Easel Graduation Card
I participated in a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Swap recently. I received this graduation card from Lisa Curcio. It's so cute. I thought maybe some of you may need a card for this occasion. Just change up the colors to match your graduates school colors.
Outside of the card (I will tell you how to do the hat below)
Inside of the card
What the card looked like when it was open and standing.
Here is the side view.
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Go Graduate(#118518 wood mount or #120054 clear mount)
Cardstock: Bravo Burgundy More Mustard and Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Bravo Burgundy and More Mustard
Accessories: Bravo Burgundy and More Mustard Markers; BIG SHOT, Top Note Die; 3/4"circle punch; Dimensionals
1. Cut your card 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2" (fold both pieces INWARD)
2. You will need another piece for the front cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" this is attached to the lower front of the card that is scored (your layering piece for this one is 4" x 5 1/4").
3. Your inide will have the white message piece which measures 3 1/2" x 3".
4. and the other inside piece is put on with dimensionals so it sticks up a little (this will help your card stay open and look like an easel). The bottom measurement is 3 5/8" x 1 3/8" and the top white piece (the one that has the feet on it) is 3 1/2" x 1 1/4". Remember to put those two together and pop them up with dimensionals.
5. So how do we make the hat? You will cut a top note piece. Then turn that piece and line up the points with the points on the die and run it through the BIG SHOT again. This will give you a square piece. A very HELPFUL hint is to mark your Top Note Die like I did in the picture below. It helps line up the square.
I used one of our Zig Painty Pens (we don't sell them anymore :0(. So you can use a permanent marker.
This is a fun card to make. You will finish it up with strings made from cardstock and a 3/4" circle popped up with dimensionals. Conatct me at stampladee@aol.com if you'd like to order any of these items for your graduation cards or you can shop at my store 24/7 just click here and begin shopping…don't miss the clearance rack! LOTS of savings and they are changing often.
On another note, we had a blast at all my 10/10/10's this past week. It was all thumbs up for Arlene who said she wouldn't have missed it for the world or even a finger that was almost cut off! YIKES….she loves doing the 10/10/10's!
Enjoy your evening and thank you for reading my post.
More on Stamp Camp
Hi ladies,
Rainy day again today! But that's great stamping weather. I wanted to share some more doorprizes that we had at Stamp Camp yesterday.
This was created by Susan Birbilis, one of our team members, she does a lot for our group. She stamped the tile with Stazon Ink and then filled it in with Craft Ink. While it was still wet, she used Glassy Glaze and heated it. HURRY, Glassy Glaze is on the Last Chance Accessories List! She added a plate holder, dry erase marker and eraser to complete this awesome wipeoff board.
This tile is so elegant. It' is done with one of our Decor Element Stencils, Craft Ink and Glassy Glaze (HURRY, Glassy Glaze is on the Last Chance Accessories List)! This was made by Nancy McKenney. She is a fantastic stamper and a great part of our Demo Team. LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!

Chunky Frames
Hello Stampers,
I told you I would show you the things we made at my Stamping Diva Day. So here they are:
Here is one of our Chunky Frames found on the second page of our Definitely Decorative Book #2. This simple white frame is very impressive. It is an ideal canvas to embellish with Decor Elements, Decor Stencils or other embellishments. What you see here (above) is the chocolate Decor Element found in this same book. This one is called Ornate Flower. They are so easy to make. The Decor Element just rubs on the piece you are working with. Easy and elegant! They are thick enough to stand on their own on a shelf or you can hang them on a wall.
I taught the Diva's how to Stencil on their frames. They LOVED it! It was done with craft ink and embossing powder. This one used So Saffron and More Mustard ink. GORGEOUS.
Here is what they look like together.
And here is closeup of the stenciled frame.
You can order these anytime! Just click on the SHOP NOW button on this blog! If you have any questions, let me know. I'm making three frames for my son who is graduating from the South Dakota School of Mines May 8th with his PhD in Geological Engineering. We are so proud of him.
Enjoy your evening.
Diva Day Surprise…
My "New Collections Table" was filled with our new colors and food to match. It was such a hoot and I was cracking myself up at the grocery store! Trying to remember all the new colors and foods to match. Now I just have to learn to spell them. Okay so here we go…
Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke
Peach Parfait, Melon Mambo and Perfect Plum
We have Crumb Cake and Early Espresso with Old Olives (the olives are really new but the color is called "old" you understand). Do you see the Cake Plate? Do you see the Chalkboard Decor Elements, these are the oval Chalkboard Labels you will see in the new Summer Mini. So cute.
And here we have Concord Crush, Pear Pizza and Tangerine Tango, and Chocolate Chip
Daffodil Delight
Now there is one treat that never made it to our new Collections Table…that one landed UPSIDE down on the door of my oven (okay so I never said I was a cook…I STAMP)! So this is what it looked like before I scrapped it off! Now I have to go clean the oven - argh!
And here is what the sign looked like on the Collections Table..
So this was our New Collections table. Stay tuned. Tomorrow I will show you the pictures of the projects we did! I think you are going to like them.

