Our last Day in St. George
Hidy Ho Stampers,
The last day of our retreat is always a bittersweet time. It's sad because it's our last full day but it's one of the most fun because of the "LAST NIGHT EXCITEMENT"! At the end of Founder's Circle, there is always a very special event planned. No one knows what it is, where it is or what is planned. So the anticipation of this night is always the most exciting. So here are some pictures of the last day …
So for my last day, I decided to rest by the pool – no I'm not in the picture, I was TAKING the picture (phew) – but here are a few of the other Founders Circle gals – here in front is Tami White. It was truly a beautiful day with sun and warm temperatures. Very relaxing.
Then after getting cleaned up, it was time for the last event. Remember we don't know what it is. We boarded the buses with our "team". I was a Lace Napkin.
We arrived at a GOLF COURSE…yikes, I've never golfed a day in my life but when they told us we could drive a golf cart, I was THRILLED…I just love those things.
I was a pro! I was doing donuts!
So each team started at a different hole. We started at the Marshmallow Drive (hole 1).
Parked our cars…
and now it was time to drive…I lined it up -
took a swing -
and BLASTED IT!!! What form! Tiger Woods eat your heart out!
I shot two times and BOTH times it went PAST the 50 mark. Now remember we are NOT using golf balls – we are using MARSHMALLOWS.
I can't even parallel park a real car let along a golf cart but this was not too bad!
All along the golf course the scenery was breathtaking!
This was my favorite picture. I stopped so long, I lost my team. There was a fork in the road ahead…YIKES where did they go?
At this station, they made me eat a GINORMOUS marshmallow! I'm not even going to attempt to show you those pictures…totally not flattering!
Here's my friend Selma!
Just breathtaking!
All along the course were these HUGE bunny rabbits, they had ears as long as my legs! They were EVERYWHERE!
After we finished with the golf game (and before they told us who won), we had our dinner. Again we sat with our team…remember I'm the Lace Napkins.
We all got a trophy with IN-COLOR markers in it! WOOOO HOOO! It even has my name on it.
Here is my team with Shelli, she sat at our table!
And here is our very first unofficial Advisory Board Picture. What a great team.
When we went back to our room after a super night, we had one more bed gift. Do you see that box? That is our new die for the Big Shot (remember you can get a Big Shot FREE if you contact me)!
inside the box was this absolutely beautiful key chain! It's all full of bling! I just love it.
and on the end was a teacup that has the initials FC on it for Founder's Circle!
They also gave us a bottle of FIGI water…Why you ask? Because FIGI is the next incentive trip we are working to earn. FIGI here we come!
I forgot to show you our two chefs for the week. They were super and made you whatever you wanted for breakfast! This was our last morning but they were here every day.
Here we are at the airport still sharing with each other. This is a quilt a gal made with our Big Shot (you kow the FREE one you can get if you contact me)!
Too cute.
And now on to my next leg of this amazing journey! Advisory Board pictures start tomorrow!
Thank you for stopping by, I will see you tomorrow. Don't forget to sign up for Stamp Camp and don't forget to contact me about the FREE BIG SHOT!
More on the Amazing Trip…FOOD!
Hidy Ho Stampers,
I think I told you that one of the things that we never lacked for on our Founders Trip was FOOD! and SWEET food was the best. Here are some pictures…
Here is the team of gals that put on this event! They do such a great job each and every time! We love you girls. Wait…we are missing Bonnie!
There was a different treat each day…here is day one…
mmmmmmmmmm
Everyday there was a different schedule for us!
Oh my gosh…Eclairs are my FAVORITE!!
Cream Cheese Brownies….oooooo lah lah!!!!
and TARTS!!!!!
can you believe this?!!!
Okay that was each day's treat of the day but it didn't stop there. The hotel fed us a beautiful dinner THEN made this awesome treat.
This is a hard shell of white chocolate then when you cracked inside, there was a ICE CREAM!!!!
