More on Stamp Camp

Hi ladies,

Rainy day again today!  But that's great stamping weather.  I wanted to share some more doorprizes that we had at Stamp Camp yesterday.

This was created by Susan Birbilis, one of our team members, she does a lot for our group.  She stamped the tile with Stazon Ink and then filled it in with Craft Ink.  While it was still wet, she used Glassy Glaze and heated it.  HURRY, Glassy Glaze is on the Last Chance Accessories List!  She added a plate holder, dry erase marker and eraser to complete this awesome wipeoff board.

This tile is so elegant.  It' is done with one of our Decor Element Stencils, Craft Ink and Glassy Glaze (HURRY, Glassy Glaze is on the Last Chance Accessories List)!  This was made by Nancy McKenney.  She is a fantastic stamper and a great part of our Demo Team.   LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!

Hurry, if you look at the Last Chance Lists, they are getting slimmer and slimmer…it's WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!  So don't wait….put your order in NOW…go to my website http://stampladee.stampinup.net  and put in your orders.

ALSO….the time is running out for the $99 Special SUPER Kit.  Contact me if you'd like details!  You can't beat it!  You get all the new stuff at a discount!

Hope you like what I shared…enjoy your evening.

Chunky Frames

Hello Stampers,

I told you I would show you  the things we made at my Stamping Diva Day.  So here they are:

Here is one of our Chunky Frames found on the second page of our Definitely Decorative Book #2.  This simple white frame is very impressive.  It is an ideal canvas  to embellish with Decor Elements, Decor Stencils or other embellishments.  What you see here (above) is the chocolate Decor Element found in this same book.  This one is called Ornate Flower.  They are so easy to make.  The Decor Element just rubs on the piece you are working with.  Easy and elegant!   They are thick enough to stand on their own on a shelf or you can hang them on a wall.

I taught the Diva's how to Stencil on their frames.  They LOVED it!  It was done with craft ink and embossing powder.  This one used So Saffron and More Mustard ink.  GORGEOUS.

Here is what they look like together.

And here is closeup of the stenciled frame.

You can order these anytime!  Just click on the SHOP NOW button on this blog!  If you have any questions, let me know.  I'm making three frames for my son who is graduating from the South Dakota School of Mines May 8th with his PhD in Geological Engineering.  We are so proud of him.

Enjoy your evening.

Diva Day Surprise…

My "New Collections Table" was filled with our new colors and food to match.  It was such a hoot and I was cracking myself up at the grocery store!  Trying to remember all the new colors and foods to match.  Now I just have to learn to spell them.  Okay so here we go…

Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke

Peach Parfait, Melon Mambo and Perfect Plum

We have Crumb Cake and Early Espresso with Old Olives (the olives are really new but the color is called "old" you understand).  Do you see the Cake Plate?  Do you see the Chalkboard Decor Elements, these are the oval Chalkboard Labels you will see in the new Summer Mini. So cute.

And here we have Concord Crush, Pear Pizza and Tangerine Tango, and Chocolate Chip

Daffodil Delight

Now there is one treat that never made it to our new Collections Table…that one landed UPSIDE down on the door of my oven (okay so I never said I was a cook…I STAMP)!  So this is what it looked like before I scrapped it off!  Now I have to go clean the oven - argh!

And here is what the sign looked like on the Collections Table..

So this was our New Collections table.  Stay tuned.  Tomorrow I will show you the pictures of the projects we did!  I think you are going to like them.

Diva Day Projects

The projects we did on Saturday were amazing.  We did more stenciling.  I love to stencil.  New stencils, new stuff, great fun… here are a few of the girls having fun at Diva Day!

Check back later and I'll show you what we made and how we made them!

Enjoy your eveing.

More about our colors

Good morning ladies,

I want to tell you that we also have FIVE new "In Colors" coming.  I love the names and can't wait to see what they look like.

 Blushing Bride
 Concord Crush
Peach Parfait
 Pear Pizzaz
 Poppy Parade

I'm thinking that Blushing Bride is a whitish pink; the Concord Crush is a PURPLE; the Peach Parfait is something like Blush Blossom (we need a flesh color); Pear Pizzaz might be a greenish color; and I'm just not sure about the Poppy one…that's what my kids called my father-in-law…so that one I'm just not sure – maybe black like poppy seeds??  I can't wait…this is like Christmas!  and the excitement begins.  Email me with what YOU think the colors will be and we'll see who is the closest.  FUN FUN!

Okay a few announcements and then more samples….

