A Cardinal Christmas

October 13, 2023. Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you a beautiful card we created at our Stamping Event in September – it’s a Cardinal Christmas. Colors I used: Y02, Y35, R27, R59, BG78, C3, C5, 110 and 0
Distress Oxide Inks – colors I used Tumbled Glass and Broken China
The Believe Edger Die and Believe Builder stamp set is another in our series of Word Edger Dies. This one is just as beautiful as the rest. It can be used as I did here (it opens) or it can be used glued directly to the paper. It can be big or it can be very small. I love the diversity of these dies. Here I cut the base out of Marshmallow Fluff card stock and the upper “believe” out of our Silver Mirror Paper.
I stamped the Cardinal Pair stamp using our StampWheel with our Black Hybrid Ink Pad. Now it’s time to color with our Copic Markers. Make sure you watch the video to show you just how easy it is to color these beauties. Don’t forget to use the Black Micron Pen for the hairs on the top of their heads :0)! I also colored the Christmas bulbs with Copic Markers. I finished up the bulbs with our Glitter Gel Pens and some Crystal Glaze.
Ink up the Music Background with our Distress Oxide Inks using our Blending Brushes and the StampWheel. Watch the video to show you what to use first and how to avoid the places you don’t want them. There is an eraser…did you catch it in the video? Now we are going to make that FUN snow using our Soft Bristled Toothbrush. Fill your Paw Palette or Flower Palette using our Palette Knife with Luma Bleed-Proof White. You only need a dollop (check out the video to see the amount). If you need to add a little water use your Silicone Dispenser (DO NOT add too much or it will be a “wash” type ink and we don’t want that. We want it a little thick.) If you get the Luma where you don’t want it, use your #4 Watercolor Brush and a little water as an eraser for this.

Did you notice that some of the edgers have a large base, some are cut on a diagonal and some are very small. You can do what fits the need of your card. Some have pictures on the bottom, some have larger stamped images on the top. Adjust the height of your edger. SOOOOOOO many options!
