Happy Edger And Carnival Canopy

June 15, 2023. Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you another in our series of NEW Edger dies. This one is as gorgeous as the others. They are so much fun to create. I paired it with the NEW Carnival Canopy Embossing Folder in honor of our “Under the Big Top” event coming up (CLICK HERE to register for the event). WOW!!!!! Let’s take a look at what I have for you today …
Carnival Canopy 3D Embossing Folder
Colors I used:
Squeezed Lemon, Saltwater Taffy, Tumbled Glass
Leaf top – Shabby Shutters
Colors I used:
Sentiment – Black
Flower – Bubblegum, Blush, Rose, Peony
Flower Center – Banana, Canary
Leaves – I cut the leaf out of green card stock then stamped over with Olive Ink
Let’s take a look at the way I did the background. I used the NEW Carnival Canopy 3D Embossing Folder, Distress Oxide Ink and Blending Brushes.
Cut and emboss two layers. One you will use for the actual layer and one you will cut and use as a mask.
Lay the mask over the “un-raised” image and using your Distress Oxide Ink and Blending Brushes carefully blend your first color in. Move it two spaces and do the same thing.
Continue doing this all the way around. If you are using 3 colors you will want to move the mask 2 spaces.
Do this with all three colors.
It’s so pretty.
Using the same colors, splash some color onto a scrap piece of card stock and cut out the Happy Edger.
It now coordinates PERFECTLY with your background.
Take a piece of white card stock that is cut 2 1/2″ x 4″. Lay the “under layer” for the Happy Edger die and cut it out putting the die close to the top at a slight angle. Adhere the word “happy” to it with our Deluxe Adhesive.
Before you adhere this happy layer to your card base, use your STAMPWHEEL and stamp your sentiment from the Happy Builder Stamp Set.
Using the Apple Blossoms Combo and our Hybrid Ink stamp the multi-layer flower and leaves.
Adhere the Carnival Canopy and the Happy Edger layers with our 3D White Foam Tape. Adhere the Apple Blossom with our Regular White Foam Squares.
