Mosaic Madness with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,
Needed a thinking of you card today so this is what I came up with…It's got some good dimension and the color that I used here is Elegant Eggplant. I think the stamp set Mosaic Madness lends itself to the Rich Regals suite of colors. Love them with this set. If you like my card, and are on my blog, can you pin it to Pinterest?! Thank you so much! :0)
Simple and Elegant! Look at the cute little pop-up!
I bet you are wondering how i did it :0)
First the Whisper White cardbase is cut 11 by 4 1/4 and folded in half. The next layer is Elegant Eggplant measuring 3 3/4 by 5". My Whisper top piece is 3 1/4 x 4 1/2. Before you run this piece through the embossing folder, stamp the straight line image from the stamp set Mosaic Madness (#130246 wood mount or # 130249 clear mount) - then run it through the embossing folder Modern Mosaic (#129984). Adhere these pieces together.
On a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock, stamp one of the images from the above set FIVE times with Elegant Eggplant classic ink then punch out with the Mosaic Punch (#131267). I need you to punch one more Whisper White mosaic image (which will be used for your base).
To make the medallion on the card, you will need to fold FOUR of the stamp medallions in half the long way. Next glue these four pieces together back to back and then adhere these to the white base. Take this piece and place it in the middle of the straight line stamped image on your card. The remaining stamped image is placed in the upper left corner on one of the coordinatng images that are embossed.
Last but not least, stamp the image "for you" in one of the medallions. This image is from the hostess set Sweetly Framed #129702. If you have a big wish list from this new catalog, why not save up so you can have your own party and get this set as part of your benefits! Email me and I will explain to you what the "sock method" is for saving for your own workshop! It's easy and affordable. Do you need a catalog? Email me and let me know, I will get one right out to you.
And I want to thank you once again for taking time out of your busy day to look at my creations - THANK YOU! I hope you follow me on the following to stay in touch…click here to place your order www.stampladee.stampinup.net !

More with Mosaic Madness…love this set and love the punch and folder that go along with it.
I used the Folder for the background;
stamped the images a couple of times
then punched them out!
(Tip: If you take four of the images and line them up on block I,
you can save yourself stamping time)
I laid out the punched images and used dimensionals on SOME of them.
So some of the images are popped and some are flat – I love dimension!
I punched some Midnight Muse flowers from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch
and topped with a medium pearl.
I also used one of our NEW Hostess Sets – Sweetly Framed
I love the size and the font of this stamp set – you'll see me using it a lot
and it fits perfectly in this folder – too stinken cute!
If you'd like to get the hostess sets but don't want to host a party,
you can get them with your starter kit – heck you can get all this in your starter kit.
Contact me if you are interested in learning more about the opportunity.

Mosaic Madness with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,
I've been having so much fun with my new stamp suite called Quatre Fancy found on page 120 in the new catalog – Oh Oh …you don't have a new catalog? Goodness, contact me and I will get one right out to you!
In the suite, there is a stamp set called "Mosaic Madness" and a coordinating punch called Mosaic – go figure ha ha ha
(if you purchase these together as a "bundle" you will get a 15% discount (#132734 wood mount for $36.50 or #132733 clear mount for $29.50). But it doesn't stop there, there is also a
coordinating embossing folder called Modern Mosaic – go figure! :0)
and the coordinating Designer Series Paper is called Quatrefancy - hmmmm not sure why it's not called Mosaic Madness but we'll go with it! :0)
I needed some thank you cards for some very special people
so I came up with this card.
See the folder? and the stamp set? I used only a portion of the folder.
But I started playing with the rest of the suite and here is a different version…
You can't tell here but I used the punch and punched out the pattern on the folder.
I also used some punchouts for the layering on the bottom.
Here is the layering. See how the folder is punched out?!
Then I had all these punch outs and needed to do SOMETHING
with them so this is what I came up with!!!
Isn't this just beautiful? You can't see it here but I put little pearls on each of the punch outs.
Fun Fun! I can't wait for the new catalog!!!
Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to come and see me!!! Remember to subscribe to the following and keep track of me!

Quilt Card with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,
Well I'm back from Fiji and boy do I have "jet lag"! Getting ready for my Continuing Education class tonight (hope I don't fall asleep on the way there)! It's always so much fun teaching people in the community how to stamp, I'd hate to miss any of it while I was snoozing – wonder if I'd wake up with stamps all over me!?!. :0)
Didn't I tell it was gorgeous. This is from our hotel overlooking the pool and the ocean!
Heaven!
Okay back to some fun stuff. We did a quilt card in one of my clubs this month. So much fun. This was taught to me many years ago by my good friend Jennifer Thomas! She is an amazing stamper and I've learned so much from her.
so how is it done?
First I used a set that is retiring (Spring Sampler #125512 clear mount or #125510 wood mount) and a new set called A Round Array (#129090 clear mount or #129087 wood mount).
Cardstock needed:
Turquoise one 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
whisper White 4 x 10 1/2
Lucky Limeade 3 1/2 x 3 1/2
Scrap piece 3 1/4 x 3 1/4
1/2" strips of Designer Series Paper (I used Sunshine and Sprinkles from the 2013 Spring Catalog)
The card:
Stamp the tulip from the the Spring Sampler set using our Stampin' Up! markers, then punch out with our 1" square punch – MAKE SURE YOU STAMP IT POSITIONED AS A DIAMOND. Punch a square from Tempting Turquoise using our 1/1/4" punch and pop these two together. Now adhere this piece to the CENTER of your 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" scrap (this should be positioned as a diamond onto the larger square).
*Start gluing your strip closest to the turquoise square. Continuing gluing so that you go all the way around the square. Trim off what hangs over the scrap piece.
Your project should look like this at this point:
*Then switch to another design of your 1/2" DSP (you can just flip the double sided paper over) and repeat the process above. Continue this until you have your entire 3 1/4 x 3 1/4" square complete. (Your 3 1/4 x 3 1/4" square will now be completely covered with Designer Series Paper).
Add this to your 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Lucky Limeade square. Next attach that to your Whisper White card (folded in half) and attach that to the Tempting Turquoise base. Finish with your A Round Array piece that was stamped and punched with the 3/4" circle punch and backed with a Lucky Limeade 7/8" Scallop. Tie a ribbon and you have your little medallion.
I hope you missed me while I was gone! Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to stop by. Remember to follow me:

