Making Tins with Deb Valder

Hidy Ho Stampers,

I just have to tell you that the STORM IS COMING!!!!  Snow in the Northeast….fun fun fun!~~  It's such a great stamping day.  So here is what I have for you today…

These are the tins that I just can't stop making.  The first ones I made were for my fellow Advisory Board gals and also for the gals that went to the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida this past January Those were the ones on the left.  Aren't they cute!  Then I did a Valentine's Day class and we did the ones on the right.  We used lots of product from the Spring Mini Catalog.  So what's inside???

Actually you can put just about anything in there.  For my downline I put a "Survival Kit" in there.  While they were at Leadership they could have three bandaid incidents, one mending incident, two issues with their breath, one hangnail, they could blow their nose three times and could write countless notes on their post-it notes!  Then at my Valentine's Day class we covered nuggets with labels after stamping ANNNNNNNND I've been using them to organize my desk and Stamping Bag!  See the paperclips?!!!  So you can use these little tins for just about anything!!!!  and they are so stinken cute to make!!!!

Core’dinations Creations

First I just have to share this with you.  It's too stinken cute and soooooooo appropriate for our stampers!

how cute is that?

So today I wanted to share another product that we have in the new Mini/Maxi/Holiday Catalog.  It can be found on page 6.  It's called Core'dinations Cardstock.  It's an 80lb SANDABLE cardstock to create an antiqued, distressed and color-popping look. 

This new item comes in three colors -

#127846 Cherry Cobbler,

#127848 Early Espresso and

#127847 Gumball Green. 

You can sand, tear or distress to get different looks.  The inside layer is monochromatic.  So if you want to sand, you will want to run it through one of our FABTABULOUS embossing folders then sand over the raised pattern.  The next thing you may want to do is to use our Core-dinations Dust Buddy with it.  After sanding, you've got all this fluffy colored dust!  when you swipe this tacky cloth across your finished piece, you will pick up all the unwanted fluff.  I also swipe it along my working area so that the fluff does not get into my new stamp pads.  It works terrific.

Up Up and Away!!!!

Just a quick post today.  I wanted to show you a card stack that I do for my Monthly Stamp a Stack Class.  I do them usually the third Thursday of the month – three different classes, one at 10:00 a.m., one at 1:00 p.m. and one at 7:00 p.m.  They are very well attended and need to have an RSVP from you.  If you can't make it and still want to do it, just email me that you want the "Show on the Go" class kit.

Howling Good Time and new class on schedule!

As promised, I wanted to show you what a howling good time we had yesterday.  I invited all the guys and gals that recruited a friend and that friend that was recuited was also invited to my stamping studio for a fun day of stamping.  Each of these stampers earned a Halloween Tray that was worth $60 in product.  So we put them together … TOGETHER!!!  Here is what the finished product looked like:

Simple is so Sweet – Simply Sweet!

Here is a few pictures of yesterday's cards but it show the "windows" a little better.

I made a template so it's very easy to reproduct this style card.

And here is a note card with the Perfectly Preserved set.  I made up 10 of these, stamped the envelopes and wrapped them with ribbon to give to a good friend that is headed off to school today. She teaches.  What a fast, fun and very useful gift!

An Apple a Day…

Boy it feels good to be back! I took a lot of the summer off to just enjoy and travel. Labor Day is a day to relax (we did that up at Lake George New York today) and reflect on all that you didn't get done this summer! Boy I didn't have to do that, I got a LOT done! So I'm anxious to get back to blogging and sharing what I just love to do. There will be some changes in the next month or so so stay tuned and see what is happening! It's all so exciting.

Since September is the time that school starts back up, I thought I would focus on school, apples and stamping! So here we go…

first we needed to go get the apples…well living in Upstate New York, we couldn't just go BUY them, we needed to PICK them. Okay…

argh…so close yet so far away! Being short is only good when you are on a plane!

SUCCESS! Got my apple! and it's a beauty!

Now we need to make a card. We can't send our child to school with an apple and no card. So here we go…

This is what I came up with. I know it doesn't look like it but the jar is cut out with our framelits and there is a "window" to the inside of the card.

Can you see it? It's so adorable in person.

So I started with a Whisper White card base, a layer of Early Espresso and More Mustard then I added some of our Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper (GORGEOUS).

I cut the jar with our new Cannery Set Framelits.

This is one of the cards that I will be doing in my September 17th Perfectly Preserved Bundle Class. Since this is a product based class, make sure you sign up no later than September 8th for the class so I can order and prep for you. You will learn how to make this "window" card and lots more.

Were you smilen’ without me yesterday?

Well yesterday was a very busy day, getting lots of stuff ready for my upcoming trip to Utah for the Stampin' Up! Annual Convention. Ohhhhhhh what fun we have at convention!!!  Anyway, I'm sharing my Reason To Smile cards with you again today.  Here is my latest card.  I did this in my Stamp a Stack class today.

Here is the outside.  I used the reverse of the Fancy Fan Folder. 

I love using it both ways.
