Punch Art and more…

Hidy Ho stampers,

Phew has it been busy around here.  So today's post is just going to be short and a little of this and a little of that…first…a friend asked if I had a punch page for a peach.  I didn't but thought…hmmmmm how hard could it be.  So this is what I came up with…

Not bad huh?!  :0)  I thought it came out nice!

Next I have a tip for you.  My daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease before it became popular (20 years ago).  Back then, very few people new what it was or what to do for her.  BUT one of the things we knew she couldn't do is to LICK an envelope because it is made with wheat paste.  So instead of licking envelopes, what we do is use our "aqua painters" (# 103954)to moisten the envelope.  See the pictures below…

Pretty clever right???  okay keep going…I'm not done yet…

See???  I told you I've been busy…finishing up from Stamp Camp gifts, and getting ready for Convention gifts.  Sooooooo much fun!

Well that wraps it up for today, I told you it was a little of this and a little fo that.  Thank you for stopping by…see you tomorrow.

Corner Punches also revisited

Hidy Ho Stampers,

I'm going to revisit another post I did a lonnnnng time ago.  I've been using the corner punches again and my guests have asked me to re-post the dimensions for these punches so here you go.

You really want to make these templates and use them to size up your layers for your project.

Here are the dimensions:

1  15/16” square  -  layer using the 1 3/8" square punch

2  3/8” square  -  layer  1  13/16"

2  7/8” square  -  layer  2  5/16"

3  ¼” square  -  layer  2  11/16"

3  13/16 square  -  layer  3  1/4"

4  ¼” square  -  layer  3  5/8"

4  ¾” square  -  layer  4  1/8"

IMPORTANT NOTE:  If you are still using the OLD cutter, you really need upgrade and make a very good investment in our Stampin' Up! cutter found on page 199 of the big catalog (#104152).  You really can't guess on these measurements, they need to be accurate, this cutter shows measurements right down to the 1/16".  Don't you upgrade your car?  furniture?  CLOTHES?  Don't be outdated…go for it…click the SHOP NOW button and just do it!  You'll be very happy you did.

Make sure you go to my online store and check out all the "Last Chance" lists.  There are items that are no longer available.  Act quickly so you are not shut out of an item that you really want (especially those punches).  Thank you for stopping by.

Here is the view from the front.  Didn't she do an outstanding job.  Talk about "OVER THE TOP"!

Thank you for Christina for participating.  She won a $25 gift certificate for product from SU from me.

Thank you for stopping by and make sure you stop by tomorrow, I will show you more from our Team Meeting and more of the entries from our challenge…stay tuned!

Deb’s Team Get Together

Hidy Ho Stampers,

Well it's been VERY busy around here.  Today we had our team meeting and … yes…it was AWESOME.  One of the things we did was watch a fantastic demonstration from one of our top demonstrators – Rosanne Sammler.  She actually did two demonstrations.  Here are some pictures…

Here is Rosanne demonstrating the pop-up card.

Here are three samples of gift card holders.

A close up of the graduation card, she even showed us how to make the tassel.

Here is the "coffee cup" open.

And here is the "thank you" card halfway open.

Her second demonstration was showing us the Birthday pop out card.

Isn't this the most adorable card you've ever seen?!!!!

And here is that cute owl punch again with the wood grain background for a tree.  TOO CUTE!

 And the inside.

This is what the inside looked like.  She used the Word Window punch to punch up the pop ups!

Another close up at a different angle.

Thank you for stopping by.  You WILL want to keep checking my blog this week because I have more Team Meeting samples.  It was one of the BEST get togethers we've ever had.  Wait until you see what we did!  Take care for now!

Petal Cone Die

Hidy Ho Stampers,

As you know I just love the Petal Cone Die.  I was playing around with it this week and came up with this cute little basket.  I first saw it on Shelli's blog and decided to try it for myself.  I think it came out cute.

