Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you one of our simply simple elegant cards using the “Sunken Image Technique”. The sentiment can be changed for any occasion. Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today…

Let’s watercolor our flower…
Pastel Highlights Watercolor Pencils

Magic Anti-Static Brush Tool Combo
Black Fine Detail Embossing Powder
First you are going to get out your Watercolor Paper (4″ x 5 1/4″) and dust it with our Magic Anti-Static Brush Tool. Take the Wow Ink and stamp the Magnolia from the Magnolia Best Wishes Stamp Set. Add your Black Fine Detail Embossing Powder (using the finest powder will allow you to keep the detail in your stamps)! Heat it with our Heat Tool.
Now you are ready to watercolor. This is so easy using our Pastel Highlights Watercolor Pencils and Hair & Skin Tones Watercolor Pencils. Add the color with the pencils. Make sure you add some gray on the outside of the flower to give it a shadow. Now soften the pencils with your Silicone Dispenser, Paw Palette or Flower Palette, #1 Watercolor Brush and your #4 Watercolor Brush. Move the color around just a little to soften it. So pretty. I put a little Wink of Stella in the middle of the flower.
The next step is the “twist” to this card. You are going to take one of your nesting dies (I’m using the Stitched Nesting Hearts) and cut a heart out. Place it anywhere on your watercolor piece. Now put Craft Foam Tape under the watercolor paper layer and add to your card base. Using the EZ Runner Grand add some tape to the heart you cut out and lay the heart right back into the top layer where you cut it out. The top layer is raised and the heart is flush with the card base. It looks so pretty.
INTRODUCING ONE OF OUR BRAND NEW DUO’S….Just a Note Duo Die.
Now you’re going to cut three of the “Just a Note” part of the sentiment (remember this is a duo – we’ll use the other part for the inside of the card). I cut one from the Black Holographic Card Stock and two from white card stock. Adhere them together with our Deluxe Adhesive then add to the front card layer. The front of your card is done.
Cut the second part of the “duo sentiment” to the inside of the card. I didn’t cut three for the inside, just one and adhered it with our Deluxe Adhesive to finish off the card.
So pretty!