Remember my Challenge on March 18th?  How many items are used from the Occasions Mini Catalog on this card?  Well we had 58 submissions, how fun is that?  And the winner is….DRUM ROLL PLEASE…

MAGGIE DOYLE!

Congratulations Maggie. So here is what she came up with…

Picture This Stamp Set

Fine Flourish Stamp set

Butterfly Accent Stamp Set

Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch

Sending Love Brads – Chocolate Chip

Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper

Eggcellent Eggs Kit

annnnd one thing none of the others came up with was the CLEAR BLOCKS!!!  How smart is that!  Of course the clear blocks were used!

A very common mistake on a lot of the entries was the Extra Large Bird Punch(petals behind the flower)…that was not used on Amy's card.  It was the Five Petal Punch but can't be counted because it was not in the mini catalog.    Another popular choice was the Beautiful Wings Embosslet but that was NOT used.  It was the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Dies on page 198 of the big catalog for the butterfly.

Oh my gosh that was fun!!!  Took me longer than I thought to go through all of them so thank you for your patience!  :0)  Maggie will receive the Fresh Cuts Stamp Set!  YEAH again Maggie and thank you to all who entered.

Okay and the next winner is……

For my MARCH ONLINE Order drawing….the winner is….

LYNETTE BUCCI

YEAH Lynette!  You are the winner of the Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware !  WOW!!!  Congratulations.

Remember at the end of the month, I put all names in a hat (well a basket) for all online orders for that month.  Each month I pull a name and they are the winner of the Online Orders!

Okay so get ordering for the month of April because you will REEEEEALLY want what I have as a prize this month!  YEE Ha….

Here is another FREE Door Prize from the Spring Stamp Camp.  I wish this picture came out a little clearer.  It is a beautiful wooden tray with a Decor Element on the bottom.  Inside the tray it was FILLED with handstamped items.  It was GORGEOUS!

Here was a gorgeous travel mug decorated with our Tea Party Designer Series Paper and with this gift was a note pad and matching pen! The gal that won this was SUPER excited!

Thank you ladies for hanging in there…chat tomorrow.

eeeeeeek!!!! I’m sooooooo excited!

okay onto the next…

CLEAR MOUNTED STAMPS

So what is your take on our new Clear Mount Stamps?  Stampin' Up! has given you a choice.  The choice is Wood Mount or Clear Mount.  My new favorites are the clear mount.  I have a lot of unmounted stamps (I get so many free ones from Stampin' Up!) I don't always have time to mount them which has turned out to be a great thing.  I'm going to show you how to take your unmounted WOOD MOUNT stamps and turn them into CLEAR MOUNT stamps.  It's so much fun and so fast.

okay so the first thing you want to do is pop out your rubber image and remove the sticker from the sticker sheet.

Next you will put the sticky side up on the sticker and the foam down.  Line up the image and lay your stamp on the sticker sheet.

Turn over your piece and trim the clear sticker off. (Trim around it like you used to do when we had to cut stamps out)!

Do this to all your pieces before you go to the next step.

Next you are going to need your Tombow "Green Glue".  Optionally you can use a foam brush but don't absolutely need it.  See the next picture for details.

Next you are going to spread the glue evenly over the entire stamp.  After you've done that for all the pieces, set them aside for at least 24 hours.  After that, the glue will be sticky but will not stick permanently!   It works perfect….and that's my tip for today!

Now on to more pictures from Stamp Camp

Here's our welcoming committee!!!  Hi Sue and Marlene!

Here are two more FREE doorprizes!  Aren't they just beautiful!!!  What an awesome job the girls did…remember every stamp camp atendee got to take home a doorprize!

And last show and tell for today is this beautiful card made by Pat Dover.  She attended one of my classes on flowers and she adapted it to this birthday card for her friend Linda.  She used the round punch and STICKY PAGES!!!!  It's a cool technique.

Enjoy your day ladies, I'm not sure where you are in the country today but on the 7th of April, 2010, it's going to 80 degrees here in NEW YORK in APRIL!  How cool is that (I mean how HOT is that)!  Enjoy.

Changes on my blog…

There is so much that I've changed on my blog.  If you only receive "feeds" from my blog, make sure you actually go to it and see the new projects on the right sidebar and some of the promotions.  Click here for a direct link.

Check out the new Clearance Rack.

Check out the new DVD's that you can get for joining my team.

And look at our new promotion.  This stamp set can be yours for FREE.  Check out my right side bars on my blog for details.

And don't forget to check out how to get 20% off a select set of stamps!