Front View

Side View.

Other supplies used were the Designer Series Paper called  Springtime Vintage #121782 found on page 15 and the Vintage Flower Adornments #121879 also found on page 15 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.  If you are interested in any of these, they will disappear after Saturday, April 30th.  You need to contact me asap if you'd like anything from that mini!

Hope you enjoyed my post.

We are sooooo excited….

Hidy Ho Stampers,

Well I've been holding it in but now I can let it out!!!!  JOSH and MEGAN GOT ENGAGED!  YIPPPEEEEE….I'm so excited.  So what do you think?

Here is the ring he picked out for her.  He's the "Rock Doc" (he has his PhD in Geology) so do you think he picked the right rock?  It's gorgeous.

And Moose, helped to pop the question…do you like his Bow Tie?  He dressed for the occasion.

And look at his little heart, it reads…."Megan will you marry me?"

And here they are….they are so excited!

With those two in mind, I created this card…

Isn't this pretty?  Of course it is.  I used the new Four Frames stamp set #123440 wood mount or 123442 clear mount and the new Designer Series Paper Paisley Petals #122367.  You can order either or both of these these.  They have to be ordered before Saturday, April 30th.  So how can you order them?  Spend $20 on any Stampin' Up! products and become eligible to purchase both the Four Frames Set and or the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper.  Hurry, time is almost up!

Also used on this card are the Baja Breeze Seam Binding for the bow, the Decorative Label Punch that matches our Stamp Set.  See how it all coordinates.

So let the fun begin….  :0)

Elmo!

Hidy Ho stampers,

At my stamping team meetings we always have a demonstration.  This month we had a demo on how to use our Big Shot in a different way.  Bev used it to make an Elmo card.  Here it is…

Isn't he the cutest little thing.  Thank you Bev for teaching us how to make a card out of one of our dies.

I also do a raffle.  All the product for this month were from the upcoming Summer Mini Catalog.  You get free raffle tickets for different things.  It's all free to the gals that come.  They were so excited to get new product in their hands for free.

So how do you get tickets?  Come and see!  As a guest to my team meeting, you too are eligible for free tickets!  Contact me to find out how to participate.

Easter Bonnet

Hidy Ho Stampers,

I've been seeing a lot of these Easter Bonnets out there and I just had to make one.  Here is my version of the "Easter Bonnet"!

1.  I used one of the containers that our embellishments come in (recycling)!

2.  The bottom piece is cut from the Big Shot and our large scallop die ##113468 found on page 207.  I then ran that through our Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder #120175 found on page 214 of the big catalog and adhered that to the bottom of the container with Mini Glue Dots #103683 found on page 197 of the Big Catalog.

3.  Next I wrapped around the the sides of the container in our Pretty In Pink 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon #119956 (I also made the ribbon bow with that ribbon).  I adhered the ribbon with Sticky Strip #104294 found on page 197.

4.  Next you will see the flowers.  They were made with – yes you guessed it – my new favorite die – the Fun Flowers Die #121812 found on page 39 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I used only the small flower on the die - cut one Rose Red, one Pretty In Pink and one Whisper White.  Spritz both sides with water and crunch them up, then very carefully open them up, you want them to still look wrinkled.  After they are dry, use your Mini Glue Dots (aka snot dots) #103683 found on page 197 to glue the three flowers together and then to add one of our absolutely ADORABLE Vintage Flower Adornments #121879 found on page 15 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.

5.  Now moving on to the top of the bonnet, punch out a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the 2 3/8" scallop Circle punch then run it through the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder and adhere it to the top of the container with the Mini Glue Dots.

Isn't it just adorable…hey, this could go along with the sweater I made yesterday!

And look how yummy the inside looks!  JELLY BEANS!!!!

I live in Saratoga New York and Bonnets are HUGE here during our Horse Racing Season.  Don't ya just love them??!!!

Hope you enjoyed my project.  Take care.
