Let’s Get Punchy….
Hi stampers,
Every month I do a Punch Class. I did a make-up day on Monday where the stampers could come and make up any or all of the classes they missed. I stayed in my stamp room from 10:00 to 3:00 then 7:00-10:00 for anyone that wanted to come. Look at my books, I'm up to five books of punch art! It's so much fun…then we incorporate them into scrapbook pages, cards or other paper crafts. My monthly class will be this Thursday.
I put the numbers on the spine of the book by taking my Big Shot and Simple Numbers die. I used the reverse piece and taped it to the 6 x 6 scrapbook and sponged Early Espresso Ink onto it. I think they came out awesome. AND NOW I'M ORGANIZED!!!!
My makeup class is a little different than my normal monthly class. I put out a lot of scraps so they could choose their colors. It's lots of fun!! If you'd like to participate, contact me.
Look!! Even the Stampin' Up! boxes love to participate in Sale-a-Bration…
Too stinken cute!!! These boxes are arriving on my doorstep on a daily basis…I'm waiting for the UPS man to say something to me about how cute these are!!!
And I finally got to make one of these on my own. I had one of my downline (Beth Roberts) demonstrate this at my downline get together last Sunday. I needed a gift card holder and this worked PERFECTLY!!!!
It's so stinken cute!!!!
Enjoy every moment of every day!!!
New Punch Mania
Hi stampers,
Have you fallen in love with our new punches? I have. I can't get enough of them. LOVE LOVE THEM!!!!
Did you know that if you….
And how do you use this new punch???
1. Punch the entire punch in one color and you have all different sized petals/leaves.
2. If you want just leaves, cut a strip of paper and start from the RIGHT and punch each one to the left.
3. If you are punching the flower, start on the LEFT and punch to the right.
You can do #2 and #3 with plain cardstock or you can pre-stamp then punch. It works great.
You can order these from my on-line store 24/7…. http://stampladee.stampinup.net and click on SHOP NOW.
The Academy Awards of Demo Get Togethers
Hi Stampers,
Today was another wonderful Demonstrator Get Together and what a great way to start this get together….I was greeted when I first got there by one of the gals and she gave me a gift…She made this!!
It's a mug wrap that she covered with our material. Isn't this so cute.
Besides all the great chocolate in there, there was something that was totally awesome. It's McGillycuddy's Natural Honey & Cream Milk Soap. This is so special to me! Thank you Ruth!
Okay today was OSCAR Day. Our meeting used to fall on the day of the Oscars so we always incorporated that into our theme. Since we had to change the Sunday that our meetings fell on, I still kept this theme (just not on the day). Okay so here is the "Red Carpet"….
and here are our table decorations!!!
Last Month, I gave the demonstrators a challenge. They received TWO pink pieces from the New Petal Cone die. They were to decorate it as they wanted. We would then vote on the one we loved the best. We had 8 entries.
I don't know if you can see this but she died the ribbon with our folder. That IS ribbon.
This one was turned into a box. How clever!
Look at all the detail on this one. She used the LetterPress die, punches galore, look how she braided the handle and the trinkets on the heart! OMG! Simply Spectacular!
Lots of adorable things on this one!!! I love stuff.
I'm not sure if you can see it in the picture but this gal actually sewed hers. There is some adorable stitching on this.
This one to me is very romantic! Nice job.
Stamping and ribbon, and tinkets and just BEAUTIFUL!
And now for the winner…like I said, everyone voted on their favorite. I don't know who did any of them, it's all anonymous except the winner, as she gets the $25 Gift Certificate for her winning entry…so the winner is……
Isn't this adorable???!!!! She took the pink holder and added to it to make this ADORABLE VASE!! She also used the new Blossom Petals punch and Build a Blossom stamp set (found on page 12 of the Occasions Mini Catalog) to make the flowers and leaves. It's was just so stinken cute! CONGRATULATIONS JAMIE!!!!
Oh and then the food!! We had two tables full of food! mmmmm There is always good treats – and ALL healthy of course
!