I showed you yesterday what the bucket looked like outside, here is what was on the inside…
We had tickets to go to Little Mermaid!!!
What fun we had!
We weren't allowed to take pictures during the production so I took them before to show you the stage. There was REAL water coming down off the mountain and it filled the stage….REALLY!
Two of my very good friends…Georgia and Patsy! Love you gals.
and when we came home there was another gift waiting for us.
hmmmm what was it?
Oh my gosh….it is the most adorable apron. It is made with our new material. There is also a handmade pin on the pocket! The flower is cut from one of our dies from the Big Shot. Remember you can get the Big Shot for free this month by purchasing the starter kit. Contact me and let me know if you are interested.
Thank you for stopping by…see you tomorrow.
More amazing pictures from an amazing trip…
Hidy Ho Stampers,
As promised yesterday, I'm posting more pictures of my Founder's Circle Trip…
So I told you that we always came back to our room at night with a gift on our beds. This one held a SUPER surprise…it was a tease for what we were going to do the next evening.
So it was filled with a handstamped card and a brochure and candy (of course) to see the play "Little Mermaid". Wait until you see where it was and what it looked like. It was outstanding…those pics tomorrow night.
So the next morning, this was Friday Morning, we got up, ate breakfast – mmmmmm – then boarded the buses to head off to Knab where the Stampin' Up! manufacturing plant is. Hi girls. Did you notice everyone EVERYONE is smiling…this is such a special trip.
And to make the time go faster, we play BINGO with prizes and had raffle tickets and the "snack basket". FUN FUN…the time just flew by.
When we arrived at the office, we were greated with workers that held signs..it made me cry (good tears)!
And then of course what would a Stampin' Up trip be without your picture at the Rock!
This is what the manufacturing plant looks like in Knab. This is where they MAKE all our stamps. Isn't it beautiful?!
And Shelli and I are in the apartment they built right in the manufacturing plant. Now she and her family have a place to stay when they come to Knab to work and to see their family. She still has lots and lots of family that still live here.
After we visit the plant, we always stop by the playground that was donated by Stampin' Up! It's just beautiful here. This is where we stop and eat lunch.
Every year our lunches are packed in a unique container, this year it was in an adorable basket.
And look at the adorable linen napkin/towel. I just love it.
Oh and here is my friend Jan…what the heck does she have in her mouth?
After we leave the playground, we always stop by a little WigWam Store. Instead of going in this time, I walked down the street and met a new friend at the restaurant…I decided to stop in…
And look who wanted to seat me! So cute (well sort of)…
Well that was the first part of our day and here are all the little goodies I got from tha trip…that is DSP, a stamp set and new ribbon. OH WOW!
So tomorrow I will finish this day out. It was so much fun…
Thank you for stopping by, I'll share more tomorrow.
Such an amazing trip…
Hidy Ho Stampers,
I just wanted to share some pictures with you in the next few days of an amazing trip I had. First I was honored to be part of a group that are in the top 100 demonstrators in Stampin' Up. We went to Founders Circle in St. George Utah. It was five days of fun and surprises. So here we go…
So here is the door going into the hotel. Did I tell you that the we occupied the whole hotel? Look at the doors, those are Decor Elements on steroids! It was beautiful.
And here are three of us that earned the trip and look behind us on the window…MORE decor elements on steroids! They were beautiful.
This was the sign on my door, it's now in my stamp room. I just love it.
Every day we got to play a game called Plinko. We won a prize every day. It was always Stampin' Up product. HOW FUN – oh dear - the suitcase needs more room!
How beautiful is this…there is always a "first night dinner", this is the way the room was set up. It was GORGEOUS and that is putting it lightly.
The theme this year was Tea Time. We each received our own tea cup that was filled with roses and our name. Do you recognize the tag? It's in our catalog. Leave a comment on my blog and tell me where it is in the catalog and what the name is and I will enter your name in a drawing for a free set of those…so what is it?
