Elements of Style
Hi girls,
I wanted to share a card I received at convention as one of my swaps. I just love this stamp set (The Element s of Style stamp set #120045 clear mount and 118611 wood mount). This card is made with that set.
The colors used are Old Olive, So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink and stamped with Black Stazon. The punches are the wide oval, the large oval and the scallop oval! Such a pretty card. I love to swap cards with demonstrators. You get such a variety of styles and colors. So much fun and I get to share them all with you.
Okay, today I've been working on my cards for my Founders Swap, are you ready to see my pile of what I've been working on? I got all the base cards cut and the first layer as well as one of the embellishments…okay here it is (remember I can't show you what the finished card looks like yet because someone may see it, just know that all the club memebers that have seen it so far just loved it! :0)
Can you guess the theme? okay okay, it doesn't look like much but those are the beginnings of 135 cards! WOW!
Anyway, thank you for stopping by and check back for updates! Have a great night.
More Convention Prep
Good evening ladies,
Still busy getting ready for convention. Finished another huge swap today. Here is what it looked like when I started.
I did several prototypes and here is one of them. They came out so cute…little birthday cakes that light up!
and here is one of the batches ready to be bagged!
They came out so good you could just eat them!
Okay, need to go to bed so I can get up and finish packing, buy some groceries for my family and do a few errands tomorrow! THEN, I leave on Tuesday!!! YIPPPEEE, I can't wait. Remember to check every day to see what is happening!
Thank you for stopping by my blog. Have a great night.
From the Stamping Share Table
Hi ladies,
At my stamping get togethers each month, the demos that come like to bring things that they've been doing to share with us. We have a table dedicated to these items. It is amazing. I like to take pictures of all the things they share. Here is a card that is just YUMMY!
Isn't this cute, cute, cute, cute!
It was done with the Sweet Scoops stamp set (#117078 wood mount or 120078 clear mount). This stamp set is NOT in the new catalog. If you'd like it, get it now. You can email me or shop on line any time, just go to http://stampladee.stampinup.net to order your set today! This is just too cute.
Hope you liked my post today, thank you for stopping by.
Deb’s Diva Day
Hi stampers,
I hope you all got a chance to watch my second video on the coconut card. So much fun.
Today was my Diva Day. That is a day I set aside each quarter for the girls in my downline that have earned it. In order to earn this incentive, you must be in the top 10 for sales for the quarter. Each month I post in my downline newsletter who the top ten are for that month. Then at the end of the quarter, I post who earned it for the quarter. They are invited to my studio and I shower them with make and takes and Stampin' Up! goodies to take home. This month I featured the new Distressing Essentials Kit #118762.
Distressing Essentials Kit #118762
I focused the whole afternoon on very vintage cards. Here is my favorite card of the day.
Here's a close-up of the flower.
Stamp Set: Afterthoughts #118388 Wood Mount or 120121 Clear Mount – Level I hostess set
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and Newsprint DSP #117166
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Distressing Essentials #118762, Wide Oval Punch #119859, 1 3/4" Circle Punch #119850, 2 3/8" scallop Circle Punch, #118874, Antique Brads #117273, Basic Black 5/8" Stain Ribbon #117285
There is a lot of new product on this card. That was only one of 6 cards that we did today. They now have a great class they can take to their customers. The girls enjoyed themselves but what warmed my heart were the stories they told when they first got there. One said she sent her husband on to Maine that morning with friends and she would meet him there (she was not going to miss Diva Day); and one was going to meet her family up to the Great Escape after she finished Diva Day; another had a family picnic she was going to join after Diva Day; another drove 1 1/2 hours with a shoulder that was just operated on just so she could attend my Diva Day. I am so glad I started these days. I enjoy them as much as the girls enjoy coming. They work hard to earn that position and they deserve the day of pampering. THANK YOU NEW YORK INKETTS (that's the name of my stamping group)!!!!
If you are a person that used to be a demonstrator and would like to jump back on board, Stampin' Up! has a SUPER special going on right now. You can RE-join for only $35. Contact me and I will get you the paperwork ASAP, hurry, this special is only good for a little while longer!
I hope you enjoyed my post and I'll see you tomorrow. I have my Direct Downline meeting tomorrow! Phew, busy weekend but I'm trying to get everything in before I leave for convention! Take care and I hope to hear from you soon.
