Crochet Snowflake Holiday Card
Hidy Ho Stampers,
August 27, 2022. Today Teaspoon of Fun is bringing you a beautiful new combo of kaleidoscope dies that you can use together or separately. They are so pretty. It is easy and so elegant! Let’s take a look at what I picked for you today….
Handwritten Merry Christmas and Outline
Holographic Cardstock Variety Pack
Triangle Embellishment Sorting Tray
The brand new Crochet Snowflake in the shop is another of our Kaleidoscope combos. We love them because you can use them all together or in any combination. You can even use them individually. So many possibilities. This one I paired with our Let It Snow die. I layered the sentiment three times for more dimension. Let’s take a look at how I did the layering for this card here…
I like cutting out three sets of snowflakes at a time so you are making three different cards.
Here I used the silver from the Holographic Cardstock Variety Pack.
After you cut out the first layer, adhere it to your card base using your Deluxe Adhesive. I also used my Stampendable to give it even pressure when gluing down.
This layer I cut out with the Layer B die (this will be one of the three card bases).
I will use my Tonic Tweezers to get the snowflake out.
Here the silver and the navy cards are cut out with Layer C and adhered to the card base with our Deluxe Adhesive. This is the largest of the three dies and has a special design surrounding the snowflake (remember we are working on three cards at once – see above for the other card base).
I will take the snowflake from these two cards and switch them out.
I’m working on the blue card first. The silver holographic snowflake is placed on the navy card.
Layer B is cut from a lighter blue and layered onto the silver holographic snowflake.
For the silver holographic snowflake card pictured above, I didn’t cut out Layer C (so there is no extra design between the snowflake).
For the navy card I did use Layer C and got the extra design.
This is what it looked like when it was complete.
The card base is white, then Silver Holographic Cardstock from the Variety Pack. The next layer is a lighter blue then I finished it off with our Silver Screen Sparkle Paper. I embellished the center of this card with our brand new Crystals Mix Essentials using our Deluxe Adhesive to adhere them on the card. To finish it off I added some of our Silver Fairy Jewels around the outside of the snowflake to look like falling snow.
This trio is a must.
Crystals Mix Essentials box contains 12 inner containers, each filled with different colored clear crystals. They add a perfect glitzy accent to your paper crafting projects. Each small container includes 3 teaspoons full of diamond shaped clear crystals. Don’t forget to grab a Jewel Picker or Tonic Tweezers and Triangle Embellishment Sorting Tray to make embellishing your projects even easier!
I finished off this card with the Let It Snow sentiment.
For this card I used the snowflakes from all three layers (C, B and A). Then I added the Handwritten Merry Christmas and Outline to finish it off. This die does have a background for it but I chose not to use it on this card. You may also want to pickup one of our Retractable Craft Picks to help get those pesky cutouts out, an EZ Grand Runner to adhere the card layers and a Mini Ladybug Desktop Vacuum to also help with those pesky cutouts.
The blue card is an “inlaid” card where the snowflake is recessed.
The silver card snowflake is resting on TOP of the layer.
Both cards are so beautiful!

The layered snowflake is lovely but wow a bit pricey!
By the way, do you have directions or a template to make a box that holds 8 1/2 x 3 1/2” slimline cards. I can’t find anything on Pinterest.
Please let me know. Love your website Deb! Joandirmyer@yahoo.com