Oh and another surprise is when we get back to our rooms at night, there is ALWAYS a bed gift. This was the first gift…it's one of our boxes…yes these are in the catalog also. They can be used for anything but are used best with our Big Shot dies. This one was decorated and inside…..
look at all the cool stuff!!! The first night it was filled with all our make and take supplies.
This is the first morning. It has become tradition to eat our breakfast outside. It was so much fun and at home (in New York) they had the heat on! YIKES. It is so gorgeous here in southern Utah and the sun and temperature make it even more awesome.
Okay so we eat a lot. Here we are at lunch.
and here we are doing our make and takes with Shelli. There is Patsy Waggoner, Jan Burnett, Mary Fish, Shelli, me and Linda Heller. Man do they stamp fast.
One of my most favorite things of the whole week is when we have our Pajama Party/Business Share night. These are the jammies that my good friend Nancy McKenney made for me. Do you remember the ones she made last year? She is soooooooo talented. She asked me what the theme was and then went to work on them. This was her creation and boy did she outdo herself!
And here is the back.
Here are a few of us on the couch eating again and still in our jammies!
Linda Heller and Susan Nygaard – two very very good friends…I just love them to pieces.
Here are six of the eight new Advisory Board members. This was our first unofficial picture in our jammies.
And here is Jan having fun swapping. Remember we had to make 125 swaps this year.
Yikes…caught!
Thank you for stopping by…come back tomorrow for more pictures and samples.
Heat Embossing Tips…
Hidy Ho Stampers,
Today I wanted to show you some great heat embossing tips…
I'm in the middle of (actually I'm almost done) with my swaps that I'm making for Founder's Circle. We have to make 123 swaps so I've been working on them for a little while. It was a great weekend to stay in and stamp. Here is what it looks like all set up. I'm embossing one part of the card.
Here's my Daisy #2 Die flowers all ready for the next phase (I'm going to sponge and curl them next.
Anway, when you emboss your paper does it ever curl and take on the "wave" after you Emboss your image? I used the Field Flower stem and embossed it with Versa Mark ink then sprinkled it with our new Wild Wasabi embossing powder.
If your cardstock curls, just take your heat gun and heat it UNDERNEATH for just a moment and it will straighten it right back out.
so it lays flat….then when you are done and hungry, you can use your embossing tool for your lunch, yes, I said for your lunch!!!
This is my roast beef and swiss cheese sandwich on whole wheat before….
and here is my sandwich after! The heat tool is a GREAT cheese melter. Anyone that knows me knows that I don't really like raw cheese (aka cheese that is not melted). So instead of putting this under the broiler, it just takes seconds to run your heat gun over it and it melts PERFECTLY!!!! I love to multitask…you can work and eat at the same time!
And don't forget TODAY is the last day of the Mini Catalog and the last day of our SUPER sale on Designer Series Paper…make sure you put your orders in today! Click here to shop online!
Ahhhhhhhh thank you for stopping by! :0) Enjoy every minute of this day!
FUN FUN MAIL!
Hidy Ho Stampers,
I really miss my old UPS driver…he was so on time…every day I would be in my stamp room and just like clockwork at 10:20 (not 10:19, not 10:21) right at 10:20 the little brown truck would drive in the driveway and deliver my Stampin' Up! boxes. But nooooooo, I have a new driver and he comes anywhere from 11:30 to 5:00….argh!!! Today he flew in here at 4:30. So it was a little better when I saw what he delivered…not only did he deliver one of my orders but he delivered THIS….
Okay okay so it is a little beat up…my other driver would have handed it to me. I think it ended up this way because the driver came in the driveway so fast!!!!…do you think he thought the "Express" meant he had to drive FAST? hmmmmmm
Anyway…it was FUN mail…I was so excited because it came from Morris Meetings which is Stampin' Up's Travel Agency…Look at what was inside!!!!!
Is this the most stinken cute thing you've ever seen?!!!!! Look it matches the purses we got at Convention!