CLEAR MOUNTED STAMPS
So what is your take on our new Clear Mount Stamps? Stampin' Up! has given you a choice. The choice is Wood Mount or Clear Mount. My new favorites are the clear mount. I have a lot of unmounted stamps (I get so many free ones from Stampin' Up!) I don't always have time to mount them which has turned out to be a great thing. I'm going to show you how to take your unmounted WOOD MOUNT stamps and turn them into CLEAR MOUNT stamps. It's so much fun and so fast.
okay so the first thing you want to do is pop out your rubber image and remove the sticker from the sticker sheet.
Next you will put the sticky side up on the sticker and the foam down. Line up the image and lay your stamp on the sticker sheet.
Turn over your piece and trim the clear sticker off. (Trim around it like you used to do when we had to cut stamps out)!
Do this to all your pieces before you go to the next step.
Next you are going to need your Tombow "Green Glue". Optionally you can use a foam brush but don't absolutely need it. See the next picture for details.
Next you are going to spread the glue evenly over the entire stamp. After you've done that for all the pieces, set them aside for at least 24 hours. After that, the glue will be sticky but will not stick permanently! It works perfect….and that's my tip for today!
Now on to more pictures from Stamp Camp
Here's our welcoming committee!!! Hi Sue and Marlene!
Here are two more FREE doorprizes! Aren't they just beautiful!!! What an awesome job the girls did…remember every stamp camp atendee got to take home a doorprize!
And last show and tell for today is this beautiful card made by Pat Dover. She attended one of my classes on flowers and she adapted it to this birthday card for her friend Linda. She used the round punch and STICKY PAGES!!!! It's a cool technique.
Enjoy your day ladies, I'm not sure where you are in the country today but on the 7th of April, 2010, it's going to 80 degrees here in NEW YORK in APRIL! How cool is that (I mean how HOT is that)! Enjoy.

And here is another FREE gift from our Spring Stamp Camp held on March 27th. This is a tile that is made with the stencils that can be found on the last page of the Definitely Decorative Supplement. It is from the Elegant Trio collection ($9.95 118262 – for a set of 3 stencils). You sponge on craft ink, sprinkle with #100477 Glassy Glaze Enamel Powder, then bake in your oven and embellish as you wish. These are beautiful gifts.
Here was another one of the FREE giveaways. It's an Easter Basket FILLED with handstamped gifts. Many of the embellishments came from the Eggcellent Eggs Kit found on page 23 of the Occasions Mini Catalog. The stamper that recieved this gift could not believe it was all for her! She was so excited.
Okay, that's it for today…I'll show you more tomorrow.

This stamp set is a BLAST from the past (kind of like me). Do you recognize this set? This is the Simply Said stamp set found on page 51 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog. It is very special to me as my friend Melissa made it for me! Do you see the PINK ribbon? It represents Breast Cancer awareness! She is such a sweetie! Thank you Melissa, I just love it.
And here is another one of our Make and Takes from our Sunday meeting. ISt's an easel card made with the Vintage Vogue stamp set. We paired it with the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper. Just beautiful and fun to make.
I told you we go home with GOBS of stuff from my meetings. We have such talented stampers in my group, I'm so excited when I leave there. If you'd like to be a part of it, contact me and we can talk. Enjoy your day.
It’s Not Too Late…
It really isn't too late to start your Holiday Cards so don't even think that. In the next few days I will post some awesome pictures I got in a swap at Founders Circle this year. If you need supplies, I'm putting orders in every day OR you can go to my ON-LINE store (click the link above) and shop!!! If you need help with them or have any questions, just let me know and I will help! I'm here for you. We've been doing some FANTASTIC classes in recent weeks also…great for gift giving. Last night was the Calendar class – we did three different calendars all in one night. I will post pictures tomorrow. Anyway…get some ideas for your cards…here are a few examples.

This is one of my favorites and inspired me to start using our stencils found in the Decor Elements catalog. This one was a swap card made by Angela McKay. Our club cards this month will be done with the stencils…wait until you see what I have in store for you this month.

This was done by Glenda Travelsted, one of the sweetest ladies I know. I don't know if you can see it or not but there is an all over shimmer. On the card we used the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint from a spray bottle. Take one of our Stampin' Mist bottles and empty the contents into the large refill bottle so the little bottle is empty. Rinse it out and fill it with rubbing alcohol. Next add 1/4 teaspoon of the Champagne Mist shimmer paint and spritz your card. It is GORGEOUS. This is the BEST mister we have found. The others leave BLOBS! – Not a good thing on your Christmas cards.

I can't give credit to the creator of this card as there was no name on it but take my word, it's BEAUTIFUL…the snowflakes in the background are embossed and the ornaments are raised for dimension.

I love all the color in this card. It was done by Heather Stall. The shimmer on this card was done with two-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on the trees. Just beautiful.

This is a very unique card. The ornament was done with Aluminum Foil. Punch it out with your Ornament Punch then run it through the big shot with one of our embossing folders and just LOOK AT THAT! Christy Harsh is the creator of this beautiful card.

This card uses some of my favorit paper. It's the Christmas Cocoa Specialty paper found in the Holiday Mini catalog. This stamp set is also found in the Holiday Mini. Tami Ackerson is the creator. Thank you all for sharing and swapping cards.
Remember ladies, the time is getting closer to the big day. I'm sending out my 12 Days of Christmas Ideas starting today…remember to email me if you'd like to get on that list. Great last minute holiday gift giving ideas. Enjoy your day.
