Backyard Wren on a Magnolia Branch
Hidy Ho Stampers,
June 5th, 2023. Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you a beautiful layered bird on a Magnolia branch. It’s another new set of dies in the shop this week. We have SOOOOOOO many new items in the shop. Go take a look at some of these goodies and we added even MORE to our SALE Bin! Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…
StampWheel Center Alignment Guides
StampWheel Replacement Sticky Mat: Grid
Distress Oxide Ink – I used Broken China
Everyday Sentiments Strips and Sentiment Strips Fancy Die Combo
Colors I used –
Bird – E11, E25, E79, 110, N1, N3, N6, YR0000, YR00, YR04, YR12
Branch – E29, E37
Leaves – YG17, YG67
WOW Super Fine Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder
Let’s start with your card base. Lay your card base onto the STAMPWHEEL (it sticks because it’s such an awesome new tool). Next layer the Puffy Clouds Stencil (this too will stick to the mat). Burnish the clouds using the Broken China Distress Oxide Ink and our Blending Brush.
Next you’ll take two layers of card stock and cut two different sizes of the Arches Infinity Dies. I just LOVE this die set and it is perfect for this card. Take the smaller layer first, put your White Crafty Foam Tape on the back and adhere this to your card base. Do the same to the larger arch.
The Magnolia Leaf Branch is new in the shop and GORGEOUS!!! I cut it out of white and colored with my Copic Markers (the colors I used are listed above). You could certainly use colored paper and not have to color a thing (but you KNOW how much I love to color ha ha ha)! There is so much detail in these new dies! Attach this branch by putting White Micro Foam Squares on the back of the leaves and a little Deluxe Adhesive on the top and bottom of the branch.
Next is our Backyard Wren. He too can be cut from colored card stock but I cut him from white and colored him using the colors listed above. It’s really fast.
The sentiment is soooo cool. It’s part of our NEW Everyday Sentiments Strips and Sentiment Strips Fancy Die Combo.
The new Everyday Sentiments Strips and Sentiment Strips Fancy Die Combo has 42 different sentiments for most any holiday. It’s all wrapped into one stamp. HOW COOL IS THAT?! Well it gets better. This is a combo and has a die that coordinates with the stamp and makes your life so much easier! Start off by using the Magic Anti-Static Brush and cover a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Vellum with the powder. Put your Vellum into your STAMPWHEEL. Attach your stamp to the STAMPWHEEL and ink it up with our WOW Ink. Add the WOW Super Fine Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder and heat with the Heat Tool.
So pretty.
Lay the die over the top of the sentiments (they align perfectly) and cut out!
Look at all this gold!!!! I adhered it to the card with Deluxe Adhesive.
Add a few Silver Jewels to give it that elegant touch and you are done!
SOOOOOOO pretty!
