I’m leavin’ on a jet plane…
Remember that song? Boy did I just date myself. Anyway…I wanted to share with you my Swap Card from Founder's Circle. I don't think I did that. Remember I made 136 of these. I love the way they came out.
Front View, do you see how the web glistens. How cool is that??!
And here is a side view. Do you see the 3D look?
There is so much cool stuff incorporated into this card.
Spider Web Folder #120889; Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink (121084 Top Coat) I used for the web - you can see through it but it glistens. I did 136 cards and still had lots left in that one bottle. There were 63 lines on each web times 136 cards, you do the math!!! WOWZER! Chunky Essentials Glitter – 108797 put on with the Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue; Sticky Pages; our new Rhinestones and more. I just loved putting these cards together.
Okay, I'm off to Virginia for our Stampin' Up! Regional. Hope you liked my card.
Stampin’ Up! and Knitting??
Hi ladies,
I've started my 12th year with Stampin' Up! and I often ask myself why I just love this business so much. The answer is easy, there is something new every day. You never get bored because it changes all the time. Just when you think you know it all or when you've seen everything, something new pops up. We've seen that trend with Stampin' Up! and our fabric items, now it's spilled over into knitting. My friend Jan Burnett is showing us how she KNITS our buttons together to make wearable jewlery. Yes, I said KNITS!
Here is Jan and Selma laying the stuff out.
This is what it will look like when it's done. These are our NEW buttons.
She lays them all out, strings them onto a special knitting wire and knits away!!! Oh my gosh.
And going along with that, I just have to show you this card that I got in my Founders Circle Swap. It's KNITTED!!! :0)
Isn't this the cutest card. It's made with a stamp set called Hand Knit (#117012 wood mount or #120507 clear mount) found on page 65 of the big Stampin' Up! catalog. She used tooth picks and beads for the knitting needles and she actually knitted the little pieces to put on the toothpicks. She layered this on the Daffodil Delight cardstock that was run through the Square Lattice Folder (#119976).
If you do not have a demonstrator or if you are one of my customers and would like to order any of these items, I'd be happy to help. Just contact me at stampladee@aol.com or shop online 24/7 in my store at www.stampladee.com or http://stampladee.stampinup.net.
Let me know if you have any questions. Have a great evening.
Founder’s Circle Day 4
Hi ladies,
Well it is day 4, our last full day of Founder's Circle. In the morning we had some "free" time so a lot of us hung out in the Gathering Room. I needed to work on my Make and Takes, others were working on My Digital Studio or just talking "shop". It was just fun connecting with other demonstrators.
I did my make and takes with these gals.
Girls working on and learning the in's and out's of My Digital Studio.
Every day in the gathering room there was a "special treat of the day". It started out with carmel apples on Wednesday, HUGE cookies on Thursday, ENORMOUS danish on Friday and these delightful donuts on Saturday. I was good, I only looked!
But I did try to take a bite of Dawn Griffith's! mmmmmm
Then it was time to put on those Pink Shirts and take off on the bus for our SURPRISE destination. Now we all thought we were going bowling because of the shirts! Were we right?
Sara and Shalea. Aren't they just the cutest!
And here was our table. The decorations are such a big part of this event!
Here's a bigger picture of the table.
mmmmmmm
We sat with our group – we were the Taffeta's, you probably remember that from my first night postings.
Here is Shelli welcoming everyone.
Food Table.
Here we are after we bowled! It was the first time I EVER Wii Bowled! I was surprisingly good! I came in second in our group. I don't think I've laughed that hard in such a long time!
Here is one of my shots! Not bad huh!
And YES we did win a prize! …..
It was the prize for the group with the LOWEST score! Who cares!!!! We still got a prize! :0)
When we got back to the hotel, here is our last pillow gift….
It's a gorgeous sweater. It has our ribbon and there is a logo on the arm…made from rubber and it says Stampin' Up! SOOOOOOO neat!
Anyway, it was a blast!
Good night.
Founder’s Circle Day 3
Hi ladies,
Well we got up on Day 3 (Friday). I was soooooo excited. This was the day of the Jammie Party/Business Share/Swap. That is one of my most FAVORITE things to do at Founder's Circle. So the day started off with a wonderful breakfast buffet again. Such good food and so much of it. Then we were off to our 1/2 Day St. George Regional. Stampin' Up! offered us a free Regional Seminar. We had demonstrators that did WOW presentations, we had Stampin' Up! staff that did stamping and techniques as well as business building segments. We learned so much. Here are a few pictures of the regional…
There is Sara Douglas (one of Shelli's Daughters) as we entered the Regional Seminar.
Here is one of the cards the gals at my table shared.
