I just love this new Book Die Set . The possibilities are endless with ideas running through my head. Do you know someone that just loves to read books? We have two other sets that complement this die – Book Nerd Stamp Set (I used that one on this card) and Book Worm Stamp Set (you’ll see me use this in the coming days).
I love to cut out all the pieces before I begin. There are so many really great embellishing elements that are included in this set. Again I say….STAY TUNED for more great ideas.
- Take the Magic Anti-Static Brush Combo (includes refill) or Powder Tool Applicator rub it over a piece of cream cardstock (this helps the embossing powder from sticking to places you don’t want it to stick).
- Stamp the sentiment you would like on the front of your book from the Book Nerd Stamp Set using the WOW Ink Combo.
- Sprinkle on the Gold Embossing Powder. Tap off the excess powder and return it to the jar. Your piece should like the picture above (we didn’t heat it yet).
- Hold the cardstock with your Paper Paws so you don’t burn your fingers. Don’t have a Paper Paws???? WHAAAAAAT. Click to get yours now. I use the Paper Paws for so many things. It’s makes your work easier!.
- Now heat the powder from UNDERNEATH the cardstock to get a more even heat using the Heat Tool.
This is what it looks like after it has been heated. SOOOOOOO gorgeous. Do you like to heat emboss????
I LOVE IT!
Take the front cover and the little embellishment for the spine of the book and cut them out.
I used the largest and next largest dies from the Extreme Postage Die Set and cut them out of the Gladiola Plaid 6 x 6 Paper Pack. I added the largest to the vanilla card base using the EZ Grand Tape Dispenser. I flipped the smaller cutout (this is double-sided card stock) and popped that onto the larger die cut using Thin White Foam Squares.

Glue your book pieces together using Precision Glue Press and Deluxe Adhesive. The tools that I used to put this together were the Stampendable and the Jewel Picker. As you adhere one of the pieces, rub it with the Stampendable to make it lay flat. Pick up your pieces using the Jewel Picker. These two tools will definitely make your assembly easier.
Attach the book to your card using the Regular White Foam Squares.
I made a few of these using different paper packs.
The one on the right is from the Our Wedding 6 x 6 Paper Pack.
Add your card to one of our A2 White or A2 Cream Envelopes and mail it off to your dear friend.
