Transform your Leaves Die

October 6, 2022. I know I say this all the time but I think this IS my favorite card ever! It is so much prettier in person. I took the leaves from our brand new leaves die and cut out a whole bunch of them in different colors. I needed a card for my friend that is struggling right now and made this card for her. It’s a very fast card but so beautiful. Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today….
3D Foam Circle Frames – White and/or Black
Thin Foam Squares – White and/or Black
Detailed Black Embossing Powder
Our brand new Pearl White Cardstock is gorgeous. We also carry Pearl Rose Cardstock. I also wanted to point out the Cross Stitch Nesting Circles and show you how I cut this kaleidoscope card. The circles are graduated down. I used the circle on the last one for the middle of the card. I put these together with our new 3D Foam Circle Frames – White and/or Black.
Let’s talk about the embossing. I used our Anti-Static Brush Tool Combo first. This puts a thin film of powder on your Vellum Cardstock. Then use your WOW Ink Combo to ink up your stamp from the awesome Smiles Sentiment stamp set. The Smiles Sentiment stamp set is one you will want to take a look at. It’s a heartwarming set to add to your stash. Now pour our Detailed Black Embossing Powder over the stamped image. You really should have detailed embossing powder for your sentiments. It doesn’t get “gloppy”. Then heat with my FAVORITE Heat Tool.
When I’m getting out a die like the Leaves Die, I get out some of my scraps and run them through the die of the day. I then put them in an envelope and pull them out to make a project. A lot of the times the project is dictated by the color of the die pieces I have. These are all set for future projects.
I just LOVE the way all the textures came together in this card!
