Curvy Heart Side Strips

February 3, 2024. How did you celebrate Ground Hog’s Day! I love that little rodent who tries so hard to be a meteorologist! Okay let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…
Curvy Heart Side Strips and Stencil
Colors I used: Tattered Rose and Hickory Smoke
I love the look of this. The softness of the Distress Oxide Ink on the hearts and background applied with our Blending Brush . It’s so pretty. How did I get this look?
Using the StampWheel with the Low Tack Sticky Mat I added my card layer that has the Curvy Heart Side Strip cut out. You can cut out the hearts anywhere on your layer (left side/right side/or in the middle). I love how the Sticky Mat holds both the card layer and the stencil. It’s so amazing. Burnish with the Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink and a Blending Brush.
Now on your card base, use your stencil and lightly trace the borders of the stencil.

Add Sitcky Note Tape Roll to mask the upper and lower 1/4″ so your burnishing will stop at the line of the layer.
Now burnish….I know it doesn’t look pretty but just WAIT…..
OMGeeeee….
I added a few Pastel Fairy Jewels.
To put these two layers together I used our White Crafty Foam Tape for the outsides and Regular White Foam Squares under the hearts. This gives it a very sturdy base with no sagging. There’s nothing worse than a “saggy” card. :0)
To finish off this one I added the Love Flourish. You could make this card for any occasion – Birthday, Anniversary, Valentine’s Day….just change out the sentiment. You could also stamp the sentiment. Oh my goodness…endless possibilities!!! Remember to pick up a pack of our White A2 Envelopes and/or our Cream A2 Envelopes to mail out your card….they are the best!

Here’s an even faster and easier way to put the background on. You could use sparkle paper or designer paper or just a different color card stock. It’s gorgeous!

I used the Curvy Heart Side Strips and Stencil again but I only used the cutout, I didn’t use the stencil on this one. Look at that gorgeous Princess Pink Sparkle Paper. If you aren’t sure which color sparkle paper you’d like best or want to try out different colors, why not pick up a package of our Variety Pack of Sparkle Paper.
For this card I used the Hugs Debut Script Die but I didn’t use the “shadow” part. I only used the upper part. I love the look and love how versatile these dies are. We have a whole bunch of new ones in the shop, they just came in.
Add a few of our self-adhesive Mini Pearls and you’ve got an adorable card.
I know it’s almost Valentine’s Day and while these cards that I’ve been showing you for the last few days can definitely be used for Valentine’s Day, you can also use them for every other occasion! How about a birthday or anniversary? Or how about a thinking of you? Definitely can be used for Just a Note! What do you think?