Oh wait, I have to share one more picture with you. After Diva Day, we took Katie to Sherrie Lynn's Gluten Free Restaurant in Latham then all three of us went to see the new movie "Despicable Me", it was a 3D movie…here's the picture Katie took of Kevin and I :0) Too much fun!…I laughed so hard! It was all good.
Those are my 3D glasses!

Golden Nugget for Free Product…
Hi girls,
Okay so I'm the last demonstrator in the WORLD to update her blog. Well I've been busy…getting things ready for you! I can't wait to show you what I've been working on. But that will be in just a minute.
My Annual Stamp and Accessory Sale went so fab-tab-ulous. I was with wonderful friends all day and we laughed and visted and they went home with some great bargains. Now my shelves are clear for my first order to hit the front porch (I will be making my UPS man a card with some cookies)! He just loves me!!! And for those of you that attended, the winner of the GOLDEN NUGGET was….
Pat!
YIPPEEEE….she was the one that won the golden nugget. All friends that attended the 10th Annual Open House received a beautifully decorated box with product inside plus a hug and a kiss from me (a HERSEY Hug and Kiss that is); then ONE lucky friend received the box with the GOLDEN NUGGET just like in Willie Wonka!
This is the Bitty Box and Envelope Die (#115967) from the 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog with the scallop punch flowers for the top. I made 50 of them and they were all gone by the end of the day!
Pat is seen here holding the nugget and the box. When she comes to club, she will see what she has won! So stay tuned.
Next I wanted to share with you Katie's 21st Birthday (my baby). We celebrated by going to the Saratoga Gaming and Raceway (voted the most beautiful quarter mile track in the US). It was so much fun and she had NOOOOOOO idea it was happening (I LOVE SURPRISES)! So we started off the evening with a buffet in the club house. They put the VIP princess and her party in the best seats in the house! We were overlooking the track and got to see every race and watched the sunset all at the same time. It was gorgeous. Here's a picture of Kate and I (and yes she was a winner and I don't mean that because she was wearing that tiara)…
Kate and I
So that is my family update for today…now for more stamping news…Look at how I reorganized my new stamp pads…
How do you like that, even I can see the names! So how did I do it?
First I printed out all the colors on label sheets (Avery 5160). I've made a pdf file for you to downlaod onto your labels. Click on the picture BELOW to download the pdf file (phew I did all the hard work for you!).
Click the picture above for the file.
Next, you will need to cut the labels into strips with your Stampin' Up! Fiskars Cutter (# 104152) so your punch will fit.
Next, take your Word Window Punch (#119857) and punch out each label. You are now ready to attach them to your stamp pads. Because they are printed on labels, you just peel and stick – "get out of town" yes, it's that easy!!!!! WAH LAH…you are done.
Hope you enjoyed my post today. See you tomorrow, enjoy your day and thank you for stopping by my blog.
Easel Graduation Card
I participated in a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Swap recently. I received this graduation card from Lisa Curcio. It's so cute. I thought maybe some of you may need a card for this occasion. Just change up the colors to match your graduates school colors.
Outside of the card (I will tell you how to do the hat below)
Inside of the card
What the card looked like when it was open and standing.
Here is the side view.
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Go Graduate(#118518 wood mount or #120054 clear mount)
Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy More Mustard and Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Bravo Burgundy and More Mustard
Accessories: Bravo Burgundy and More Mustard Markers; BIG SHOT, Top Note Die; 3/4"circle punch; Dimensionals
1. Cut your card 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2" (fold both pieces INWARD)
2. You will need another piece for the front cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" this is attached to the lower front of the card that is scored (your layering piece for this one is 4" x 5 1/4").
3. Your inide will have the white message piece which measures 3 1/2" x 3".
4. and the other inside piece is put on with dimensionals so it sticks up a little (this will help your card stay open and look like an easel). The bottom measurement is 3 5/8" x 1 3/8" and the top white piece (the one that has the feet on it) is 3 1/2" x 1 1/4". Remember to put those two together and pop them up with dimensionals.
5. So how do we make the hat? You will cut a top note piece. Then turn that piece and line up the points with the points on the die and run it through the BIG SHOT again. This will give you a square piece. A very HELPFUL hint is to mark your Top Note Die like I did in the picture below. It helps line up the square.
I used one of our Zig Painty Pens (we don't sell them anymore :0(. So you can use a permanent marker.
This is a fun card to make. You will finish it up with strings made from cardstock and a 3/4" circle popped up with dimensionals. Conatct me at stampladee@aol.com if you'd like to order any of these items for your graduation cards or you can shop at my store 24/7 just click here and begin shopping…don't miss the clearance rack! LOTS of savings and they are changing often.