And here is another FREE gift from our Spring Stamp Camp held on March 27th.   This is a tile that is made with the stencils that can be found on the last page of the Definitely Decorative Supplement.  It is from the Elegant Trio collection ($9.95 118262 – for a set of 3 stencils).  You sponge on craft ink, sprinkle with #100477 Glassy Glaze Enamel Powder, then bake in your oven and embellish as you wish.  These are beautiful gifts.

Here was another one of the FREE giveaways.  It's an Easter Basket FILLED with handstamped gifts.  Many of the embellishments came from the Eggcellent Eggs Kit found on page 23 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The stamper that recieved this gift could not believe it was all for  her!  She was so excited.

Okay, that's it for today…I'll show you more tomorrow.

Kits to Go – my first one…

There are limited days until these items will be gone from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  Today I'm featuring the calendars (very affordable) found on page 14 AND the Decor Elements Blocks found on page 30 in the Holiday Mini.

I'm offering a KIT TO GO class – you need to preorder it by WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 30th.  The cost of the class is $25.  You will receive all the pieces to complete your calendar project and the instructions on how to assemble.  It's that easy!  So HURRY!!!!  Email me if you'd like to place your order at stampladee@aol.com !

This adorable project shows three months at a time.  When the month is done, you just turn the block (like a rubrics cube) always displaying the next three months.  The project only took a half hour to make and it is tied up with our 1 1/4" Striped Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon found on page 183 of the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog.

The calendar alone shows the month on one side and a pattern on the other.  It includes 12 calendar sheets and 1 raw chipboard easel (shown on the left in the picture aove).  The Decor Elements Blocks (shown in the picture on the right) includes four smooth natural wood 3" blocks.  There is no sanding required.  I've purchased several sets for an upcoming class!  Make sure you get yours NOW before they are gone for good!

I hope you like today's project…let me know if you have any questions and remember, if you'd like the kit, order is NOW!!!

I’m in love…

I am totally in love with the Stencils found in the Definitively Decorative Brochure.  If you don't have one of these catalogs, contact me and I will send one right out to you.  In the meantime, you can see them here, click on the catalog on the right side of this blog (Definitely Decorative).  The stencils are found on pages 28-31…but…there is also a little twist to it…so make sure you read to the end.  I'm sooooooo excited.

Back in November, I had my Diva Day with my top demonstrators for sales.  On that day I treated them to a day of stamping and product.  They went home (hopefully) filled with ideas to build their business.  We all had a great time.  Anyway, in November, I focused on Stencils (see my previous post about stenciling).

For my December clubs this year, we've been doing Stenciling.  They are alllllll in love with it and I'm an addict.  I've discovered (and I have not heard of this anywhere else – does not mean it's not been done) but this is my own doing…I just love what I've discovered.

If you don't have the stencils (and I'm still in love with them from the catalog) but if you don't have them, you can make your own!!!  Yes YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN with our Stampin' Up! product.

You can use the Window Sheets found on page 158 of the Idea Book and Catalog.  There are two weight levels and I use them both for different reasons.  There is the Medium Window Sheet and there is the Thick Window Sheet.  Here are some projects that I've done with both of these sheets.

Thick Window Sheets

Medium Window Sheet

Aren't they pretty (I'm so proud of myself).  Okay so how do you do it?  The first one is done with the Big Shot and the dies and uses the Thick Window Sheets.  I like the thick sheets because it protects the details of the design.  The Medium weight ones are a little flimsier and don't hold the detail as well.

Here is how you do it…

Supplies:

113439 Big Shot – ON SALE FROM ME FROM December 11th to December 22nd! $79.95 (regularly $99.95 a savings of $20) page 194

113457 Tulipe Bigz Die page 198

105122 Handsome Hunter Cardstock page 157

102851 Basic Black Cardstock page 155

100730 Whisper White Cardstock page 155

105215 Handsome Hunter Classic Ink Pad page 157

102532 Sage Shadow Classic Ink Pad page 157

101610 Stamping Sponges page 192

109521 En Francais stamp set page 134

114365 FYI stamp set page 144

115026 Lovely as a Tree page 110

115108 Warm Words page 141

115615   1 1/4 striped Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon page 183

109027  1/4 Basick Black Grosgrain Ribbon page 183

102394 Stampin' Mist (empty this out into the large refill bottle) page 190

116806 Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint found on page 27 of the Holiday Mini Catalog

109867 gold elastic cord page 27 of the Holiday Mini Catalog

107289 Medium Whisper White square envelopes

Okay, I think that is all of it…so how do we make it!

