Happy May Day with Deb Valder

Hidy Ho Stampers,

Friday, May 1st, 2020 … Happy May Day!!! More about that below but for now, I’m starting to showcase some Mother’s Day cards.  Today’s card I’ve been saving – I wanted to showcase it on May 1st!  I just LOVE this layering stamp!!!  Fast and gorgeous!!!

Happy May Day with Hearts & Roses stamp set

Hearts and Roses

With a couple of stamp pads you can layer these for the most detailed images I’ve ever seen.  We have several sets in the shop and more are coming.  What do you think?  Isn’t it gorgeous?!?!?!

For my last layer (there are 4 layers to this card) I used Navy Blue.

I think it REEEEEALLY made it pop instead of using another red and I’m very happy with it!

In this set there are 12 word sentiments alone.  There are 3 different style roses plus hearts and leaves and it’s all so cool!

Another rose in the set. This set is just loaded with stamps!

I love using my Mini Misti to layer it’s so much easier.

I hope you decide to give these stamps a try!  They are amazing.  We have several sets in the shop.  All products are listed below in the menu or you can go directly to the shoppe at www.teaspoonoffun.com/shop.

Okay back to May Day…  Do you know what May Day is?  When you were little in gym class, did you do the May Pole?  We did, it was in elementary school.

May Day is a public holiday usually celebrated on May 1st  or the first Monday of May. It is an ancient festival of Spring and a current traditional spring holiday in many European cultures. Dances, singing, and cake are usually part of the festivities.  If it involves cake, I’m there!  :0)

Traditional May Pole celebrating May Day!

A maypole is a tall wooden pole erected as a part of various European folk festivals, around which a maypole dance often takes place.  We had so much fun in gym class!  It’s a great memory!  Happy May day crafters!

So what did you think?  Hang in there my friends.  If we are patient now, it will help us going forward!  We love you all!

We appreciate all of you for taking time out of your busy day to spend a little of it with us.  If you have any questions, please let us know!  In the meantime, take a few minutes and send someone you love a hand-stamped card with a little note in it.  I KNOW they will love it!
