All Dressed Up with Deb Valder

Hidy Ho Stampers,

Another day and still no baby!  If "Nana" is this anxious, can you imagine mom and dad????  Soooooo patiently awaiting.

Anyway…..Today I'm going to show you how to make this adorable candy holder.  How cute would this be for a bridal shower or a sweet 16 party or a dress up party or…well you get the picture.  This was one of our "Make and Takes" at my Stampin' Up! team get together Sunday.  It was shared by Barb Stomieroski!  She is so stinken talented.

All Dressed Up Candy Holder

It's made with the Dress Up Framelits and

my new favorite In-Color — Pistachio Pudding!

LOVE IT!

All Dressed Up Candy Holder 2

So the first thing I did was to take a piece of Pistachio Pudding that

measured 2 3/4" x 7 1/2" and folded it in half.

Next lay the dress framelit on the FOLD

making sure that the "shoulders" are hanging off the card stock!

The reason you do this is so there is still a fold, you don't want

two separate pieces but you do want one piece that has a fold!

See picture below…

All Dressed Up Candy Holder 3

See, framelit hanging over the folded edge!

Now run it through the Big Shot!

Now you need the little box on the inside.

All Dressed Up Candy Holder 4

Cut a Piece of Pistachio Pudding 3 1/4" x 2 1/4"

and score at 3/4" on all four sides.

Now put the box together……easy peasy!  :0)

To finish off the party favor I ran the dress through the Fancy Fan Embossing folder.

I also stamped the Thank You from Itty Bitty Banners with Pistashio Pudding Ink

and cut it out with the Itty Bitty Framelits.

Added a pearl and wah lah…we are done!

Now that wasn't so hard was it?

All Dressed Up with Deb Valder

Hidy Ho Stampers,

So yesterday was St. Patrick's day.  What would St. Patrick's Day be at the Valder household without our traditional Shamrock-Shaped Meatloaf and Green Mashed Potatoes for dinner (for normal people it's corn beef and cabbage  -  well that says a lot about us, we are NOT normal).  So take a look.

shamrock shaped meatloaf

mmmmmmm

shamrock shaped meatloaf 1

That IS a shamrock!

green mashed potatoes

They were greener than the picture looks!  mmmmm

green asparagas

and here is the asparagus  with shredded cheese!

Okay down to work!  My card of the day today is all about the All Dressed up suite!  Today I used only the dress form.  I own a real dress form (I call her Lillie) and she goes with me to my "shows".  I put all my handmade Jewelry on her to sell.  So this dress form suite is near and dear to my heart.

Lilly

Lillie – I found her at the neatest store in downtown Schenectady, NY.

The store is called Bliss and it's sooooo way cool! I love, love, love her stuff!

dress form card

The dress form is collaged first.  This is how you do it.

dress form 2

Take a piece of cardstock (whisper white or very vanilla) 5 1/2 x 2 3/4.  Start ripping Designer Series Paper (I used the Tea For Two pack) and rip them into small pieces.  For the next step you will need your Silicone mat because you need to get the snail adhesive close to the edges of the designer series paper.  Just randomly rip and stick making sure the dress form fits on your decorated piece!  It should look like the picture above.

dress form 1

Next you want to run it through your big shot.  Notice I did not cut it square on the page.  That is because I wanted certain colors to appear on my card.  So you can twist and turn until you see what you like through the framelit.  Cool huh?

Supplies used:

Family Reunion stamp set

Stazon Black Ink

Very Vanilla card stock

Basic Black card stock with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder

Basic Gray card stock withe the Striped embossing Folder

Tea For Two Designer Series Paper

5/8" Flower Trim

Dress Up Framelits

Very Vanilla Seam Binding

Scallop Oval Punch

Large Oval Punch (not the wide oval)

Pearls (colored with a sharpie marker)

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to stop by my blog.  I hope you enjoyed it.  Don't forget to follow me!

Stamp Camp BLOG

Today's Quick, easy, simple, speedy card is made with one of the stamps from the BEST OF series.  This is a series of stamps that will be rolling out each month for the whole year to Celebrate Stampin' Up!'s 25th Anniversary.  Click here to see more details about the promotion (you'll need to scroll through my dinner pictures first :0).  Anyway, this is the card I made for those that have joined my "Oldies but Goodies" group.  I hand-stamp them a card for each month they buy that stamp set and mail it out to them!  I love this one.

Best of 5

So here is a shot to show you there is a hole in the card :0)!

Best of 1

Flat boring picuture but needed to show you what it looks like closed.

Best of 3

ooooooooooo aaaahhhhhhhhh…see all the layers?

Best of 2

Then when you open it, the stamp is on the back of the card base.

Best of 4

Here are a few pointers.  When you cut out the oval with the NEW Oval framelits, put your base card and your 4" x 5 1/4" together and cut them together.  See more of the directions below.

Best of 6

The size of the black piece that is layered or "sandwiched" in between the white ovals is 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" then I punched out the smallest oval in the set.

Supplies:

Stamps Set:  NEW The Best of Birthdays #132929 clear mount only

Card Stock:  Whisper White and Basic Black

Ink:  VersaMark

Accessories:

NEW #129381 Ovals Collection Framelits (if you buy the Oh, Hello Bundle #131102 wood mount or #131101 clear mount, you will get the bundle which includes the framelits for 15% off)! It's totally worth it.