 DSC09944

You will need your big shot (ON SALE FROM ME FROM DECEMBER 11 to DECEMBER 22nd for only $79.95), the thick window sheet and the Tulipe die.  Run it through your machine  (I cut my window sheet the same size as the die.)  There is a blue piece of paper on the window sheet both sides, don't take that off until after you run it through the machine.

DSC09932

First I use painters tape and tape the edges of my cardstock to the grid sheet.  Then postion the newly made stencil over the cardstock and tape that down also.  Sponge your first color on.  In this case I used Sage Shadow.  I used the Color Coach for help with color combos.

DSC09933

Now we are going to add the Handsome Hunter.  This is the WOW part of this technique.  Here is a tip for yousomething that I've always done.  Do you see my stamp pads?  In the well of the pad I use a Sharpie Marker and write in what the color of the pad is.  If it wasn't written there, the two pads look identical because they are both green and dark. With this identification, it's so much easier to identify them and not get the colors mixed up.  Anyway, that was just my little tip for you today.  Now onto the techinque.  Take your Handsome Hunter sponge and start rubbing the edges of the stencil.  I leave the middle of the project the original color.  It gives it dimension and it's soooo pretty.

DSC09936

WOW!!!!  Isn't that gorgeous!!!  Add your sentiment from the FYI set and the Handsome Hunter ink.  I then inked up the EnFrancais stamp in Sage Shadow and stamped it over the entire project.

Adhere your white the black cardstock and then your ribbon.

Now assemble the rest of the card.  For this particular card I used a 10 1/2 by 5 1/2 card (so it will fit in our square envelopes).  The next layer is Basic Black and that is 5 x 5 and the last layer is Whisper White 4 3/4 x 4 3/4.

The final touch is the spritzing of the card with the shimmer paint.  The BEST spritzer is the Stampin' Mist Bottles.  I've used a number of different bottles for spritzing but these are the best.  I emptied out three bottles into the large refill bottle and had three empty containers.  I then filled each container with Rubbing Alcohol and added 1/4 teaspoon of Champagane Mist to the first bottle (and LABELED IT); then the next bottle I filled with alcohol and 1/4 teaspoon of Frost White and the last one with a quarter teaspoon of Platinum.  OOOOOLALA!  Spritz your card all over…go ahead, don't be afraid…just do it!  If you like it keep going spray your face, and clothes…sorry, got carried away!  :0)

Next card…I just love that we can use the punches to make stencils!!!  YES LADIES…USE YOUR PUNCHES FOR STENCILING.   Here we go…

DSC09938

You will need a punch (in this case the ornament punch/,  the Medium weight Window sheet and your card materials.

I use the medium weight with our punches because it's easier on the punches.  You just have to be a little more careful around the edges when sponging.  You follow the same procedure above to achieve the look of this card.  It looks SOOOOOO elegant.  It's NOT a punched or stamped card…it's stenciled czard and it is VERY ELEGANT!  I am in love!  OOOOOO LA LA!

DSC09941

Make sure you leave the center with the sage…it's SOOOO beautiful.  Also when punching this out of the window sheet, make sure you leave enough room around the window sheet to COVER the cardstock  (I made mine 5 3/4 x 4 1/2) so that when you rub the ink on your cardstock, you're not going to run over the window sheet and onto the cs (the window sheet covers all of the cardstock…am I oversaying this?).

DSC09943

Don't you just love it.  I do.  SPRAY THE HECK out of this with the Shimmer Spray.  And make sure you buy LOTS of bottles of the shimmer paint, it's no longer going to be available after this mini catalog that we know of.

Ahhhhh I'm so please with my cards today.  Make sure you check here Wednesday so you can see what I did with the SNOWFLAKE PUNCH!   eeeeeeek

Okay before I go and clean up my MESS :0)  I wanted to give you three more tips.

The first is DON'T forget to do you envelope…ohhhhh how beautiful the outside of your envelope is with this same technique.

Next…you may want to purchase a set of the large Craft Keepers on page 203.  These hold your new stencils so they don't get bent and squished.

And last…make sure you put a little sticker on the punched or die cut sheets in the corner…They are clear and you LOSE them if you don't!  I sat on mine!!!  Yes yes…i told you I had to go and clean up my stamp room!  YIKES!

So one more thing…I told you about my 12 days of Christmas Special I have the Big Shot on sale for you for only $79.95 (a 20% savings for a total of $20 off).  Hurry, that will be ending soon.

ANNNND, here are the specials for Stampin' Up!  Their 12 Days of Christmas Special Dies are on sale…here they are…so my special and their special!!!  WHAT A DEAL!!!!
