Scribble Stamping with Deb Valder

All Posts

24 Feb

Hidy Ho Stampers,

Remember when we drew as kids?  We just scribbled all over the coloring books and thought it was the most beautiful thing ever.  Then we'd give it to the one we loved – usually our mom or dad and we were as proud as a pickle!  :0)  Are you a parent, do you remember the smile these drawing brought to your face when you received one of these scribbles?!!!  You thought it was the best thing and it immediately went up on the refrigerator!

Cherish Friendship 1

Well…….Scribble Stamping can do the same thing.  If you send one of these cards, I'm sure the person that receives it will definitely smile and put it on their refrigerator!

Here is what Wikipedia says about scribbling…

Scribbling is most often associated with young children and toddlers because their lack of hand-eye coordination and lower mental development often make it very difficult for any young child to keep their coloring attempts within the line art of the subject (heck I know a lot of adults that also fall under that description :0).

Adults also scribble, although generally it is done jovially, out of boredom (as in doodling), as a form of abstract art, or to see if their pen works.

Definition

[1] To write hastily or carelessly without regard to legibility or form. To cover with careless or worthless writings or drawings

[1] Etymology: Middle English scriblen, from Medieval Latin scribillare, from Latin scribere to write

Okay, under the definition, it says it best….to cover with careless or worthless writings or drawings!  So in our Scribbling technique (and I use the word technique loosely!), I want you to do just that…..just SCRIBBLE your heart out with our amazing Stampin' Up! markers!!!!

Here you go, watch my video and learn how to scribble the correct way!  If you are viewing this as an email, you will need to go to my YouTube channel and see it there.  Emails can't accept videos!  So here you go….

So doesn't that make you just want to go out and scribble your heart out!?  And it's such a fast form of stamping!!!!  You'll be seeing me do a lot of this in the future, I just made up a boat-load of cards for my card rack.

2.  Make sure you head on over to my Business Facebook Page and give it a LIKE so you don't miss any of the things I'm doing.  While you're at it, subscribe to this blog and my YouTube Channel.  I think you will enjoy them (I hope)!

Oh my gosh, what a fun way to make a card.  I have checked out quite a few of your posts and love them all.  My problem is not knowing what to  say when I want to post a comment, other than love your card.  I am going to try your scribble technique and then probably do it for one of my classes.  Thanks so much for sharing.
