All Dressed Up with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,
So yesterday was St. Patrick's day. What would St. Patrick's Day be at the Valder household without our traditional Shamrock-Shaped Meatloaf and Green Mashed Potatoes for dinner (for normal people it's corn beef and cabbage - well that says a lot about us, we are NOT normal). So take a look.
mmmmmmm
That IS a shamrock!
They were greener than the picture looks! mmmmm
and here is the asparagus with shredded cheese!
Okay down to work! My card of the day today is all about the All Dressed up suite! Today I used only the dress form. I own a real dress form (I call her Lillie) and she goes with me to my "shows". I put all my handmade Jewelry on her to sell. So this dress form suite is near and dear to my heart.
Lillie – I found her at the neatest store in downtown Schenectady, NY.
The store is called Bliss and it's sooooo way cool! I love, love, love her stuff!
The dress form is collaged first. This is how you do it.
Take a piece of cardstock (whisper white or very vanilla) 5 1/2 x 2 3/4. Start ripping Designer Series Paper (I used the Tea For Two pack) and rip them into small pieces. For the next step you will need your Silicone mat because you need to get the snail adhesive close to the edges of the designer series paper. Just randomly rip and stick making sure the dress form fits on your decorated piece! It should look like the picture above.
Next you want to run it through your big shot. Notice I did not cut it square on the page. That is because I wanted certain colors to appear on my card. So you can twist and turn until you see what you like through the framelit. Cool huh?
Supplies used:
Family Reunion stamp set
Stazon Black Ink
Very Vanilla card stock
Basic Black card stock with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder
Basic Gray card stock withe the Striped embossing Folder
Tea For Two Designer Series Paper
5/8" Flower Trim
Dress Up Framelits
Very Vanilla Seam Binding
Scallop Oval Punch
Large Oval Punch (not the wide oval)
Pearls (colored with a sharpie marker)

Simple and Sweet Valentine from my Stampin’ Up! Collection
Hidy Ho Stampers,
Continuing on with my Valentine collection. I decided to do something that was so simple, it will only take you about 10 minutes to complete from beginning to end. Don't you just love cards like this?
Ready …. set….STAMP!
Okay so are you done yet? Nah Nah…I am! :0)
If you'd like any of these products, make sure you hop on over to my on-line store at www.stampladee.stampinup.net and click SHOP NOW!
I started with a base card 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2" (this card opens from the side). The next layer is 3 3/4" x 5. Next, you want to stamp. Always do your stamping before anything else. If you make a mistake, you can always turn it over.
After you stamp, run the top layer through the big shot. I used the hearts folder from the Adorning Accents Folders #125601. Now punch out 5 hearts with the small heart punch #117193. I used Soft Subtle colors. I'm sending this to one of my friends that is very sick and thought the softness would help her heal. Pop those hearts up with dimensionals #104430 and top it off with a mini pearl on each one!
Okay how long did it take you? I did it in 6 minutes 32 seconds! Can you beat me????
Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to join me in my speed stamping! Hope your day is a sunny one. Now hop on over to my Online Store www.stampladee.stampinup.net.
Diva/Dude Day
Hidy Ho Stampers,
Well Saturday was my quarterly Diva/Dude Day. We had to modify the name as we had TWO male teammates earn the title this time. It was so much fun and everyone was so excited for both of them. Diva/Dude Day was a concept that my friend Patsy Waggoner shared with me a few years ago and she shared at leadership this year. She was an amazing presenter!
My top 10 in sales and anyone that recruits for the quarter is invited to a very special stamping day. I do all the preparation and they come and enjoy and stamp and eat! Oh how we laughed! So this is how it played out…
My daughter Kate got up in the morning and started prepping the food.
mmmmmmmm we had mini pies filled with cherries and some filled with apples.
found this on Pinterest – the dip is in the bottom and the veges are all in individual cups (so much easier).
Here is one of three tables filled with food.
The tables were set and ready for them to come.
Everyone had our new Twitterpated Fabric and Twitterpated Designer Series Paper and Blushing Bride Pleated Ribbon and Twitterpated Buttons and Maze Game pieces and more.
Here's Dude Chris along with Val and MaryMargaret.
They were all sewing and NO ONE was whining about it! Believe it or not, they were all having FUN!
More sewers.
more fun
more food!
Here is one of the cards I created for them to complete.

Black Magic Technique Card
Hi Ladies,
Before I show you the Black Magic Technique card that they did at convention, I wanted to share with you what I did. This past Sunday, my very best friend from Kindergarten asked me to join her in a trip to Burlington, Vermont (it's only a two hour drive from Saratoga, New York and a very beautiful drive when you stay awake to see it). Her daughter's work was putting on a fundraiser and she asked if I wanted to join in the fun. It was a GORGEOUS day to participate in Zoe's Race which was a 5K event (we walked of course)!
We did the 5K WALK! I want to share some of my pictures with you.
This is a tree house they built in the park that is completely wheelchair accessible.
Ready, set….okay when are they going to go? We were in the very back so we didn't get run over.
We got to walk along Lake Champlain.
All ages could walk or run…okay so the little girls are beating us. Aren't they cute.
Here I'm holding the rock up or is it the other way around? We are almost done. This was one of the rocks that makes up the sun dial in the park.
So here's my kindergarten buddy, Kathy, and they best part of the race…getting Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream (Coffee Heath Bar Crunch)!mmmmmmm They had all kinds of food for us to eat.
Here's Kathy's daughter Kaylan and boyfriend Josh. Kaylan was one of the gals that organized the entire event. She's such a doll.
Okay then we went into town and walked up and down Church Street.
They had statues all over of cows. We have horses here in Saratoga but they have cows! It was a fun day.
Okay here is the card I was telling you about. It's called Black Magic and it's just beautiful.
It's done with my favorite set from the catalog "Just Believe". You use Stampin' Up's watercolor pencils and gel pen. There is some Newsprint DSP and our new pearls. The backgroung is brayered. Just a beautiful job she did demonstrating it.
Well I'm off to my last workshop for the month. Hope you enjoyed my post. Stop back soon.
