Stamp Camp BLOG

Today's Quick, easy, simple, speedy card is made with one of the stamps from the BEST OF series.  This is a series of stamps that will be rolling out each month for the whole year to Celebrate Stampin' Up!'s 25th Anniversary.  Click here to see more details about the promotion (you'll need to scroll through my dinner pictures first :0).  Anyway, this is the card I made for those that have joined my "Oldies but Goodies" group.  I hand-stamp them a card for each month they buy that stamp set and mail it out to them!  I love this one.

Best of 5

So here is a shot to show you there is a hole in the card :0)!

Best of 1

Flat boring picuture but needed to show you what it looks like closed.

Best of 3

ooooooooooo aaaahhhhhhhhh…see all the layers?

Best of 2

Then when you open it, the stamp is on the back of the card base.

Best of 4

Here are a few pointers.  When you cut out the oval with the NEW Oval framelits, put your base card and your 4" x 5 1/4" together and cut them together.  See more of the directions below.

Best of 6

The size of the black piece that is layered or "sandwiched" in between the white ovals is 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" then I punched out the smallest oval in the set.

Supplies:

Stamps Set:  NEW The Best of Birthdays #132929 clear mount only

Card Stock:  Whisper White and Basic Black

Ink:  VersaMark

Accessories:

NEW #129381 Ovals Collection Framelits (if you buy the Oh, Hello Bundle #131102 wood mount or #131101 clear mount, you will get the bundle which includes the framelits for 15% off)! It's totally worth it.

NEW #127819 Lacy Brocade Textured Embossing Folder (it was the folder that was in the Holiday Catalog and carried over)

#109133 Black Stampin' Embossing Powder

#119859 Extra Large Oval Punch (which coordinates perfectly with this stamp and complements the Ovals Framelits)

#120922 Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon

Dimensionals and Glue Dots were also used (click here to find out how to get all your adhesives in one bundle)

Directions:

Take a piece of Whisper White Card Stock that measure 4 1/4" x 11" and score it at 5 1/2, this will be your base card.

Take a piece of Whisper White Card Stock that measures 4" x 5 1/4" and temporarily adhere this to the front of your base card.  Run it through the Big Shot with the #2 Oval.  Then run this piece through the Big Shot with the Lace Brocade Embossing folder (make sure you do it in this order or your Lacy Brocade design will flatten out a little).  Wrap your 5" piece of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon around this layer.  Put Stampin' Dimensioanls on the back and set aside for just a moment.

Next cut a piece of Basic Black Card Stock that measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and center the smallest oval #1 on this piece of black.  Run it through the Big Shot.  Adhere this to the Base card with snail adhesive (hint open up the card to center see photo #4 above).

Now add the top layer to the base card that has the black oval on it.

On a piece of Whisper White scrap paper, stamp the Best OF Birthday stamp with Versa Mark ink.  Add black embossing powder and heat with your heat tool.  Punch this out with your extra large oval punch.  Put dimensionals on the back.  With the card closed, slide this punched piece through the hole to adhere.

Now add a fork bow and you are DONE!!!!

I thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by and see me!  What a nice person you are!  Thank you and don't forget to get all your stamping supplies at www.stampladee.stampinup.net!  I'd love to have you stop by the store and just shop til you drop.

Core’dinations Creations

Hidy Ho Stampers,

First I just have to share this with you.  It's too stinken cute and soooooooo appropriate for our stampers!

how cute is that?

So today I wanted to share another product that we have in the new Mini/Maxi/Holiday Catalog.  It can be found on page 6.  It's called Core'dinations Cardstock.  It's an 80lb SANDABLE cardstock to create an antiqued, distressed and color-popping look.

This new item comes in three colors -

#127846 Cherry Cobbler,

#127848 Early Espresso and

#127847 Gumball Green.

You can sand, tear or distress to get different looks.  The inside layer is monochromatic.  So if you want to sand, you will want to run it through one of our FABTABULOUS embossing folders then sand over the raised pattern.  The next thing you may want to do is to use our Core-dinations Dust Buddy with it.  After sanding, you've got all this fluffy colored dust!  when you swipe this tacky cloth across your finished piece, you will pick up all the unwanted fluff.  I also swipe it along my working area so that the fluff does not get into my new stamp pads.  It works terrific.

Our Stamipin' Sanding Block #129367 and the refills of sanding paper is #129368

Core'dinations Dust Buddy # 129366

Now click here to order in my online store (you can even do it on this rainy day)!

I've got some samples for you.  These were swaps that I received or made in my team meeting.

Here we have the Early Espresso

and our new Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder #127819

Cherry Cobbler

and our new Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder #127819

 Cherry Cobbler

and the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder #120902

 Early Espresso

and the new Woodgrain Embossing Folder #127821

 Early Espresso

and our new Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder #127819

 Gumball Green

and our new Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder #127819

once again here are the products shown on page 6 of the Mini/Maxi/Holiday Catalog

#127846 Cherry Cobbler,

#127848 Early Espresso and

#127847 Gumball Green.

# 129367 Stamipin' Sanding Block

#129368 the refills of sanding paper

#129366 Core'dinations Dust Buddy

I  hope you enjoyed the post and maybe even learned a little more about our amazing product.  This is one of the neatest and most unique I've encountered!  It's really cool.  Remember to click here to order in my online store and to have your name added to the hat for a free drawing of product at the end of the month.

Thank you for stopping by and have a super day!

