All Dressed Up with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,
Another day and still no baby! If "Nana" is this anxious, can you imagine mom and dad???? Soooooo patiently awaiting.
Anyway…..Today I'm going to show you how to make this adorable candy holder. How cute would this be for a bridal shower or a sweet 16 party or a dress up party or…well you get the picture. This was one of our "Make and Takes" at my Stampin' Up! team get together Sunday. It was shared by Barb Stomieroski! She is so stinken talented.
It's made with the Dress Up Framelits and
my new favorite In-Color — Pistachio Pudding!
LOVE IT!
So the first thing I did was to take a piece of Pistachio Pudding that
measured 2 3/4" x 7 1/2" and folded it in half.
Next lay the dress framelit on the FOLD
making sure that the "shoulders" are hanging off the card stock!
The reason you do this is so there is still a fold, you don't want
two separate pieces but you do want one piece that has a fold!
See picture below…
See, framelit hanging over the folded edge!
Now run it through the Big Shot!
Now you need the little box on the inside.
Cut a Piece of Pistachio Pudding 3 1/4" x 2 1/4"
and score at 3/4" on all four sides.
Now put the box together……easy peasy! :0)
To finish off the party favor I ran the dress through the Fancy Fan Embossing folder.
I also stamped the Thank You from Itty Bitty Banners with Pistashio Pudding Ink
and cut it out with the Itty Bitty Framelits.
Added a pearl and wah lah…we are done!
Now that wasn't so hard was it?
Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to look at my post! I so appreciate it. Remember to subscribe to me on any and all of the following! I love to have you stalk me! :0) and if you need supplies, please head on over to my online store at wwww.stampladee.stampinup.net!

50% 0ff Sale with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,
Lots of pictures today and a free scissor holder! Hope you enjoy..
You may be aware of Stampin' Up!'s 50% off Fabric Frenzy. All SU Fabric is 50% off while supplies last. Here are just SOME of the things you can do with our Big Shot dies and fabric and a lot of them are NOT sewn together but using our adhesives, you can make some amazing projects!
So here is our first NO SEW project! These were made for me by my amazing daughter-in-law (she gave them to all her bridesmaids and the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom)! It was so much fun for all of us to receive these. They are made from our Stampin' Up! fabric ripped into strips and tied onto the flip flops! How simple is that!!!!
I'm going to be a gramma for the first time VERY soon and I just can't wait.
Here is a onsie I made that uses Stampin' Up's Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die
#114507 $21.95.
Instead of sewing them on, I used our Fabric Adhesive Roll #122194 for $14.95
to adhere them to the onsie!
That was easy!!!!!
Another No-Sew project. Use any one of our Bigz dies to cut out flowers and
put them together with a brad for an amazing shabby chic pin! It's all the rage.
The more you wear it, the shabbier it gets – so cool!
Now if you ARE a sewer and more specifically a quilter, here is a project for you.
Use any of our Bigz Dies to create amazing quilts.
How about taking advantage of our Fabric Sale
(www.stampladee.stampinup.net shop online 24/7)
and making a Holiday Stocking with our Holiday Stocking Die #124098 $32.95/.
and when you have the best friends in the whole world, they sew for you!
On the left is a gift from my friend Jan Burnett. It can be used as an apron but I've used it as a swap apron for my cards. When we go to Stampin' Up! events, we swap cards with each other and this is what I've put them in.
On the right is a gift I received from Patsy Waggoner. It's a tissue holder and I carry it with me every day. Every time I blow my nose I think of her! How sweet.
and another amazing friend Linda Heller made these for me.
This is from our Essentials Designer Fabric #126892 that is 50% off also.
It's a Post-It Note Holder.
Too Stinken cute!
This too is from Linda Heller. I use this all the time. She made a bag for my SU tools!
Ohhhhhhhh Linda….love you!!!
Here is a Scissor Holder from one of my outstanding teammates Linda Bennett. She does the best stuff.
This is VERY reproducible. You can sew it or hot glue it. It's made with our Petal Cone Bigz L die #121810 $32.95.
for the first 10 people that order $50 or more from my online store between now and Saturday, March 30th, 2013, I will make you one of these for you. The fabric and embellishments are my choice. So why not order some fabric at 50% off and some dies to make projects and get this as a bonus!
This is from my dear friend Georgia Giguere.
She made me the most adorable purse using the Scallop Square Bigz Clear die.
#115950 $21.95
Here are some little folders for tea/coffee and business cards.
Thank you to my fellow Advisory Board members Josee Smuck and Missy Shipman.
How about decorating dishtowels, placemats or even a canvas.
The flower in the back is adhered to a canvas for wall art!
A pin cushion, a little bag made out of squares (all straight sewing)
using the Scallop Square Bigz Clear die.
#115950 $21.95
and this adorable hand puppet. Can you see the array of dies that we used to make these?
Here are a few SU gifts.
This was made by Shelli and her daughters.
It was filled with CANDY!