On another note, we had a blast at all my 10/10/10's this past week. It was all thumbs up for Arlene who said she wouldn't have missed it for the world or even a finger that was almost cut off! YIKES….she loves doing the 10/10/10's!
Enjoy your evening and thank you for reading my post.
LAST CHANCE LIST
Hi ladies,
I'm back from Boston. It was so much fun. We met my son Josh and his girlfriend out there and did some serious sight seeing. My favorite thing was the Duck Tour. I've been on it before but my family hasn't! It was soooo much fun.
Before I show you those pictures, I wanted to show you a beautiful card that was one of the many displays at our New England Extravaganza. I just loved this card. I wish I knew who did it so I could give her credit. Anyway…it was simply gorgeous.
Don't you just love that flower? We will be making them in my June Punch Book Class.
And now for a few pics from latests adventure…
This is the thing we rode on. It rides you all around the city then we plunged in the water. It was an old OLD war vehicle. Our captain's name was Mr. Duck Tape. He was so funny.
We took the 7:40 tour (which I strongly recommend) we got to see the most beautiful scenery not only while we were in the ocean but going through the beautiful city of Boston (or Bauston as they say it). It was all lit up…simply breathtaking.
When we got back, we went across the street to this restaurant…
Legal Sea Foods – mmmmmmm
Now this big guy was jumping up and down saying "pick me, pick me"…
so we did! :0) mmmmmmmm!
That's it for tonight…When I wake up I will post all the new stuff from Stampin' Up! Starting with the $99 Super Kit and the LAST CHANCE LIST! Enjoy your evening.
More about our colors
Good morning ladies,
I want to tell you that we also have FIVE new "In Colors" coming. I love the names and can't wait to see what they look like.
Blushing Bride
Concord Crush
Peach Parfait
Pear Pizzaz
Poppy Parade
I'm thinking that Blushing Bride is a whitish pink; the Concord Crush is a PURPLE; the Peach Parfait is something like Blush Blossom (we need a flesh color); Pear Pizzaz might be a greenish color; and I'm just not sure about the Poppy one…that's what my kids called my father-in-law…so that one I'm just not sure – maybe black like poppy seeds?? I can't wait…this is like Christmas! and the excitement begins. Email me with what YOU think the colors will be and we'll see who is the closest. FUN FUN!
Okay a few announcements and then more samples….
Remember my Challenge on March 18th? How many items are used from the Occasions Mini Catalog on this card? Well we had 58 submissions, how fun is that? And the winner is….DRUM ROLL PLEASE…
MAGGIE DOYLE!
Congratulations Maggie. So here is what she came up with…
Picture This Stamp Set
Fine Flourish Stamp set
Butterfly Accent Stamp Set
Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch
Sending Love Brads – Chocolate Chip
Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper
Eggcellent Eggs Kit
annnnd one thing none of the others came up with was the CLEAR BLOCKS!!! How smart is that! Of course the clear blocks were used!
A very common mistake on a lot of the entries was the Extra Large Bird Punch(petals behind the flower)…that was not used on Amy's card. It was the Five Petal Punch but can't be counted because it was not in the mini catalog. Another popular choice was the Beautiful Wings Embosslet but that was NOT used. It was the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Dies on page 198 of the big catalog for the butterfly.
Oh my gosh that was fun!!! Took me longer than I thought to go through all of them so thank you for your patience! :0) Maggie will receive the Fresh Cuts Stamp Set! YEAH again Maggie and thank you to all who entered.
Okay and the next winner is……
For my MARCH ONLINE Order drawing….the winner is….
LYNETTE BUCCI
YEAH Lynette! You are the winner of the Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware ! WOW!!! Congratulations.
Remember at the end of the month, I put all names in a hat (well a basket) for all online orders for that month. Each month I pull a name and they are the winner of the Online Orders!
Okay so get ordering for the month of April because you will REEEEEALLY want what I have as a prize this month! YEE Ha….
Here is another FREE Door Prize from the Spring Stamp Camp. I wish this picture came out a little clearer. It is a beautiful wooden tray with a Decor Element on the bottom. Inside the tray it was FILLED with handstamped items. It was GORGEOUS!
Here was a gorgeous travel mug decorated with our Tea Party Designer Series Paper and with this gift was a note pad and matching pen! The gal that won this was SUPER excited!
Thank you ladies for hanging in there…chat tomorrow.
