Working with Gesso as a Coloring Medium with Deb Valder

29 Apr

Hidy Ho Stampers,

Before I begin with today’s card presentation, I wanted to remind you that April 30th 2017 will be the LAST day you can order these products at 35% OFF!!!!!  What a great deal.  I just love to stock up on products when they are on sale!  CLICK HERE to view the list and then hop on over to my website (online store) to purchase these products.

Today’s card is all about Mixed Media – specifically Journey Gesso.  I used it to color!  Gesso is very similar to white acrylic paint, only thinner. It dries hard, making the surface more stiff.  It prepares (or “primes”) the surface for painting, making the surface slightly textured and ready to accept acrylic paint. Without gesso, paint will soak into the weave of the canvas.  BUT….I decided to use a little MORE water with it and use it as a WHITE WASH!!!  SUPER COOL!!!

I just love the way this came out!

Just so elegant and pretty!

Here is the video…make sure you let me know if you have any questions.  I’m here to help.  CLICK HERE if you are watching this from your email.

Such a fun technique! and another way to use one of our already amazing products!

I hope you enjoyed my post.  Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to spend a little of it with me!  I appreciate you so much!
