Blendabilities meet Crystal Effects Technique with Deb Valder

Hidy Ho stampers,

Today here in Ballston Spa, New York, is the PERFECT weather day, the sun is shining, it's not too cold, it's not too hot and there is a very slight breeze.  Sooooooooo gorgeous.  Perfect day to be sitting on the front porch in one of our rockers writing to all of you!  So look what came to visit me while I was sitting…

deer-deb-valder-so-beautiful

do you see the little baby fawn over by the garden shed?

deer-deb-valder-stampin-up-3

It's a Bambi – tiny with spots – his mom was snorting at Kevin the other day!

he visits often!  we named him Morton.

Today's card technique is soooooooo much fun and it was totally NOT what I should have been doing today (does that ever happen to you).  But I started it accidentally and kept on going because it was so much fun.

too stinken cute right?

these are cloudy because they were just made and still wet

Blendabilities-crystal-effects-technique-stampin-up-deb-valder-new-catalog-embellishments-2

here you can see they are drying

can you tell the difference?  When they are dry, they become clear.

now take your blendabilities and color.

so this is the card without the embellishments

cute but there can be more…

tah dah!

Blendabilities-crystal-effects-watercolor-thank-you-technique-stampin-up-deb-valder-new-catalog-embellishments-4

can you see how they are raised?

Okay you guys that were raised in the 70's, remember the Smiley faces?

I used Crystal Effects to make the Smiley Face and for the letters.

More Smiley Faces!

And I just love this one…

Used the Kinda Eclectic and Think Happy Stamp Sets!

Oh happy days!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today, I need to get back to what I SHOULD be doing!  :0)  instead of what I WANT to be doing!  Have a great day, see you tomorrow.

I ruined the tip of my crystal effects, bought a new one and saved the old one. Had no idea what to do with it because I could not control the flow. Wow! Make globs and then color them. Fantastic! Have several drying and waiting to be colored. Thanks for a great idea.