Here is one of my favorites…I'm not sure what is in it but I figured out there was cream cheese and chocolate chips…the originator of this dish was Barb Stomeroski…she didn't make it this month but she did share the receipe and someone else recreated it, we CASE stamping projects … why not CASE food too…mmmmmmm
Then let the make and takes begin…..
Here they are at the Big Shot station…hi Beth, Crhis and Linda!
And here we have one of the make and takes I did…I had the girls make two of the same card…they got to keep one and they gave one back to me. My church has a Prayer Shawl that they give to people who request them…I will donate these cards to the church to put in the bags for the recipient…They came out great. We will be donating 45 of them.
Here is the box we did. The directions for this are on my New York Inketts Website for demonstrators.
This was a card that was inspired by BJ Peters. She gave me this card at Leadership. Isn't it so cute. I had to do a triple decker one (vanilla, chocolate and strawberry)! The top scoop pulls out to display your message on the inside!
Look how adorable this one is. We used a lot of the Sale-a-Bration embellishments. I can't wait for SPRING!!!!
We used the Blossom Petals punch and Build a Blossom stamp set (found on page 12 of the Occasions Mini Catalog) for this card.
And we used that same stamp and punch for this card but we used different pieces.
We also did a swap and came home with 23 MORE cards (if you love to stamp, join us, we go home with so much stuff). Phew, what a great day! If you'd like to be part of this fantastic team, contact me, I'd love to have you join us once a month at these get togethers. Take care and I hope you stop by tomorrow.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Love is in the air…
Hi Stampers…
Okay so I can't stop singing – Love is in the air, dah dah dah dah dah….!!!
I just love this time of the year – Valentine's Day is coming!!! Here are a few more Valentine's Day cards…
Don't you just love this stamp set, I do. It can be found in the Occasions Mini. This was one of the cards we made at my January Demonstrator's Get Together. The idea was created by Deanna Whitney. Just beautiful.
And here is a card made by Kathi Jenkins from Alabama. I received it at my Leadership Swap. I love looking through my swaps. They are all so beautiful and so different. It's amazing to see all the great ideas that people come up with and how different they all are.
Thank you for stopping by tonight.
Sharpening Tid Bit…
Hi stampers,
For most of you that work with me and my stamping business, you've heard this before. JUST IN CASE you haven't heard me say it…here is a great tip for sharpening your scissors and punches.
|
Q&A Q: Is there anything special that I need to do to take care of my punches and scissors? A: That’s a great question. Because Stampin’ Up! focuses on providing quality products, your tools – like punches and scissors – are things that you’ll have and use for a long time to come. A little bit of care can help you get the best use and longevity from them. Punches I also use a VERY fine grade sandpaper, that too helps with the functionality of your punch. • Use the Paper Snips (#103579) for detailed paper cutting. Here are few tips to keep your scissors in tiptop condition. If any of the scissors get gummed up or dirty, clean them with dish soap and dry thoroughly. With a little care, your punches and scissors will be around to help you create projects of all types for a long time! If you have more questions about caring for other Stampin’ Up! products, stamps, or tools, please let me know. One of the many benefits of having a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator (that would be ME! :0) is that I have access to lots of great resources, training, and knowledge that so that I can help you and provide you with great service! I'm here for ya!!!
This is a card used with our new Blossoms Petals Punch and the matching Build a Blossom stamp set. It was a card I received in a swap when I was at leadership. It was made by the very talented Sherri Robinson. It's a tent card. This is the card open. Just beautiful. I love my punches. They make cardmaking and scrapbooking so much faster and easier to create.
Hope you liked my post. Have an enjoyable day.

The Craft & Rubber scissors can get really gummed up when you use them to trim rubber stamps, so keep them clean with rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. If you’re cutting wire with the Craft & Rubber Scissors, cut the wire at the back of the blade, near the hinge, for greater leverage and to keep the tips of the blade sharper. If, over time, you find your scissors have become a bit dull, you can cut through tin foil to sharpen them. If your scissors need more sharpening, they can usually be sharpened professionally because they are high quality. Some fabric or kitchen stores have knife/scissor sharpening services or they can recommend a reputable company.