NEW #127819 Lacy Brocade Textured Embossing Folder (it was the folder that was in the Holiday Catalog and carried over)

#109133 Black Stampin' Embossing Powder

#119859 Extra Large Oval Punch (which coordinates perfectly with this stamp and complements the Ovals Framelits)

#120922 Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon

Dimensionals and Glue Dots were also used (click here to find out how to get all your adhesives in one bundle)

Directions:

Take a piece of Whisper White Card Stock that measure 4 1/4" x 11" and score it at 5 1/2, this will be your base card.

Take a piece of Whisper White Card Stock that measures 4" x 5 1/4" and temporarily adhere this to the front of your base card.  Run it through the Big Shot with the #2 Oval.  Then run this piece through the Big Shot with the Lace Brocade Embossing folder (make sure you do it in this order or your Lacy Brocade design will flatten out a little).  Wrap your 5" piece of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon around this layer.  Put Stampin' Dimensioanls on the back and set aside for just a moment.

Next cut a piece of Basic Black Card Stock that measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and center the smallest oval #1 on this piece of black.  Run it through the Big Shot.  Adhere this to the Base card with snail adhesive (hint open up the card to center see photo #4 above).

Now add the top layer to the base card that has the black oval on it.

On a piece of Whisper White scrap paper, stamp the Best OF Birthday stamp with Versa Mark ink.  Add black embossing powder and heat with your heat tool.  Punch this out with your extra large oval punch.  Put dimensionals on the back.  With the card closed, slide this punched piece through the hole to adhere.

Now add a fork bow and you are DONE!!!!

I thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by and see me!  What a nice person you are!  Thank you and don't forget to get all your stamping supplies at www.stampladee.stampinup.net!  I'd love to have you stop by the store and just shop til you drop.

Grab and Go Bag with Deb Valder

Hidy Ho Stampers,

I've got a very cute card but also something to share with you.

Here are a few questions for you to answer first:

1.  When you've gone to a stamping event, have you ever forgotten something very simple, something that you use all the time?  Something as simple as your Papersnips or your snail?

2.  When you go to a stamping event, do you bring this ENORMOUS bag that can't fit on the table because you need everything in the kitchen sink?  One that has to be put on the floor and you are always fishing down by your feet for your tools to stamp with?

3.  When you sit down at your table, do you have to get up a half million times to get your snail or get your papersnips or get your adhesive remover (you get the picture)?

If you have answered "yes" to even one of these questions, then you need my "Grab and Go" bag.  I have been selling my Grab and Go bags to my customers for a while now and they LOVE them.  They are small enough to fit on the table and it has everything except your New Cutter right at your fingertips.  So now when you are going to an event (stamp class, club, workshop, etc) all you have to grab is your Deb's Grab and Go Bag.

Grab and Go Bag2 Grab and Go Bag

They are small enough to keep right in front of you when you are stamping.  If you are saying "I already have all that stuff", that's fantastic, now you can leave that at home and keep your Grab and Go bag for leaving your house.  I use mine here at the house also.  I put it on my stamping table and start creating with everything right in front of you.  It's so much nicer than getting up every two minutes to get something I forgot to put on the table when I started.

In your bag you will get every adhesive that you will need to complete your project (9 total), an adhesive remover, bone folder, papersnips, silicone sheet, plus a lot of free things that I throw in there for you.  You will get a cute bow and a laminated tag with your name on it (I have so many that have them now that we needed to identify each bag) ANNNNND you get the BAG for free!  The stampers love them. ANNNNNNND if you order before March 22nd, it qualifies you for a Free Sale-a-Bration item (click here to see the items that are available from the Sale-a-Bration flyer).

The cost is $72.30 (plus shipping and tax). If you are out of my area and cannot come to the studio to pick it up, I will have the product shipped to your house directly and I will ship the free bag and free items separately (the pink bag is sold out).  Contact me if you are interested or have any questions!

ANNNNND if you are one of the first 10 people to order yours, I will enter your name in a drawing for a few additional free items (Stampin' Distress Tool, Paper Piercing Tool and one of our Designer Sanding Blocks).  You will LOVE it!

Okay how about another cute SPEEDY CARD, SPEEDY CARD!

Collage Curios

This card has some cute layering going on but you can't see it in this picture.

Secret Garden with Deb Valder

Hidy Ho Stampers,

I've got a really cute fast quick simple adorable card for you today.  Are you ready…okay here we go…..

photo

So what do you think?  So simple, so cute.  I used the Secret Garden Bundle found on page 17 in the "Hello" catalog (aka the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog – there's no name on it so I call it the Hello catalog because that's the only identifying name on the front cover!)  :0) Wasn't that a crazy thing to do, not to name your catalog??? and it's really not spring here in Upstate New York….hmmmm

Any way…..Don't you just LOVE bundles?  It's something new that Stampin' Up! is trying and I love them because you get more bang for your buck…you save 15% if you buy the bundle together.  AND the best part, you don't have to cut out your stamped image because "there's a frame for that"!!!!!  YEAHHHHHHHH  This one is beautiful!  It's crazy to buy just the stamp or buy just the framelit because later on down the pike you are going to say you need the other….so just cave and buy them in a bundle!!!!  You'll be one happy camper!

So what are you waiting for…go to www.stampladee.stampinup.net and get yourself a gift (HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO ME!)

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by and see me!!!  Hope you come back tomorrow!  Speedy Delivery, Speedy Delivery!
