Today was a fabtabulous day. First it was just GORGEOUS…sunny and it was a crisp fall day. Today was our annual Making Strides Breast Cancer walk in Washington Park in Albany New York. My family and I have done this for the past couple of years but it was super special this year. I walked as a survivor and I walked for all my friends that are battling this horrible disease right now. It still overwhelms me to go. The tears are good tears. I see gals with no hair walking, I see husbands and sisters and friends and…well you get the picture…people that just want to make a difference. I love to see all the people dressed up. I love to listen to the stories, the reason they are walking. There were a group of kids that were there walking for thier swimming and diving coach. There were work groups and family groups and school groups. There were cheerleaders along the sideline cheering the walkers on. It is amazing. Anyway, here are some pictures I'd like to share.
In my stamp room, I have a poem that my very good friend stamped for me when I was going through cancer treatments. I have it up all the time and read it often. She too is a cancer survivor…thank you Lauren.

Here is my fabtabulous family (I only wish Megan and Josh could be here too)
and here we are walking…it was a sea of people.
Look at all the people. The day was spectacular.
I just love reading all the shirts.
aren't they stinken cute.
even the puppy was dressed in pink! He was so cute.
Fire Fighters wore these shirts.
And here is University of Albany Football Team. Vincent Gonzales (right behind me) is our neighbor. They all had their pink hats on!
and here is my friend Kathy
Look at these guys, they were so cute with their pink gloves and hats! They are there every year.
and we saw and listened to the bagpipers.
I was looking for all the shirts like mine. Two years ago, my friend Kathy made them for our stamping group. They say "Stamp Out Breast Cancer" and have a stamp on them. If you are interested in purchasing one, contact me, we still have a few left.
Just a beautiful day!