This is the Special that is going on right now for anyone that signs up to be a demonstrator during the month of September. You get this TOTE-ALLY awesome tote for free for signing up. Hurry the offer ends soon. Contact me at stampladee@aol.com if you'd like to join.
You will also get a free stamp set that is going to be in the 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog. It's called Eat Chocolate and here are a few samples from this set. Again, contact me if you'd like to receive these two gifts along with your kit – stampladee@aol.com!
After the Regional we came back to the hotel for the lunch buffett. Yes, we did eat non stop!
After a scruptious lunch, it was topped off with this incredible dessert! LOOK it's in a skillet…a warm brownie with ice cream and all kinds of good stuff! Truly sinful!
Here were the doors entering into the gathering room.
This was Shelli's door. She had Shalea and Sara staying with her. We all got our own room.
After lunch, we took the shuttle to two different fabric stores. I found some pillow kits that I'm going to make up and give to our local Ronald McDonald House.
Then….we went to dinner and got ready for the jammie party! The best part of the trip!
Here is the best staff in the world. These are the girls that thought up the theme and carried it all out. They are exceptional.
When we came in, we all received a popcorn box but guess what? It didn't have popcorn in it…it had this beautiful book and pen in it.
The pen was engraved.
Here is Dawn Rapsas. She had pajamas made out our our new Christmas fabric. Isn't she cute.
And here I am. Here are my famous jammies. My very good friend and downline, Nancy McKenney, made them for me. Aren't they the cutest. I had a matching headband and matching slippers. She is awesome!!! Thank You Nancy.
Here I am with Shelli.
I took time to pose with Glenda Travelstadt. Aren't her socks so cute!
In case you haven't guessed, we NEVER lacked for food…Popcorn…
Drinks…
Including Root Beer Floats – Isn't Jan so cute.
Then the swapping began. Remember I had to make 135 swaps.
Here is Shelli swapping.
Look at my stash!!!
Then as we got to our rooms, there was another pillow gift. PIZZA????
hmmmmmm
Oh my gosh…It's a bowling shirt. Were we going bowling on Saturday? Stay tuned for tomorrow's post to find out exactly what we did with that shirt!
And here is all the stuff I got today! Whew!
Good night…
Founders Circle – Day 1
I know I know, I'm the last one to post and I'm sure you saw all the pictures on someone else's blog but here we go anyway. I had all intentions to post every day but I just couldn't, I used EVERY minute to enjoy and take it all in! Sorry….but here they are…Day One!
We arrived in St. George Utah and there they were…We realized then that the whole week would be the 50's theme! These gals were dressed up like the old "soda jerks". That's what they were called, I didn't call them something bad, really!
Here is Cory and MaryEllen. Every day there was a sweet of the day…the first day was candy apples mmmmmmmm
See all those pink things…those were our welcome prize…it is a NEW stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog that is coming up soon. LOVE IT!
Going along with our 50's theme, we were assigned tables. Here are my table mates and we were called the Taffetas.
Each place setting had an old album cover. I was sitting at the Barbara Streisand seat.
The first item of food to come out was the lettace wedge – mmmmmmm
And look at this Beef Wellington! It has an SU on top. How cute is this?!
When I went up to my room, there was my door name plate. It was a real record but decorated to match our theme.
And one of the best things about this trip are the bed gifts. This one was filled with stamps, punches and stamp pads from the NEW Occasions Mini. I can't show them to you yet because it is against SU policy. So ya gotta wait until the mini catalog comes out.
Okay that bed looks comfy, I'm off to bed. Hope you enjoyed my entry tonight…more pictures tomorrow.
New Stuff Coming…
Hi girls,
I know I know you have been wondering where I've been. Well I got my order from the NEW Holiday Mini Catalog and I've been playing (nonstop) with all my free new product! I'm getting samples ready for you and having a blast doing it. That's one of the best perks of being a demonstrator – you get to order the product early and I get most of mine for free, YIPPPEEEE! I had $400 in free money to spend on this catalog so I got at least one of everything and some several of! Okay enough for the teasing….
I'm also working on my swaps for Founder's Circle. This year 135 of the top demonstrators will be going to St. George Utah for five days of sheer bliss! We talk and share and just have a stinken riot. This year we are going to have a Sock Hop Jammie Party. During that Jammie Party, we do our annual swap. I'm so excited with the way my card came out. Now to start the assembly line. It's fun and I just love doing it. I can't show you the completed card until after I get back but I will show you the layers as I'm doing them…there is a lot to it. I did share it with my clubs this past week and they said they LOVED it. YIPPPEEE!!!
Okay, that's it for tonight, I just wanted you to know where I was. Enjoy your day and I'll be back. Thank you for stopping by.
