I love this day…it's so much fun. Thanks for stopping by!

That is very sweet. Sounds like he needs a lesson on the big shot (at least with the framelits). I have two girls who would think that pink mashed potatoes were neat, but my two boys might object. Haha.