Best of Flowers with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho and Happy First Day of Spring Stampers!
So what's wrong with this picture?
It's the firsts day of Spring 2013 and there are 12" of fresh new snow.
Where did my crocuses go?
But at least the sun is shining - So happy first day of Spring!
Another card using the Best of Flowers stamp set.
Here I used the Best of Flowers stamp set from Stampin' Up!.
The cardstock is also Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Basic Gray, and Pink Pirouette.
I used the Fancy Fan Embossing folder on the Basic Gray cardstock for some texture.
Sponge around the circle for depth.
The stamps in this set are a miniature of a stamp set
that was previously sold by Stampin' Up!
To put it into perspective,
the card on the left is the original stamp (from Upsie Daisy)
and the one on the right is from Best of Flowers.
See how small and cute that stamp is.
So adorable. Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to stop by my blog! Have a super first day of Spring!

Best of Flowers with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,
Okay, and you said Spring is when????
This is first thing this morning..yesterday we had green grass!
The phones were not working this morning, lights were flickering and the Direct TV wanted to go wonky!
Time to stamp!
Really!!! Nothing else needs to be said!
For those of you that are signed up for Burnt Hills Continuing Education classes,
the school postponed it to April 17th.
I have been having lots of fun with the new Best of Flowers series stamp set. I'm cleaning out all my stamping supplies getting ready for a HUGE "need to get rid of sale" and it was fun looking at some older cards. A lot of them brought back memories of good times. The original hydrangea in the card on the left was so much bigger. The one on the right is the one I just did. Isn't it so cute! It's a mini me! :0) so tiny compared to the original.
The one on the left is the original, the one on the right is one of the stamps in the set Best of Flowers.
The words are from "Trust God" one of my favorite saying sets.

All Dressed Up with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,
So yesterday was St. Patrick's day. What would St. Patrick's Day be at the Valder household without our traditional Shamrock-Shaped Meatloaf and Green Mashed Potatoes for dinner (for normal people it's corn beef and cabbage - well that says a lot about us, we are NOT normal). So take a look.
mmmmmmm
That IS a shamrock!
They were greener than the picture looks! mmmmm
and here is the asparagus with shredded cheese!
Okay down to work! My card of the day today is all about the All Dressed up suite! Today I used only the dress form. I own a real dress form (I call her Lillie) and she goes with me to my "shows". I put all my handmade Jewelry on her to sell. So this dress form suite is near and dear to my heart.
Lillie – I found her at the neatest store in downtown Schenectady, NY.
The store is called Bliss and it's sooooo way cool! I love, love, love her stuff!
The dress form is collaged first. This is how you do it.
Take a piece of cardstock (whisper white or very vanilla) 5 1/2 x 2 3/4. Start ripping Designer Series Paper (I used the Tea For Two pack) and rip them into small pieces. For the next step you will need your Silicone mat because you need to get the snail adhesive close to the edges of the designer series paper. Just randomly rip and stick making sure the dress form fits on your decorated piece! It should look like the picture above.
Next you want to run it through your big shot. Notice I did not cut it square on the page. That is because I wanted certain colors to appear on my card. So you can twist and turn until you see what you like through the framelit. Cool huh?
Supplies used:
Family Reunion stamp set
Stazon Black Ink
Very Vanilla card stock
Basic Black card stock with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder
Basic Gray card stock withe the Striped embossing Folder
Tea For Two Designer Series Paper
5/8" Flower Trim
Dress Up Framelits
Very Vanilla Seam Binding
Scallop Oval Punch
Large Oval Punch (not the wide oval)
Pearls (colored with a sharpie marker)