Oh my gosh…..how awesome is that….and inside….
were my travel documents for Founder's Circle and for the Advisory Board Retreat coming up in September. I'm so stinken excited!!!! I've already started my swaps (I know I know…who would have thought I would have started them already but I had a vision in the middle of the night and got up and put it on paper!!!!)eeeeeeek I 'm so excited I just can't wait!
Anyway…now for today's card pick…this is a card that I'm doing tomorrow at my VIP stamping day. Some very special ladies are coming over to stamp and this is one of the cards I created for them. I hope they like doing it. It's done with my new favorite stamp called Field Flowers. LOVE LOVE LOVE the set. How about you?
Don't forget to stock up on our Designer Series Paper, time is running out to get that great special – buy three get one free. Contact me if you have any questioons but HURRY!!!! it's almost over. Also if you'd like one of our Ribbon Samplers, let me know and I will add your name to the list! Take care.

Stampin’ Up! and Knitting??
Hi ladies,
I've started my 12th year with Stampin' Up! and I often ask myself why I just love this business so much. The answer is easy, there is something new every day. You never get bored because it changes all the time. Just when you think you know it all or when you've seen everything, something new pops up. We've seen that trend with Stampin' Up! and our fabric items, now it's spilled over into knitting. My friend Jan Burnett is showing us how she KNITS our buttons together to make wearable jewlery. Yes, I said KNITS!
Here is Jan and Selma laying the stuff out.
This is what it will look like when it's done. These are our NEW buttons.
She lays them all out, strings them onto a special knitting wire and knits away!!! Oh my gosh.
And going along with that, I just have to show you this card that I got in my Founders Circle Swap. It's KNITTED!!! :0)
Isn't this the cutest card. It's made with a stamp set called Hand Knit (#117012 wood mount or #120507 clear mount) found on page 65 of the big Stampin' Up! catalog. She used tooth picks and beads for the knitting needles and she actually knitted the little pieces to put on the toothpicks. She layered this on the Daffodil Delight cardstock that was run through the Square Lattice Folder (#119976).
If you do not have a demonstrator or if you are one of my customers and would like to order any of these items, I'd be happy to help. Just contact me at stampladee@aol.com or shop online 24/7 in my store at www.stampladee.com or http://stampladee.stampinup.net.
Let me know if you have any questions. Have a great evening.
Founder’s Circle Day 4
Hi ladies,
Well it is day 4, our last full day of Founder's Circle. In the morning we had some "free" time so a lot of us hung out in the Gathering Room. I needed to work on my Make and Takes, others were working on My Digital Studio or just talking "shop". It was just fun connecting with other demonstrators.
I did my make and takes with these gals.
Girls working on and learning the in's and out's of My Digital Studio.
Every day in the gathering room there was a "special treat of the day". It started out with carmel apples on Wednesday, HUGE cookies on Thursday, ENORMOUS danish on Friday and these delightful donuts on Saturday. I was good, I only looked!
But I did try to take a bite of Dawn Griffith's! mmmmmm
Then it was time to put on those Pink Shirts and take off on the bus for our SURPRISE destination. Now we all thought we were going bowling because of the shirts! Were we right?
Sara and Shalea. Aren't they just the cutest!
And here was our table. The decorations are such a big part of this event!
Here's a bigger picture of the table.
mmmmmmm
We sat with our group – we were the Taffeta's, you probably remember that from my first night postings.
Here is Shelli welcoming everyone.
Food Table.
Here we are after we bowled! It was the first time I EVER Wii Bowled! I was surprisingly good! I came in second in our group. I don't think I've laughed that hard in such a long time!
Here is one of my shots! Not bad huh!
And YES we did win a prize! …..
It was the prize for the group with the LOWEST score! Who cares!!!! We still got a prize! :0)
When we got back to the hotel, here is our last pillow gift….
It's a gorgeous sweater. It has our ribbon and there is a logo on the arm…made from rubber and it says Stampin' Up! SOOOOOOO neat!
Anyway, it was a blast!
Good night.