Classes coming up:

1.  Halloween Tray (too stinken cute)

2.  Continuing Education Classes

3.  Stamp Camp on October 27th (need to rsvp by October 13th)

Tag You’re It!

Hidy Ho Stampers,

I've seen this picture running around the internet and just HAD to post it. How stinken cute is this!!!

Doesn't she look like a younger Katie?! Too cute!

Have you been through the Stampin' Up! Mini/Maxi/Holiday Catalog from cover to cover? Have you noticed the "tags" on page 12? They are called Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags. You can use them for quick and easy tags for gifts OR you can use them for card accents. You get 25 double-sided tags (5 each of 5 double-sided designs).

Here is a card I did with one of the tags. This is the front side of the tag. You will see how it has a border and a cute little design on the top and bottom. The middle of the tag lends a perfect place for a stamp or sentiment.  I also used a stamp from the Holiday Catalog called Frosty Friends. It's a single stamp.

#128117 Frosty Friends Wood Mount Stamp for $11.95

So what do snowmen do when no one is looking?

Well just take a look at the next picture!

This is Sassy Sally Snow woman (I used a portion of the stamp for her)

She's a snow woman with ATTITUDE!

I framed her with our new Flourish Deisgner Frames found on page 8 of the Holiday Catalog.

You get 8 of these for  $5.95 order #127835.

My Product Book shows you all the tags (both front and back)

And here are the rest!

I thank you for stopping by!

Now go shop at www.stampladee.stampinup.net

Remember for each online order, I will put your name in for a monthly drawing for product!

Check List:

1.  Did you "LIKE" my business page – Deb's Stamping Studio

2.  Did you sign up for the Spooktacular Tray class on October 6th (go to my calendar to get the specifics www.stampladee.stampinup.net)

3.  Did you send in your StampCation Form so you can reserve a spot at Stamp Camp on October 27th?

4.  And don't forget Continuing Education Classes are in full swing in Saratoga Springs, Burnt Hills, Scotia and Hoosick Valley!  You don't have to be a resident of the community to attend, just contact the school and they will get you all signed up!

Hope you enjoyed!

It’s time for TEA at StampCation (aka Stamp Camp with a twist)!

Hidy Ho Stampers,

It's been quiet on my blog for the last two weeks but not here in my house!!!  Sale-a-Bration is in full swing and there are no signs of it slowing down this last week of the promotion!  I wanted to share some Stamp Camp pictures with you.  We had so much fun.  The demonstrators that invited their guests and the guests themselves all said the same thing….WOW we love the changes!  With that said…let me show you a few pics…

Well it's almost time to have the guests come and sign in.

Here are a few of the demonstrators ready to register the guests.

Big Shot alley all set up and ready to get down to some serious work!

Here are some of the door prizes.

Each working demonstrator needs to bring a handstamped/created door prize.

These door prizes were unbelievable (we have a very talented group of stampers).  They did a super job.  Besides these door prizes, we had Stampin' Up! products for each guest.  Everyone went home with at least one door prize, some went home with two and three  – ANNNND one lucky door prize winner went home with one of our NEW Diagonal Scoring Plates.

cutest little scrapbook

here is a card holder and a picture frame

l

love this box

annnnnd it was filled with cards – OMG!

this was the cutest little decorated jar – I loved it.

and how stunning this framed piece of art!

So there are some of the highlights of our Stamp Camp.  After camp, I take all the workers out to lunch at our favorite little spot called the Whistling Tea Kettle…how appropriate as our theme for this StampCation was Tea Time!

Oh and how could I forget…I spent the day yesterday making these for the guests that put in a $50 order.  They are tissue holders.  Aren't they the CUTEST little things.  Patsy Waggoner made the top one for me.  I just love mine.  I made 30 of them with our Stampin' Up! fabric.  It was so much fun.

Well, thank you for stopping by.  Back to creating, stamping and having fun!  Stop by again.

 Here I am holding Oscar!

Here is MaryBeth – she's been with our group for almost 12 years!

And Dania got several awards.  She's our star!

Each of them had to walk the red carpet to get their awards.

Congratulations to all the New York Inketts!  We are a fantastic group.

Then we had the judging of our Monthly Challenge.  February's Challenge said they had to create something that was elegant or had to have something to do with Valentine's Day.  So here are the spectacular entries…

This was GORGEOUS.  It was made of felt flowers cut from the Big Shot and were folded and pinned to a wreath.  There is a LOT of work in this piece.  It was GORGEOUS and something that this family can keep for a very long time.

Everyone fell in love with this frame.  LOVE IT!

Look how elegant this box is.  I love the new Bird Die from the Mini Catalog.

And look at all the product on this amazing heart.  WOW what a great job.

And this one was unbelievable.  GREAT JOB on everything about this one.

Make sure you look at all the details that were incorporated into this piece.  It is stunning.

Here's a side view.  I had to show you that she used one of our containers as the middle of the box.

This is so adorable.  It's an M & M container that was decorated for Valentine's Day.

and the beautiful flower that was on top of the M & M's

And now the WINNER of the February Challenge is…………

This GORGEOUS gift for a bridal shower.  It is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING.  It was made with My Digital Studio.  Yes, remember that you too can download My Digital Studio for free until February 29th.  So go to my website and click on SHOP NOW, it's free so when you order it, it will come up to $00.  FREEEEE  Go ahead and try it.  Look at what you can make.