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peeks with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,
So I got a sneak peek at the new catalog last night…OMGosh….that's all I can say. Do you have a Big Shot yet? If not, you BETTER go order one from me now! (www.stampladee.stampinup.net) because there are some AMAZING things in there.
Video here (if you are viewing this in your inbox – make sure you check it out on my blog www.stampladee.com)
SO here is my Sneak Peek Card of the day using the WHITEWASHING TECHNIQUE!
This is going to be a stamp set that will be found in the new
2013 – 2014 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and catalog!
It's called Sketched Birthday, put it on your list NOW as I will be using it a lot.
Lots of layers to this card, dimension – I LOVE it!
I used the WHITEWASH TECHNIQUE and the CHALKBOARD TECHNIQUE here and on the Cupcake Slice.
Stamp the images on your cardstock, (the cake slice was stamped on white cardstock with black embossing powder and the sentiment was stamped on black cardstock with white embossing powder. Then Whitewash both pieces! For the cake slice, color in as the video describes. I added some two-way glue and dazzling diamonds glitter to finish off the slice.
For the sentiment, I used the Chalkboard Technique. I first whitwashed the INVITED letters. Then for the chalkboard technique you can do it one of two ways…click on the link above for the first technique but you can also get that look with the Whitewash Technique. Just run your aquapen with white craft ink over the basic black cardstock and watch it soak into the paper…it DEFINITELY looks like a dirty chalkboard!
Thats it. Isn't it so cute. I added four of the little pearls on the sentiment and oh so cute!!!
Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to look at my blog.
Keep Checking back HERE because I will let you on little snipits each day!!! I love sneak peeks!!!

Best of Flowers with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho and Happy First Day of Spring Stampers!
So what's wrong with this picture?
It's the firsts day of Spring 2013 and there are 12" of fresh new snow.
Where did my crocuses go?
But at least the sun is shining - So happy first day of Spring!
Another card using the Best of Flowers stamp set.
Here I used the Best of Flowers stamp set from Stampin' Up!.
The cardstock is also Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Basic Gray, and Pink Pirouette.
I used the Fancy Fan Embossing folder on the Basic Gray cardstock for some texture.
Sponge around the circle for depth.
The stamps in this set are a miniature of a stamp set
that was previously sold by Stampin' Up!
To put it into perspective,
the card on the left is the original stamp (from Upsie Daisy)
and the one on the right is from Best of Flowers.
See how small and cute that stamp is.
So adorable. Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to stop by my blog! Have a super first day of Spring!

All Dressed Up with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,
So yesterday was St. Patrick's day. What would St. Patrick's Day be at the Valder household without our traditional Shamrock-Shaped Meatloaf and Green Mashed Potatoes for dinner (for normal people it's corn beef and cabbage - well that says a lot about us, we are NOT normal). So take a look.
mmmmmmm
That IS a shamrock!
They were greener than the picture looks! mmmmm
and here is the asparagus with shredded cheese!
Okay down to work! My card of the day today is all about the All Dressed up suite! Today I used only the dress form. I own a real dress form (I call her Lillie) and she goes with me to my "shows". I put all my handmade Jewelry on her to sell. So this dress form suite is near and dear to my heart.
Lillie – I found her at the neatest store in downtown Schenectady, NY.
The store is called Bliss and it's sooooo way cool! I love, love, love her stuff!
The dress form is collaged first. This is how you do it.
Take a piece of cardstock (whisper white or very vanilla) 5 1/2 x 2 3/4. Start ripping Designer Series Paper (I used the Tea For Two pack) and rip them into small pieces. For the next step you will need your Silicone mat because you need to get the snail adhesive close to the edges of the designer series paper. Just randomly rip and stick making sure the dress form fits on your decorated piece! It should look like the picture above.
Next you want to run it through your big shot. Notice I did not cut it square on the page. That is because I wanted certain colors to appear on my card. So you can twist and turn until you see what you like through the framelit. Cool huh?
Supplies used:
Family Reunion stamp set
Stazon Black Ink
Very Vanilla card stock
Basic Black card stock with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder
Basic Gray card stock withe the Striped embossing Folder
Tea For Two Designer Series Paper
5/8" Flower Trim
Dress Up Framelits
Very Vanilla Seam Binding
Scallop Oval Punch
Large Oval Punch (not the wide oval)
Pearls (colored with a sharpie marker)
Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to stop by my blog. I hope you enjoyed it. Don't forget to follow me!