Feel Goods stamp set with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,
Okay really!?!!!!!
we got another 6 inches of snow last night
(not a lot in our part of the country but we don't want any more!)
…yesterday we could see the ground!!!
Good Grief, is spring ever going to come?
So with that in mind, I got up and put together a card to make someone feel good! Everyone needs a little cheering up now and then! I got out a "feel good" kind of stamp set called "Feel Goods" made by Stampin' Up! It is a set of 5 stamps and they really do make you feel good when you read them. They can be found on age 21 of the Stampin' Up Hello Catalog #129681 (wood mount) or 129684 (clear mount).
So here it goes.
and this is what I did with it…
I used our new Bitty Butterfly Punch found on page 13 of the Stampin' Up! Hello Catalog. I punched:
13 real red butterflies
11 tangerine tango butterflies
9 daffodil delight butterflies
7 lucky limeade butterflies
and 5 bashful blue butterflies
and one fork bow
before you ask, here is how I started it.
I first did a row of butterflies wing to wing (see the right side);
then I did a second row of the same color every other one (see the left side).
The picture makes them look uneven but they really are.
I layered them on a piece of Bashful Blue Cardstock that was run through our new
Stampin' Up! Cloudy Day textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
I then added three Cupcake tops for clouds (Cupcake Builder Punch #121807)
The littlest butterfly is from Stampin' Up's Beautiful Wings Embosslit #118138 (the yellow one flying away)
and here is the inside of the card made with that beautiful "Feel Goods" stamp set.
Okay it's a little more colorful than I usually do but I like the way it came out. I used this same method on my Perpetual Tray Class this month. It came out just lovely!!
Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to look at my blog post. I hope your day is a sunny one! Take care.
Oh Hello with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,
Okay is anyone other than me ready for Spring? Don't get me wrong, I love winter (well not really but it's what I thought I should say at this point) but I do LOVE Spring. I'm excited because I will be traveling to Washington to see the Cherry Blossoms soon. I'm so excited.
I had my Recruiting Diva Day yesterday and we had a blast! This was a very special day for those that had a new member join our New York Inketts Stamping Group. Email me if you'd like to know more about that. Here are a few pictures to show the fun!
Their bags were filled with super cool stuff from the "Stampin' Up! Hello" catalog.
Here on the front are the shamrock pretzels I made.
They are wrapped in our Gusseted Cellophane Bags #127850.
And here is my Bubbly Green Shamrock Shake!
mmmmmmmmmm – tastylicious
They LOVED them!!!!!!
Do you see all the bows and ribbons….
there's nothing like Stampin' Up! Ribbon and we have it all!
at www.stampladee.stampinup.net

The Best of Birthdays with Deb Valder
Hidy Ho Stampers,

There is stamping (of course), food (mmmmmmmm) and lots and lots of prizes and giveaways! We will have the prize wheel again so you can spin for prizes and a few more surprises in store for you (and you know there is never a dull moment with me at the wheel)! So click on the picture, fill out your form and mail it in along WITH your self-addressed stamped envelope! Hurry.
Today's Quick, easy, simple, speedy card is made with one of the stamps from the BEST OF series. This is a series of stamps that will be rolling out each month for the whole year to Celebrate Stampin' Up!'s 25th Anniversary. Click here to see more details about the promotion (you'll need to scroll through my dinner pictures first :0). Anyway, this is the card I made for those that have joined my "Oldies but Goodies" group. I hand-stamp them a card for each month they buy that stamp set and mail it out to them! I love this one.
So here is a shot to show you there is a hole in the card :0)!
Flat boring picuture but needed to show you what it looks like closed.
ooooooooooo aaaahhhhhhhhh…see all the layers?
Then when you open it, the stamp is on the back of the card base.
Here are a few pointers. When you cut out the oval with the NEW Oval framelits, put your base card and your 4" x 5 1/4" together and cut them together. See more of the directions below.
The size of the black piece that is layered or "sandwiched" in between the white ovals is 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" then I punched out the smallest oval in the set.
Supplies:
Stamps Set: NEW The Best of Birthdays #132929 clear mount only
Card Stock: Whisper White and Basic Black
Ink: VersaMark
Accessories:
NEW #129381 Ovals Collection Framelits (if you buy the Oh, Hello Bundle #131102 wood mount or #131101 clear mount, you will get the bundle which includes the framelits for 15% off)! It's totally worth it.
NEW #127819 Lacy Brocade Textured Embossing Folder (it was the folder that was in the Holiday Catalog and carried over)
#109133 Black Stampin' Embossing Powder
#119859 Extra Large Oval Punch (which coordinates perfectly with this stamp and complements the Ovals Framelits)
#120922 Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon
Dimensionals and Glue Dots were also used (click here to find out how to get all your adhesives in one bundle)
Directions:
Take a piece of Whisper White Card Stock that measure 4 1/4" x 11" and score it at 5 1/2, this will be your base card.
Take a piece of Whisper White Card Stock that measures 4" x 5 1/4" and temporarily adhere this to the front of your base card. Run it through the Big Shot with the #2 Oval. Then run this piece through the Big Shot with the Lace Brocade Embossing folder (make sure you do it in this order or your Lacy Brocade design will flatten out a little). Wrap your 5" piece of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon around this layer. Put Stampin' Dimensioanls on the back and set aside for just a moment.
Next cut a piece of Basic Black Card Stock that measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and center the smallest oval #1 on this piece of black. Run it through the Big Shot. Adhere this to the Base card with snail adhesive (hint open up the card to center see photo #4 above).
Now add the top layer to the base card that has the black oval on it.
On a piece of Whisper White scrap paper, stamp the Best OF Birthday stamp with Versa Mark ink. Add black embossing powder and heat with your heat tool. Punch this out with your extra large oval punch. Put dimensionals on the back. With the card closed, slide this punched piece through the hole to adhere.
Now add a fork bow and you are DONE!!!!
I thank you so much for taking time out of your day to stop by and see me! What a nice person you are! Thank you and don't forget to get all your stamping supplies at www.stampladee.stampinup.net! I'd love to have you stop by the store and just shop til you drop.
